Gu Zhiwei opened her eyes with dissatisfaction, "Is that it?"

The man's ears had turned a deep shade of red, and he averted his gaze from her.

He cleared his throat and said, "It's getting late. You should head back and get some rest. I'll come to pick you up in the morning."

True to his word, Bo Yandong arrived the next morning to pick up Gu Zhiwei.

As soon as Zhiwei got into the car, she handed Yandong a prescription, "I prepared a calming and restorative remedy for your grandmother last night. Consider it a small token from me to help with her cough."

Yandong was taken aback. He had assumed that after his grandmother's misunderstanding, Zhiwei would harbor resentment towards her. Yet, here she was, offering a prescription to aid in his grandmother's recovery.

It took him a moment before he responded in a soft voice, "Thank you, Zhiwei."

His tone was tender, seemingly softened by the early morning rays of sunlight.

Zhiwei was momentarily caught off guard, feeling as though something had gently brushed against her heart.

It was a tingling sensation, laced with a trace of sweetness.

They quickly reached the entrance of Beiverlim University. Zhiwei stepped out of the car and bid farewell to the man inside, "See you tonight."

Not far off, Gu Ruoshan and two classmates witnessed this exchange.

"Ruoshan, isn't that your sister? What's she doing at the university? And stepping out of a luxury car, no less?"

Gu Ruoshan clutched a stack of books, her fingertips turning pale from the pressure.

She bit her lip and narrowed her eyes.

"I'm not sure," she replied softly. "But I've heard that my sister has recently started dating a very wealthy man. Apparently, he's much older and already has a family."

She then lowered her head as if in regret, "My dad has been arguing with her about it these past few days, but as you know..."

"Ah? She's involved with a married man?"

"That makes her the other woman!" one of the female classmates exclaimed with outrage. "That's outrageous! Absolutely disgraceful!"

"I heard she even flirted with Mr. Bo at your birthday party, right in front of everyone?"

Ruoshan stiffened for a moment before managing a strained smile, "Those are just rumors, there's no truth to it."

"No matter what, Mr. Bo would never be interested in a woman as fickle as Gu Zhiwei! Hmph! I'm going to expose her despicable actions right now and make sure she can't hold her head up at school!"

Gu Zhiwei's smile was strained as she watched the girl beside her pull out her phone and log into the Beiverlim University forum, a glint in her eyes.

Chapter 26: Tit for Tat

Computer Science Department.

Chen Xixi saw the content on the forum and rushed to Gu Zhiwei, handing her the phone with a look of indignation.

"Zhiwei, how could they write such things!"

Gu Zhiwei diverted her gaze, briefly scanning the phone screen. In just a moment, she had a good idea of what was going on.

"Do you have a computer with you?"

"I didn't bring mine, but there's one in my dorm. I'll go get it," Xixi offered.

Before she could leave, a laptop was passed to her—it was Qin Lang.

Gu Zhiwei arched an eyebrow and said coolly, "Thank you."

She then powered up the laptop, her slender, graceful fingers dancing across the keyboard at a breathtaking speed.

Qin Lang was captivated by her actions and couldn't resist standing behind her, intently watching the computer screen.

Moments later, his eyes widened in astonishment.

The computer screen displayed the IP address and username of the person who had made the post.

It was a freshly created burner account, now deactivated.

Gu Zhiwei's gaze lowered as her elegant fingers continued their swift dance on the keyboard.

Shortly after, she stopped and shut the laptop.

"All done," she announced, rising to her feet and turning to Chen Xixi, "Xixi, let's go."

The others watched her, baffled.

Was that it?

After a flurry of cryptic maneuvers, they just stopped investigating the burner account?
