C5 FIVE

When I looked out the window, I saw Leon and Kelvin walking together. It looked like they were arguing about something.

"Yes, that guy over there is the one I need," I said, and the man's jaw almost dropped.

"Uhmm…. Uhm…. I'll…. I'll talk to him. He's a very special guard, you see. Well, he only watches over people he likes, and no one can make him." He told a lie. He couldn't say who that man was because he was his President.

He went up to Leon and said something in his ear. He makes a sad face.

"Tell them I'm not interested. You're doing a good job, sir." He said, and he started to leave. When I saw this, Ruth and I ran towards him.

"Hey, hey, hold on." I finally caught up with him.

He asked, "What was it again?"

"Please, can you protect me?!" I asked.

"No!" He said he was about to leave again, but I stopped him.

"Please, I'll do anything to get your attention... All I want is your help." I said.

"This building has 946 men in it. Go pick one." He said.

"But out of the 900 Men, I only want you," I said. He looked at me with his beautiful eyes.

Kelvin told him, "Bro, don't miss this chance."

"Sorry, miss, but I can't watch over you." He said and walk away.

"And he looks so good." I sobbed.

"You're crazy. Are you looking for a guard or a husband? don't tell me. You're….."

"I just like him a little, that's all. Let's go," I said.

It was a new week, and today we were going to start shooting. When I moved to the back, I felt like a loser. Each actor and actress had a makeup artist, but Ruth was my all-around favourite. Ruth and I had just sat down when Jolene walked up to us. We had just talked briefly with the director.

"Hi, newbie!" She told him "Oh, Ruth, you must be her boss. I know a lot about you...." Just like everyone else, Jolene wanted to win Ruth's heart, but Ruth only smiled and nodded at her.

"Jolene, I hope we both do a great job," I said, putting out my hand for a handshake. She looked at me with disgust.

"I don't usually work with newbies like you, but I have to... Gem, you should know your place and stay away." She spoke.

In the first scene, we began to act. Jolene was the first one to act, and I have to say she was good. When it was my turn, the director called me over and told me what my role was. I nodded.

"Move!" yelled the manager.

The scene was when I first saw the male lead, saved his life, and fell instantly in love with him.

"Thanks, young lady, for saving me.

I'm grateful, "He said while looking right into my eyes, but I looked away and lowered my head out of shyness.

I told her, "It's nothing."

"My name is Yona. What's yours?" He did so.

"My name is Yona, and I also want to be called Yona," I said shyly, like a child of 12. The director liked my performance. In the next scene, I had to go home and hit my younger sister Jolene because she told me she loves Yona.

"Senior sister."

"Shut up, you skank! I'll kill you! I'll cook with your flesh!" I told her, then bit her hands... She yelled out in pain. I slapped her and said, "You taste good, junior sister." The fake slap was meant to be real, but I made it real. The director was very happy with what we had done so far.

I grabbed Jolene by her neck.

"Since you were born, you have taken my parents' love away from me. You are a curse. A worthless pig... I could cook you up and eat you any time. You are my meat, my meal, my tasty sister." I shouted as we both looked at each other.

"Cut!" yelled the director.

"Bravo, bravo… Miss Gem Wow, you're really cool." He started complimenting me, but he forgot about Jolene, the main character. I was happy because everyone liked me.

"How you handled it.

I never wanted it to stop. you did splendidly dear."

We took a break, and when we came back, I was the only one in the theatre room. Everything was set up before we left.

Jolene's things were messed with later.

"Miss Gem, did you mess with our goddess's stuff just because she said you were a newbie?" People who liked Jolene said.

"You mean what?" As her bodyguard grabbed me, I asked. "Let go, don't touch me!" I shouted, "I didn't do anything, let me go!"

"Oh, you did. If you had a guard, they could have kept you safe." She spoke.

"What the heck is going on?!" Ruth yelled.

Then Jolene came in with the director acting like she was crying.

"How could you, Miss Gem? I'm so disappointed." He said.

"I didn't do it. I swear, director, I'm not like that. Maybe Jolene is trying to trick me."

Pah! The manager of Jolene hit me on the cheeks.

"You have the nerve to say that a goddess stole? you brat! "she shouted. From nowhere, a punch hit the bodyguard and went on to hit the other one.

"Miss, you okay? I'm late, sorry!" He said. I looked up in surprise.

Leon did it.

"Who do you think you are?" Jolene's manager yelled.

"I'm Leon, MYM Industry asked me to watch over Miss Gem." He said it, and it really opened my eyes.

Body… what? I was confused.

"Miss Gem, sorry I'm late… did anyone bully you?" He asked.

Everyone was shocked.

How could a handsome man who was fit to be a model or an idol be standing here as a bodyguard?
