C7 MEMORIES
"Knock! Knock!" Stacy got no response.
"Knock Knock! Urgh!" She gasped and moved in seeing that the door was opened.
Jason can be seen lying down, facing the window. The room was dark. Stacy's finger trailed the wall and she switched on the lights.
She quickly dropped the meal she was carrying and went straight to the bed. She sat beside Jason, staring at him closely.
His eyes were closed. He lay down comfortably, with a smile on his face.
"Jeez! What's that?"
Stacy gently lifted her right hand to reach his face which she has been admiring since she sat there.
She let out a smile, gasped and moved her hand towards his face.
Immediately, Jason caught her hand with his eyes shut.
Stacy's eyes widened and she watched in awe. "like what the?"
He scratched his head and gently opened his eyes. He creased his brow and asked
"what are you doing here?"
"Emmm, I came to drop your lunch, it's... L..unch time, isn't it?" She chuckled nervously.
"Oh really? It seems like I can't even have a proper sleep in my own house, ish!" He complained.
"I'm sorry about what happened at the dining table" she rushed her words.
"I was being stupid" she added
He gasped. "It's fine."
Stacy looked at her hand still in his grip.
"Can I go now?" She uttered moving her eyes to her hand and his face.
"Yea, sure." He replied and dropped her hand. She stood up and headed to the door when Jason spoke up.
"Don't you ever try to touch my face again"
"Oh," she mouthed as her heart skipped a bit. "Ok" she turned towards the door and left with a worried look.
"Seems like he doesn't even want me around, how am I gonna stay in this big house alone" she whined, sluggishly moving to her room.
**********
Stacy switched on her phone. She had no pictures, videos or music again. When her phone was stolen, everything was intact. She sadly stared at a picture posted on the wall. It was a woman feeding her child a red apple. The woman wore torn clothes but she managed to feed her child. The picture displayed Mother's care towards her child. She let out a smile as a tear trailed down her face.
#Flashback
"Don't leave us Edna" a man yelled trying to stop his wife.
"What? What? I'm done, shit! Don't you get it" a young woman snapped.
"What about our daughter? What about Stacy? He said gesturing his hand towards the little girl.
"This wasn't the plan, Rich! You know all this was a mistake. I don't love you, I love Steve" she voiced out.
She moved towards Little Stacy "Hey, Mommy loves you ok but Steve's waiting for me. Be a good girl to Daddy and you won't regret it" she smiled and patted her head.
"Good bye Rich!" She slammed the door right Infront of him and left him with the little Stacy who was just 5 then.
"Where's mom going to daddy? Little Stacy asked.
Rich breathed out and lifted her
"she's coming right back, ok? Let's go make dinner" he replied lifting her as she chuckled.
End of Flashback#
"I miss you, Mom. Dad, a handsome stranger helped me and I wish you could see him" she chuckled sadly crying. She sniffed and cleaned her tears with her arm.
"It's alright" she assured herself. "I guess I'm a bit safe now. Great" she muttered sarcastically.
Jason has been leaning on her door all this while, he made to go to the living room when he overheard her talking to no one in particular.
His head resting perfectly on the door with his hands in his jogger's pockets.
He breathed out and descended the stairs.
Stacy scampered onto her bed and laid down hugging her knees. In a few minutes, she drifted to sleep.
Jason was quite disturbed, why would Stone be interested in her?
He searched for her name and immediately he dropped the mouse.
She is the daughter of the Renowned Mr Richmond Torres. The once-successful man of business who had an only daughter. It's recorded that he had a great Father-daughter relationship with Her. With this fact, all her father's properties may belong to her now. He flinched and moved his chair far away from the screen.
"If she's this rich. Why does she work in a company that she can buy? Why does she have to stoop so low? Shit! That's why Stone's looking for her. Dumbass!" He stood up and banged the wall.
"What's even wrong with me? Why did I get involved with this Stone crap?" He cursed under his breath.
"I really don't like the mess-up stuff and the worst of it all, I just told her she's gonna be staying with me. "Urgh! When did I start protecting girls?"
Immediately Jason's phone rang and he stood up to answer it.
"I want you to retrieve to stolen cash from the Daggers, Petran just reported that they are on the way after the bank robbery attack." Stone's voice could be heard from the other side of the phone.
"Can't someone else do it? I'm tired, jeez" Jax complained.
"Don't let them get away with the cash." He hung the call and Jax became really angry. He picked up his dark jacket and ascended the stairs to get his mask. Immediately Stacy opened the door to face Jason. she noticed he was already dressed to leave somewhere.
"Where are you going? She asked perplexed. "You ain't leaving me only here. A...re you? She stuttered
Jason stared at her dumbstruck and moved inside his room as Stacy followed him suit.
"Don't leave me here, please. I can't stay here all alone" she whined
Jason wasn't listening to her whines, he was desperately searching for his mask, being all frustrated he forgot he kept it in his drawer.
Stacy moved to his bed and sat down with her hands crossed over her chest. She was on the verge of crying, praying earnestly that he doesn't leave her here all alone
*In this dark, deserted... She was cut off from her thoughts when she saw Jason pulling out his mask. "Oh no, don't tell me..." She said shocked
"Yes" he replied quickly
"But why? You mustn't do it, must you? Please don't go" she begged.
"You do not know anything about me so stay off my tracks" he yelled
"I should stay off? If you wanted nobody to interfere in your "business" she stressed the "business" with an air quote.
"Then you shouldn't have brought me here in the first place" she concluded.
Jason turned to take a good look at her. She was right, I brought her here. How do I expect her to mind her business? He thought.
"Jason" she countered sweetly this time. "Stay with me, I don't want you to go. You said I don't know anything about you what if I want to know like right now?"
He stood there dumbstruck not knowing what to say. He doesn't want to go obviously but he has to go. There's no option left to pick.
"See you later" he muttered and made to leave. Stacy stood and moved closer to him
"Please" she said lowly.
Jason gritted his teeth" you will be safe, I'll turn on the safe mode while I leave. Nobody's gonna break in." He assured.
"It's true, I want you to stay with me cause I'm scared but I really care for you, for your SAFETY" she said sincerely.
A memory flashed in his mind:
"You don't have to partner with anyone. People can be mischievous and dreadful. I'm scared, I really care for you, for your safety" Rose said with teary eyes, staring at Jason.
Jason moved closer to her and hugged her tightly. "I won't partner with anyone. Didn't I tell you I want to drop all these criminal stuff, let alone partner with a deadly man and work for him. You know I can't possibly work for anyone."
Rose smiled and hugged him more as the two began beaming with smiles.
"Thats why, I see, she reminds me alot about you" he muttered inaudibly and moved out.
