C27 (part I)

The man lifted his gaze, his eyes clear and piercing, and his cool lips slowly formed the words, "I believe in her."

He had encountered such clumsy tactics far too often within the Bo family.

Whoever was behind this was foolish!

The man subtly glanced at Gu Ruoshan, his eyes harboring a deep and unfathomable ferocity.

The waiter, holding the room card, stepped forward to unlock the door.

Gu Ruoshan inhaled sharply, knowing that if she opened that door, Gu Zhiwei's reputation would be shattered!

Yet, before a smirk could form on her lips, a lazy voice drifted in from the edge of the crowd.

"What's all the excitement about? What's everyone looking at?"

Gu Ruoshan tensed up, the smugness in her eyes instantly shattering.

The crowd turned to see Gu Zhiwei casually leaning at the end of the hallway, her stance nonchalant.

She raised her eyes to meet Gu Ruoshan amidst the crowd, her smile cool and detached, "What's the matter? Surprised to see me here?"

The crowd parted to create a pathway, all eyes cautiously on Gu Zhiwei, with everyone too apprehensive to even breathe too loudly.

Gu Zhiwei strode up to Gu Ruoshan and whispered something in her ear.

All anyone could see was Gu Ruoshan's body freeze, her complexion turning ghostly pale.

Gu Tingchuan shot Gu Zhiwei an annoyed look, "What's with the aimless wandering? You've got everyone worried about your safety, searching high and low for you!"

Was it concern for her safety, or were they just waiting to see her downfall?

Gu Zhiwei's gaze dropped, her lips curling into a sardonic smile.

It seemed Gu Tingchuan couldn't wait for her to be disgraced!

Gu Zhiwei moved forward, intentionally pushing open the door to Room 1708, "You're all curious about this room? Unfortunately, there's nothing to see."

Lin Li peeked inside and her face turned a ghastly shade of green.

The room was spotless, showing no signs of having been used.

Not only was Gu Zhiwei unharmed, but Qin Lang had also vanished without a trace.

Where had things gone wrong?

Lin Li bit her lip, forcing herself to look away from her resentment, "It was all a misunderstanding. Now that she's been found, let's all go our separate ways."

At that, Gu Zhiwei's eyebrows lifted slightly.

She turned to face the crowd, her gaze finally settling on the distinguished and aloof man, a genuine smile dawning in her eyes.

She had overheard his words just moments ago.

Approaching Bo Yandong, Gu Zhiwei's legs gave out, and she collapsed into his embrace.

The sight of Gu Zhiwei tumbling into Bo Yandong's arms cast an eerie tension over the room.

Ning Yishu watched Gu Zhiwei with a furrowed brow, as if a thought had struck him, but he hesitated to speak.

Bo Yandong firmly grasped the woman's slender waist and gazed down at her cheeks, now tinged with red. His refined eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"What's wrong?" he inquired gently.

He had sensed that something was off with her from the moment she arrived.

Gu Zhiwei reached up to encircle his shoulder and whispered in his ear, "Take me away, Yandong."

The man tensed, then swept her up in his arms with a firm hold on her waist.

A chorus of gasps echoed around them.

Deep into the night at Bo Manor.

Bo Yandong carried Gu Zhiwei from the garden into the villa's grand hall, leaving onlookers agape in disbelief.

Once in the bedroom, Gu Zhiwei became even more daring, wrapping her arms around his neck and reaching up to kiss him.

Left with no alternative, Bo Yandong took her into the bathroom.

The warm shower cascaded over Gu Zhiwei, soaking her through.

Her black cotton dress clung to her form, accentuating her curves in the steamy haze, exuding a dangerous allure.

Bo Yandong wrenched his gaze away, only to inadvertently notice a wound on the woman's thigh, which left him momentarily frozen.

"What happened?"
