C9 Chapter 9

The both of them entered another living room and sat down. Very soon Williams, Sasha and grandfather joined them.

“Vienna dear, how have you been? I heard Alan already help take care of your mother’s hospital bills” grandfather started.

“good I guess” she replied timidly and look around for any sight of Alan’s sister but it seems she is not invited.

“am sure you know why I want to see you. About your wedding” grandfather started. Alan remain silent and signal to Vienna to talk.

“hmm I think we shouldn't rush this whole wedding stuff. Actually am thinking that since I’ve been in the countryside for a while now then I will need a bit of time to adjust to some things and also to familiarize with the company so…am suggesting that we let that wait till after sometimes” she answered.

“you can equally familiarize yourself even after getting married. Also you need to fully become part of the Clinton” Williams said not agreeing with her excuse.

“what I actually mean is that, I want to wait until my mother is finally recovered before taking such a huge step” she said quickly finding another excuse.

“so for how long?”

“three months?” she answered.

“will your mother take three month to recover? Or you don’t want to get married at all but still benefit from us” Sasha cut in.

“no is not like that at all” Vienna tried to explain but she cut her off.

“then how is it? tell me. You want to use our fame and money but you don’t want to get married do you?”

“mum, that is enough okay” Alan said to stop his mother.

“one month, I agree with one month only. For your mother to get back in good shape it won't take more than one month. Except there is another reason you want it like that” grandfather said.

“what other reason is there?” Alan asked getting irritated. He had thought that her mother excuse will work.

“i know you very well Alan and I won't let you fool me twice. If you don’t want to get married until after three months then there must be a reason. I don’t believe this is her idea” Alan saw that the old man was catching fast on him and thought of what to say. He gently hold Vienna’s hand and said with a smile.

“actually we are thinking of pregnancy before marriage” he said. Vienna retract her hand from his hold instantly but he held her back firmly not giving her any chance at all.

“what?” both of his parent said together.

“Alan what nonsense are you talking? What pregnancy before marriage? I will never allow it” Sasha rejects instantly. Vienna was also shocked like them.

“pregnancy? This was clearly not written in the contract” she thought half sacred.

“so you want her to get pregnant first before getting married” grandfather responded. Alan shake his head to indicate yes.

“and Vienna also agrees with this?” he asked and turn to her. Vienna answered with a silent yes.

“then no problem, but only on one condition. The both of you will have to live in the same house, in the same room and on the same bed”

“what!” Vienna find herself shouting out loudly.

“why are you so surprised? How else do you plan to get pregnant faster than that?”

“no problem” Alan answered and Vienna turn to him

“did he just say no problem, of course there is problem. How will she stay in the same room with him and on the same bed” she muttered but he ignores her

“since you both agree on this then why don’t you both stay over here tonight, you can start taking care of that part from today” he added. Alan remain silent for few seconds before replying.

“if there is nothing else then we will leave now” he said and pull Vienna up with him then they went into the house and one of the servant lead them to their room.

“Williams, are you going to allow this? How can you support pregnancy outside marriage” Sasha said not satisfied.

“its not something strange and if that’s what they want then so be it” he replied. Sasha was furious.

“if that happens then everything I’ve planned will go down the drain. No I can't let this happen she mustn't get pregnant” Sasha said in her head. Although she loves to have a grandchild fast but not from the daughter of someone like Miner.

Vienna wait for them to enter the room and let the servant leave before she talks.

“Mr Alan, this is not part of our agreement at all” she said immediately the person who bought them in left. Alan turn to her and walk slowly towards her.

“have you forgotten that you put your signature on a paper, you didn’t read it do you? Its says you will do anything asked of you no matter what it is” he said.

“What?” then Vienna remembered that she did not even check the content of the paper before signing it. But still she will never give herself up to him like that.

“i don’t care what’s in it but am not going to sleep with you” she said sternly.

“you are overestimating yourself. Even if you force yourself on me, I will never touch you” he said and turn away from her trying to walk to the bed with a little difficulty. Vienna sigh in relieve.

“so he just lied to his grandfather” she thought.

“but what does he mean by even if she forces herself on him? What does he take himself for?” she thought pissed off and watch him struggle with finding the way without helping him. She decide to sit down on the chair to catch some sleep first. She heard him on the phone but didn’t care less she rest her hand on her hand and close her eyes but the opening of the door cause her to open her eyes and she saw Kellie entered. She walk up to Alan and he told her some things then she came up to her.

“Miss Vienna, this is a copy of what you signed” she said and stretch it to her. Vienna collect it with a yawn and drop it on the table before closing her tired eyes to sleep again.

Vienna woke up when it was already dark. She saw that she is on the bed instead of the chair as she remembered, She stood up and wore a slipper she saw beside the bed.

She look at the time on her phone and it was almost seven in the evening. She quickly text Vanessa to explain to her. Vanessa text back immediately that she is with Nisan and there is no need for her to worry.

Vienna look around the room but there is no sign of Alan anywhere in the room then she notice the paper left on the table still there. She pick it up to read.

“This is not happening” she exclaimed as she read the content.

“this is just like a personal assistant job and not a fiancee. She really have to do all this” Vienna drop the paper and open the door to go outside. She saw Alan also about to open the door.

“Vienna?” he asked to be sure and also touch her hand to confirm.

“its time for dinner” he informed her and turn to leave. Alan start taking his step little by little till he mistakenly turn to the wrong side. Vienna quickly went over to his side to help him.

Since they’ve been together he always walk well so she thought he must know his way very well but it appears not or maybe because he is not familiar with this place.

She held his hand and lead him back to the right way. They arrive at the dinning and Vienna find out that Karen and Benita also stayed behind like them. She help Alan to a seat and sat next to him.
