“Sophie! Sophie! Sophie!” Amanda’s voice pierced through Sophie’s thoughts.

“Huh?” Sophie blinked, pulled out of her thoughts.

“You seem a thousand miles away. What’s up with you?” Amanda asked, with concern evident.

“It’s nothing. I’m fine.” Sophie shook her head, trying to get things out of her head.

Amanda leaned in, her gaze intense. “Sure about that?” Her brows raised
