C4 Chapter 4

Alan drop the cigarette in a small plate on the table and took another one. Being the heir of the Clinton empire,a lot of girls has approached him but only Vienna has left an impression on him. Back then, she tried everything possible to get his attention and she obviously did, she was the only woman he had paid attention to but then he also find out that she is just like other girls and not what he thought she is so he discard her back then and didn’t spare her father for his deed but after she left, he realized that she has stolen his heart and he keep thinking about her till the point that he could no longer bear it and try to discard his feelings by burying himself into work. Much later, after he lost his sight and his grandfather keep insisting for he to get back with her probably because he thought that no other girl will want to marry a blind man but he decide to forget the past and trap her to himself.

After gathering a little amount of money from Nisan’s family, Vienna and her sister with Nisan came to the city and they admit their mother in the city hospital and stay at a bedroom flat that is lent to them by one of their uncle. After arriving and settling down, it remains just a week and two days before the day for the operation limit for her mother. Vienna decide to go out and look for a menial job to get some money. Since she drop out of school and couldn't get her university certificate, there is a limit to the kind of work she can get with her high school certificate. She step out of the house to take a bus to go check if she can get some assistant from their other family members before going to check the place introduced to her by Nisan. Getting on the bus, she sat down beside a man with a newspaper in his head. She push her neck forward to look out of curiosity and she saw Alan and Karen picture on the front page. Since she left the city to the countryside, she hasn’t heard anything about him at all. She try to lean in more out of curiosity. The man raise his head and pass the newspaper to her. Vienna thank him and took it. She was shocked at what she saw.

“it has been revealed that the CEO of KK foods, due to the accident that happened to him four months ago has been confirmed blind and will be unable to continue running the affairs of the company for now….. The assistant CEO, Mr Karen has been announced to take over the running of the business….and also the stocks of the company has been stabilized after Mr Karen took over” Vienna read the news all over again. Even though she has thought of ways for karma to get back at him and Benita, she could never imagine that he will one day become blind. She open the next page to read more and there she find out that Karen is together with Benita and she was more shocked.

“Karen and Benita?” she exclaim loudly and quickly cover her mouth and apologize to those on the bus.

“how come Benita and Karen is now together? She never noticed anything between them when she was still with them and also, didn’t she see Benita with Alan? If they were not together then why will they be close with each other that evening?” she thought confused.

“wait a minute, Karen is now acting as the CEO and also took Benita from Alan” she said trying to analysis the situation. Now she get it.

“this must be Karen plan from the beginning. He has always wants everything that belongs to Alan. Back then when they were still in school, he once threatened her that he will take everything that belongs to Alan including her just because she chose Alan over him” Vienna shook her head has she thinks about it.

“i shouldn't be concerned like this. It is no longer my business” she thought and return the newspaper But she still feels concerned.

“what if Karen and Benita are trying to harm Alan? It cant be a coincidence that shortly after he becomes blind they announced they are together? Or did Benita cheat on Alan with Karen so they decide to make him blind through an accident because he caught them?” different thought run through her head as she alighted from the bus. Then she went to three of her uncles and aunts who she was very familiar with to ask for help but none of them even agreed to meet with her. They all send her out calling her the daughter of a criminal. Vienna was not surprised at their attitude at all. Back when her parent were still rich, they are the ones who always come by to their house for help but now they see her as the daughter of a criminal. She blink her eyes to avoid any tears from falling as she made her way to a small shop to get some buns to eat. Because she was saving money she has not eaten anything for two days now but she couldn’t bear it anymore. She drag her tired body to the shop and could only get two buns. She quickly eat them and wipe her mouth. She check the time and it remains just ten minutes to the time given to her by the person who contacted her for a job interview. She starts to run so she can get there on time, She ran as fast as she could but she was still three minutes late
