C8 The Perfect Escape.
Maria took a quick look at the list in her hand before returning her gaze to Sophie, “Dear, I have a few errands to run, Mr Rossuo sent me some items to pick up. I’ll be back as soon as possible, please take care of everything until I'm back, alright?”
“Sure thing mom.” Sophie smiled.
“If you're hungry, there's some food for you in the kitchen. You can also have some fruits too if you want.” Maria added.
Sophie pocketed her hands into her shorts, “Thanks mom. You should get going already so you can come back on time.”
“Alright, alright. Bye!” Maria called as she walked briskly towards the door.
Sophie sighed as she turned on her heels, headed towards the direction of her room.
“Wow. You're so hot.” Larry's voice put Sophie to an abrupt halt.
Sophie was dressed in casuals, a small red top and a black short. Her long black hair was rolled up into a bun, revealing her round face crested with golden brown eyes.
Sophie turned to see Larry's charming face, “Uh..thank you.” She appreciated it with a smile.
Larry strolled down the stairs but his eyes remained fixed on Sophie.
“Why don't you dress like this often?” Larry inquired.
Sophie was quite surprised by the question but she still answered, “Well…I don't want to be looking odd amongst the staff.”
Larry took Sophie's hand in his, “As long as I'm around, you shouldn't really worry about any other person. Will you dress like this often? For me? Please?”
Larry's words had a way of melting Sophie's composure, as she looked him in the eye, she didn't realize when she nodded her head with a smile.
“Great!” Larry said excitedly.
Sophie stood there quietly,”umm, I'm going to my room.”
Larry stopped her by pulling her hand, “No, you're coming with me milady.”
Sophie's face flushed red, “Where to?”
Larry draped his arm over Sophie's shoulders, “The kitchen, I'm hungry.”
Larry threw a naughty glance at Sophie, “I want you to serve me and maybe feed me too.”
Sophie stifled a laugh, “I'm not doing that.”
Larry's brow furrowed, “Please?”
“No.” Sophie insisted.
Larry moved his hand from her shoulders to her waist, he leaned in, placing his face by Sophie's ears.
“Sweetheart, please don't refuse me.” He whispered in her ears.
His voice was so alluring that Sophie felt she'd be guilty of a crime if she refused him.
“Alright, fine.” Sophie gave in.
Larry smirked as he returned his arm to Sophie's shoulders, knowing that his flirtatious charm worked yet again.
“So, what will you have?” Sophie asked as they stepped into the kitchen.
“Whatever you want, honey.” Larry replied casually.
Calm down Sophie, these are just names. It doesn't mean he likes you or anything. Sophie took a deep breath as she picked up a banana from the fruit bowl.
“Here, you should have this while I warm up the food.” Sophie extended her hand towards Larry.
“My hands hurt, feed me princess.” Larry feigned quiver in his voice.
“Uh..ok..sure.” Sophie slowly took off the banana peel.
“I want to unravel you like that.” Larry muttered.
Sophie raised her head, “What was that?”
“Oh, nothing. I was just talking to myself.” Larry lied with a naughty smile on his face.
“Yeah, right.” Sophie smirked at him because she heard him clearly.
******
Sophie paced back and forth in her room.
“It's almost eight, I have to leave real soon or else I'll be late.” Sophie mumbled to herself.
Sophie peeked her head out the door, everyone was still wide awake and busy with themselves.
“I can't go through the front door if not, I'd be questioned.” Sophie rolled her hand into a fist, placing it in front of her mouth.
“How do I get out of here?” She muffled into her fist and then a wave of cool air washed over her body from the window.
And then the idea came!
That's it. I'll just sneak out instead. Sophie quickly changed into a sweatpant and a casual top.
She pulled her blanket off her bed and moved to the window.
She tied the hem of the blanket to the window's burglary before throwing it down.
With one leg in her room and the other outside her window, Sophie was ready to make her sneak out.
“Hey princess, what are you..”
“Woah!”Sophie gasped in fear.
Larry raised a brow, “Why'd you look so scared? Do I look like a ghost?”
Sophie placed her hand on her chest to calm her racing heart.
“No, no you just scared me.”
“Awh, I'm sorry pumpkin, I didn't mean to.”Larry apologized as he walked in.
“Why are you sitting on the window though?”
Sophie realized she was sitting on the window, she quickly moved her hips to the front so she could cover the blanket she tied.
“Nothing, I just wanted to enjoy the fresh air.” She lied.
Larry nodded, “Alright milady. Aren't you coming down for dinner? That's why I came up here. I don't want to have my food without you.”
He’s so good at flirting. Sophie thought to herself.
Sophie thought of the quickest lie to dismiss Larry, “Umm, I had a big lunch so I'm still full. I'll skip dinner tonight.”
“You sure?”
Sophie nodded subtly.
“Alright. I'll leave you to enjoy the night's breeze, I'll stop by when I'm about to sleep.”
“Oh, you don't have to. I'd probably be asleep by then. We can always talk tomorrow.” Sophie said with a smile, but behind that smile was an impatient lady.
Larry cupped her face, “Alright honey.”
Sophie watched Larry leave and the moment the door snapped shut, Sophie snuck out to the nightclub.

“Good morning Mr Russuo!” Isabella's voice echoed through the room as she walked into the house.
“Ah, Isabella my dear. Come here.” Russuo spread his arms wide to receive Isabella in his arms.
Isabella hugged Mr Russuo tightly, “It's so good to see you.”
“Same here, how's your dad?” Russuo asked as he took a seat on the couch.
Isabella joined him on the couch, “He's fine. He couldn't accompany me today because he was really busy.”
Russuo smiled, “Charles and his love for work.”
“You two are alike.” Isabella said with a warm smile.
Russuo nodded in agreement, “Yes indeed.”
“She's such a beautiful lady.” Sophie admired Isabella as she cleaned the dining table.
Sophie walked towards them, “I should go ask Mr Russuo if he needs anything and get a better look at her.”
“Sir, will you need anything?” Sophie asked politely.
Russuo seemed to be in a good mood, “No, you should ask her.”
Sophie's gaze moved to Isabella who sat by Russuo's left, “Ma'am, do you need anything?”
“Yes, a bottle of mineral water.”
Sophie nodded and left to get it.
“Here you go, ma'am.” Sophie arrived with a tray in her hand.
“Thank you.”
The clicking of heels were heard from the stairs, Isabella turned to see who it was.
Isabella smiled sheepishly, “Oh, my fiancé is here already.”
The tray dropped from Sophie's hand together with her heart upon the statement.
