Lisa sighed softly and picked up her clothes then put them on. Done dressing, with her head up, she walked out of his room.

Outside the room, she leaned against the wall and placed her hands on her neck which were hurting. She felt so much pain all over her body. Tears burned in her eyes at the thought that life was being unfair to her.

But then on the other hand she still wondered why he was restraining himself. He would have s*x with her and wouldn't finish. She thought he hated her so much and his wish was to make her suffer then why hold me back? she thought staggering to her room.

But then she waved off the thought" it's none of my business" she muttered lowly as she sat on her bed. She wiped her tears and lay tiredly on the bed.

She felt so tired both physically and emotionally. She had gone through so much in one day. She laid down on the bed and forced herself to sleep.

It was morning again and another day to be precise. Yesterday was gone and today is another day.

Lisa had woken up a little bit late, she was feeling pains all over her body, but then the pain she felt in her body was nothing compared to the pain she was feeling in her heart. She felt so tired and was feeling almost lifeless.

She managed to stand up from the bed, took her bath, and wore her clothes then sat on the bed tiredly. Her head aching, her entire system was not just functioning well. She laid on the bed tiredly, trying to force herself to sleep again when the door creaked open revealing a maid, holding a tray of food in her hands.

"I'm sorry if I didn't knock, it was not intentional," the maid said and placed the food on the table which was in the room. Lisa nodded in reply, she was feeling too tired to say anything but then she recognized the maid, she was the one Ria had slapped yesterday.

The maid moved towards Lisa and sat close to her on the bed. Suddenly, she hugged her tightly and whispered to her ear "everything is going to be fine, you are going to be alright!!" The maid said, trying to console her. She knew Lisa needed a shoulder to cry on, the poor thing had gone through so much and needed a hug, and Mia was giving her that hug now.

Lisa felt her heart melt instantly, these were the same words her mother told her before she passed away. Oh, mummy, I miss you so much, she thought and the tears she's been holding for long she finally let go. Tears slipped down her closed eyes down her cheeks.

The maid pulled away from the hug and gave her a warm smile, she wiped her tears.

"C'mon you should eat your food," the maid said and brought the food close to Lisa.

"What is your name?"

"Mia"

"How long have you been working here?"

"17 years"

"17years?" Lisa asked, making sure she heard her right.

"Yeah. I started working here at a very young age" She spoke and tears slipped down her cheeks.

"After the death of my parents, I was left alone in the street. I ate from dustbin to dustbin but then ma'am laura saw me and took me in to work for her as a maid and I'm grateful to her" mia smiled out tears.

"Who is Ma'am laura?" Lisa asked curiously.

"Oh!! She's sir Alfred mom and the daughter of ma'am Teresa"

Ma'am Teresa?? Come to think of it, it's been a while since I saw her. I wonder where she is and I hope she's fine wherever she is now.

"Where is Ma'am Laura now?"

"She died of cancer. It was really painful. She left us all alone, ``Mia said and burst into tears. She felt like a knife had been pierced into her heart after she heard of ma'am laura's death, it was a sudden and painful death and no one expected it. How painful!!. It still feels like her death was just yesterday.

Mia laughed and wiped her tears.

"I'm sorry, I just get too emotional these days. You should eat your food" she stood up and was about to leave when Lisa called her name and she turned to her.

"Do you know anything about what my father did to Alfred and his family?"

Mia stiffened instantly. "No I don't," she said in a rush and was about to leave when Lisa held her hands and she turned to her. She stood up from the bed she was sitting on.

"Please mia, I beg you please tell me what my father did to make me deserve this?" Tears slid down Lisa's cheek and Mia felt moved by her tears.

"I'm sorry I can't tell you," she said and looked away.

"Please mia," she said and was about to go on her knees but mia held her and helped her stand up properly and made her sit on the bed and sat close to her.

She stared at Lisa whose tears were sliding from her cheeks nonstop before she finally spoke.

"Your father raped Alfred's mother till she was bleeding and killed her, he killed his father, and his little brother, he.........." She paused when she heard footsteps close to the door and she quickly stood up.

"I need to go now!!" She said and Lisa nodded and muttered a thank you. Just as she was about to walk out of the room, the door burst open revealing Alfred.

"Oh, God!! I'm dead!!" Mia murmured in fear.

Alfred stood close to the door staring at Lisa who bowed her head and then his eyes moved to Mia who was now shivering in fear.

"Get out!!" He said in his cold voice and Mia quickly ran out of the room.

He closed the door behind him and walked fully inside the room.

Lisa quickly stood up with her head bowed and Alfred smirked.

"I can see you are learning fast!!" He muttered, voice calm but deadly as nom.

Lisa managed to raise her head and both of their eyes met. She felt a shiver run down her arms, she quickly looked away. The expression on his face was blank and all she could see was pure hatred in his eyes, no this wasn't hatred, it was more than hate. it was loathing. His looks were so cold and she wondered when was the last time this person standing before her smiled.

Her father had done so much to him and his family. She wondered will this soul ever find the happiness he deserves after all the traumatic experiences. She swallowed hard, she could feel his pain, and then she realized that she deserves whatever punishment she's getting from him.

"You should get dressed and meet me downstairs in three minutes" Alfred spoke after what seemed like an eternity.

"You must dress decently and not keep me waiting," he said and with that, he walked out of the room.

Lisa raised her head when she heard the door close behind him. She sighed softly as she stared at the untouched food on the bed and stood up from the bed Wondering why he had told her to get dressed and meet him downstairs. wondering if she's going out with him.
