C40 Fuck You!(last part)
Chen Xixi couldn't tolerate Gu Ruoshan's talent for spouting lies. She stepped forward to shield Gu Zhiwei. "Gu Ruoshan, Zhiwei is the real victim here, okay? Zhao Qiao was the one at fault first. What's wrong with Zhiwei defending herself?"
Gu Ruoshan stepped back, her voice soft and fragile, "Zhao Qiao didn't mean to. She was just talking about what she saw."
"Just because she says she saw it, that makes it true? Is there a photo? Any evidence?" Chen Xixi demanded indignantly.
Gu Ruoshan bit her lip.
If there were a photo, a simple investigation would reveal that the car belonged to the Bo family's Young Master Bo Yandong.
She certainly couldn't let it slip that Gu Zhiwei had gotten out of Yandong's car that morning.
Taking a deep breath, Gu Ruoshan spoke earnestly, "Sister, I know you're upset right now. Can you please calm down? If you keep this up, you're going to drive Zhao Qiao insane."
Her plea appeared to be one for mercy, yet it subtly suggested to everyone that Zhiwei was aggressive and relentless.
Just then, Principal Zhu's booming voice echoed from the cafeteria entrance, "Who's causing a disturbance here?"
Zhao Qiao, as if spotting a lifeline, cried out, "Principal! Help me!"
Gu Ruoshan's eyes brightened, and she hurried toward Principal Zhu.
"Principal! You have to help Zhao Qian. My sister—"
Principal Zhu arrived with two security officers, glanced briefly at Gu Zhiwei, then turned his attention back to Gu Ruoshan without a trace of reaction.
"What's going on here?"
Gu Ruoshan hastily embellished the story of the recent events, conveniently omitting Zhao Qiao's rumor-mongering about Zhiwei and the knife incident.
Chen Xixi, unable to stand the distortion of truth, burst out, "Gu Ruoshan, just stop talking! Do you think we're all idiots? You..."
"Enough from all of you!" Principal Zhu commanded sternly.
He gestured to the security guards to separate Gu Zhiwei and Zhao Qiao. "Everyone, come with me to the school administration office!"
Once in the office, Zhao Qiao burst into tears the moment she walked through the door, claiming that Gu Zhiwei was heartless and out to ruin her.
"Principal, Gu Zhiwei must be expelled!"
Principal Zhu's face was stern as he listened, "Do you confess to posting the rumors about Gu Zhiwei?"
"As a Beiverlim student, your actions were dishonest and malicious, spreading rumors and tarnishing a classmate's reputation. This is a serious breach of our school's policies. Effective immediately, you are expelled."
Zhao Qiao was shell-shocked, unable to trust her own ears.
Gu Zhiwei, sitting to the side, noted the principal's demeanor and deduced who was behind it.
On a sultry September afternoon, the sunset cast a stunning glow across the sky.
Gu Zhiwei waited under the banyan tree for her ride.
As Qin Lang approached, his heart raced.
"Thank you for what you did before."
His voice was subdued, tinged with frustration, "And, I apologize."
Gu Zhiwei's lips curved into a slight smile. "I accept your apology."
Qin Lang looked up, astonished.
She had actually accepted his apology?
He had assumed she would respond with sarcasm, given her fiery nature.
Gu Zhiwei glanced forward, her attractive features lighting up with a smile.
She snuffed out her cigarette and expertly tossed it into a distant trash bin. "I'm off."
Qin Lang watched her graceful departure, his mind suddenly ablaze, he called out, "May I take you out to dinner?"
He quickly added, "As an apology."
Without looking back, Gu Zhiwei casually waved him off. "No thanks, I have plans tonight."
Qin Lang watched her cross the street and slide into a Bentley parked curbside.
