C4 Mr Bo It's the First Time!
"It looks like rain is on the way. We should get going."
Bo Yandong's lips were tightly pursed as he gazed at her, his eyes as deep and inscrutable as a bottomless lake.
He remained silent for a long while before striding toward her.
The first rain of the evening caught them by surprise.
A sleek Harley motorcycle cut through the wind and rain, its roar piercing the storm.
Bo Yandong, with a stoic expression, sat on the back seat, his broad and strong hand gently encircling Gu Zhiwei's slender waist.
It had been years since he'd experienced such a sense of unfettered freedom.
Minutes later, the Harley entered the underground garage of the Elite Community and came to a steady halt in a parking spot.
Gu Zhiwei dismounted first, removing her helmet, "The rain's too heavy. Come to my place to wait it out, and I'll take you home once it stops."
Without a word, Bo Yandong got off the bike and followed her into the elevator, both of them soaked to the skin.
Raindrops clung to Gu Zhiwei's arm, making her skin appear ghostly pale in the light. The pink rose tattoo on her left arm seemed all the more striking.
Bo Yandong withdrew his gaze and asked in a deep voice, "Aren't you going back to the Gu residence?"
He had heard rumors of Miss Zhiwei's defiant departure from her family home after her freshman year of college.
With a tone of scorn, Gu Zhiwei replied, "That place isn't my home."
To her, that place was a childhood nightmare.
Sensing the chill in her voice, Bo Yandong chose not to press further.
The elevator came to a stop on the tenth floor.
They exited one after the other and approached the door of apartment 1005. Gu Zhiwei rang the doorbell, and soon Bo Yandong heard an odd, distinctive sound from inside.
It was the sound of a walking stick scraping against the floor.
After about half a minute, the door swung open to reveal a handsome face, followed by a clear and gentle voice, "Is my sister back?"
Bo Yandong fixed his eyes on the young man before him, feeling a flicker of surprise.
The boy appeared to be in his mid-teens, with delicate and refined features. However, his tea-gray eyes were dim and lifeless.
In just one glance, Bo Yandong knew this had to be Gu Zhiwei's brother, related by blood.
Yet, he had never heard of a blind young master in the Gu family.
The current little master of the Gu family, Gu Ruochen, was the son of Gu Tingchuan and his second wife, Lin Li. At just ten years old, he was the apple of their eye.
The moment Gu Zhiwei laid eyes on the boy, her usually icy gaze softened.
"Zhinan, it's me."
Upon recognizing her voice, Gu Zhinan's lips slowly curved into a smile. He then sniffed the air and furrowed his brow, "Sister, is there someone with you?"
Gu Zhiwei cast a brief, nonchalant look at Bo Yandong, "Yes, a friend of mine."
Gu Zhinan stepped aside with a smile, "Sister, this is the first time you've brought a friend home."
Despite his confusion, Bo Yandong maintained his composure and nodded in polite greeting, "Hello, Bo Yandong."
Bo Yandong was known for his reticence, and his self-introduction was no exception—brief and to the point.
Gu Zhinan, though taken aback to see Gu Zhiwei with a man, remained warmly welcoming, "I'm Gu Zhinan. Please, come inside, brother!"
It was a peculiar sight—a twenty-eight-year-old man being called 'brother' by a sixteen-year-old boy. Yet, to Young Master Bo, it seemed perfectly fitting.
He followed Gu Zhiwei into her home, a warm and inviting two-bedroom apartment. Though modest in size, it was arranged with exceptional warmth. The sofa was a cool shade of gray, contrasting with the soft pink of the background wall, which added a touch of coziness to the space.
