Gu Ruoshan stepped out of the car and halted at the sight of Gu Zhiwei.

What was Gu Zhiwei doing here? She never attended these kinds of gatherings.

Gu Ruoshan curbed the jealousy bubbling within her and greeted her with a gracious smile. "Sister, you're attending the class reunion as well? This is the first time I've seen you at a group event."

After finishing her sentence, she affectionately linked arms with her companion.

Gu Zhiwei narrowed her eyes as she heard footsteps approaching from behind, quickly grasping the situation.

Qin Lang's eyes reddened with anger. "I saw it with my own eyes! Gu Zhiwei pushed you!"

Gu Zhiwei let out a cold laugh.

"Young Master Qin, you're quick to rage for a lady's sake, but she doesn't hold you in her heart. Instead of throwing your weight around, why not find out if she's already been claimed by someone else?"

Chen Xixi chimed in, "Gu Ruoshan is set to marry Young Master Bo. The whole school is buzzing with the news!"

Qin Lang stood frozen, taking a long while to process before he finally turned to Gu Ruoshan. "Is what she's saying true?"

Gu Ruoshan gripped her skirt, her expression one of helplessness as she shook her head. "I must obey my parents' wishes. You're aware that the marriage alliance between the Gu and Bo families was arranged by our elders."

Qin Lang, as the scion of the Qin family, held a prominent position in the capital, though not quite as illustrious as the Bo family.

Despite her impending engagement to Bo Yandong, she hoped Qin Lang wouldn't grow distant because of it.
