C7 Dinner with Ryan

After a few minutes Ryan was at their doorstep with a bottle of expensive wine in hand. Mitchell was the one who opened the door for him as Diana was serving food for him. At the doorstep, Mitchell made sure to be loud enough for Diana to heard her

"Hey handsome, that was fast" she said

"Well, I was still around the neighborhood getting ready to head home and stuff like that. But since Diana invited me here, I thought it wouldn't be bad if I accepted the invitation" Ryan said as he handed her the glass of wine.

"My oh my. Boy you got taste. Where did you get this fine glass?" Mitchell asked as she walked him into the small dinning room.

"I just dropped by a liquor store and asked for one of their finest and vintage wine." Ryan responded as Diana welcomed him into the room with a hug. Despite it being evening, she noticed that his cologne was still strong and he still smelled fresh like he was straight from the shower. A bonus to her. He was still wearing the black suit which lacked the coat that he had in the morning.

"Well then, have a seat and I hope you'll enjoy the food." Diana said as they all settled to eat. During the meal, they got to know more about each other as they engaged in some small talk. They had some jokes here and there until it reached a point where the were no longer acquittances around the table but people who actually knew a bit more of each other. By the time the food was cleared, Mitchel cleared the table with the help of Ryan who helped despite being asked not to by both girls. After everything was put away, it was finally time to open the bottle of wine. They all toasted to Diana's achievement of getting the job even though she didn't know that she was sitting next to her boss this entire time. Ryan actually felt good when he looked at the excitement on her face and that of Mitchel's since Mitchell acknowledged that the job would help both of them financially improve their life.

Ryan's P.O.V

I never knew how much it meant to some people just to work in my company. Not just because of the salary and the other employee benefits, but just the acknowledgement that someone worked there made a big impact on some people's lives. I could see it in both Mitchel and Diana. The night was dragging on faster and I knew that the wine I had brought would be the perfect icing on the cake. I watched as Mitchel pour three glasses of wine for us as we watched tv. Their house was not that big but it was cosy. I was seated in one of the couches with Diana next to me while Mitchell opted to sit on the floor. I was on one end of the couch when Diana came really close to me and leaned on my shoulder as we all enjoyed the movie. Time was flying fast and before I knew it, it as nearly around eleven. By now, I had take around two glasses of wine and so had Diana but as for Mitchel who seemed to be enjoying the wine more than us was gulping down her fourth one if I'm not wrong. By now she was a bit tipsy and just got up and waved me goodbye before retiring to bed. The wine wasn't that strong but it had it effects if one had one too many. For me, two was enough. That was just the right amount for me to easen up but not enough make me have a problem with my decisions. We were just the two of us in the room. By now, I was seated upright with Diana's head on my lap as she lay stretched out on the couch. She was covered up from the cold. I tried my best not to do anything stupid since this was the first time spending time with her and even though I could tell she was already getting comfortable around me, I wouldn't mind if she didn't want me to stay. After the movie she turned and look at me with her beautiful emerald green eyes. I could almost tell what she wanted to say but I let her do it herself.

"So, it's nearly midnight. Do you plan on leaving?" She asked

In my head I answered her question with the many different possible ways that she was asking and how she would react to them. I didn't know if she wanted me to stay. Because if I said I wanted to stay and maybe she didn't want me to, it would be awkward. And if she wanted me to stay and I said I was just about to leave, that would be like an invitation rejected from a girl. Get this, it's not as if I wanted to stay over for anything to happen between us, I just didn't want to go to my place since I felt lonely and bored there. It has been a while since I had actually spent some time like this enjoying myself with people. And no, not every billionaire has a whole group of rich billionaire friends who they hang out with. Being an introvert really had it's effect on my social life but also I always wanted to hang around people who had genuine interest in knowing me for who I really am. And just to answer Diana's question, I went with the double sided blade technique.

"I guess, or do you have any ideas?" I asked. This method was where I implied that I could leave if she didn't want me to stay but then again I introduced the factor where I brought her into the mix where she herself could give me a reason not to leave.

"If you're work schedule isn't that full, you could stay for the night and head out in the morning" she answered me
