C38 (last part)

Qin Lang stood with his head bowed, a perplexed look in his eyes.

He hadn't understood Gu Zhiwei's last move at all.

Elsewhere, Gu Ruoshan was on the phone, "I'll pay you ten million yuan to spread the word. I want to know everything about Mr. Bo—his hobbies, daily routine, and recent interests. No detail is too small!"

At the top floor of Bo's Group, a man was meticulously reviewing a document.

Qin Chuan hesitated, head bowed.

"Speak up, don't waste my time," came the icy command.

Qin Chuan pulled out his phone, opened a post, and showed it to Bo Yandong, "Mr. Bo, someone photographed you this morning while you were with the young madam. They're spreading malicious rumors, claiming that she..."

Bo Yandong set down his pen and gave the post a brief glance, his aura chilling instantly.

"Get Chen Liang to handle it," he said, his voice a low growl of suppressed anger.

"Yes," Qin Chuan replied, head still lowered. "Should we investigate the identity of the poster?"

"Do it," the man replied curtly. "And remind Principal Zhu that if the school doesn't address those who publicly defame the innocent, he might want to start looking for another job."

Qin Chuan stiffened, "Understood!"

Noticing Qin Chuan hadn't left, Bo Yandong's brows knitted slightly, "Anything else?"

"Mr. Ming called. He'll be back next month for the old lady's birthday banquet and wanted to know if there's anything you'd like him to bring."

Bo Ming had traveled to the southern hemisphere a year ago to see the snow and ended up staying the whole year.

At the mention of Bo Ming, a hint of warmth touched the usually cold corners of Bo Yandong's mouth.

"No need," he replied. "His return is enough."

"Hold on," Bo Yandong called out as Qin Chuan turned to leave. "Any progress on the task you were given?"

Qin Chuan shook his head, "The hacker is too skilled; even Manta can't track him down."

Bo Yandong's eyes narrowed, a complex gleam flickering within.

As long as he was still alive, his tracks would inevitably be uncovered one day. He wasn't in any rush at the moment.

Inside the Beiverlim University cafeteria, Chen Xixi sat down with a gloomy expression, clutching her tray. "Zhiwei, why did you stop the investigation? You even found their alternate account!"

If only her skills were more refined, she would have tracked the person down and given them a piece of her mind.

Gu Zhiwei just smiled and said, "There's no need to hurry."

Chen Xixi pulled out her phone, ready to engage in another round of online battles with the person who had insulted Gu Zhiwei. But upon opening the app, she noticed a trending post had been bumped to the top.

"Zhiwei! You have to see this!" Chen Xixi, brimming with excitement, passed her phone over. "That awful Zhao Qiao, after all the terrible things she's done, is finally getting her comeuppance!"

The forum was ablaze with Zhao Qiao's account, which had suddenly posted numerous explicit photos, all featuring the same person. In contrast to Gu Zhiwei, whose rumors had no supporting images, Zhao Qiao's scandal was far more explosive.

Gu Zhiwei didn't even bother to look up. "I'm not interested."

Chen Xixi took back her phone and idly scrolled through the forum. "Huh? The post spreading rumors about you seems to be gone? Someone asked about it, and the admin claims they didn't delete it. Zhiwei, did you remove it secretly?"

Gu Zhiwei paused, her hand mid-air with food, "I didn't do it."

She had intentionally kept that post up as evidence against Zhao Qiao.

Who could be assisting her from the shadows?

"Whoever it was, it's a relief that it's gone!" Chen Xixi turned off her phone and resumed eating. "Let's not worry about it now. We should eat!"

Midway through the meal, Chen Xixi's curiosity got the better of her. "By the way, Zhiwei, what made you decide to come to class all of a sudden?"
