C2 Chapter 1: The Beginning

My name is Miyamoto Riku, I am a 19 years old college student. School is cancelled because of a virus that is spreading across the world but luckily, my part time job in a local supermarket is open until the news have announced that there's a storm coming. I don't think there's going to be worse than this? ...Or maybe there is.

May 15, 2020; 5 P.M., I'm lying on my bed with no internet connection and no tv signal because of the storm surging through town, but then suddenly...

*BOOM!!!*

"What the hell?!" I yelled out after a blinding light pierced through the window of my room. "It's coming from the backyard!"

First thing that came into my mind was lightning but I doubt it.

Me being worried that someone is hurt, I rushed downstairs to pick up my raincoat that's hanging on the coat rack. I open the door to my backyard; but I was met by a strong wind that almost blew me back.

As I went to my backyard, I was surprised to see an unconscious naked girl lying in the middle of my flower field.

Water from the puddles splashed around as I run towards the girl.

"Where did she come from?! Is she even alive?!" I said to myself.

I put two fingers in her neck and I was relieved when she has a pulse, however it is weak.

"I'd better get her inside the house and have her clean up."

Suddenly, the thunder roared as the wind increased its pace. I quickly lifted her and hurriedly carried her back inside the house.

As I carefully enter the door way, I noticed her elegant white smooth skin despite all the dirt and mud that are sticking to her. Her hair is long and red like a beautiful blazing flame while two black ribbons tying it into a twin-tail.

I lay her on the couch, pick up a clean towel, and use it to wipe away all the muck that's sticking on her skin. While doing so, she suddenly mumbled something.

"B-Big brother? Is that y-you?" she stuttered; her eyes are still close.

"Everything is gonna be ok, you're safe now." I said to her and massage her head gently.

I don't know if she can hear me, but it seems to calm her down a bit.

After cleaning her up, I put a blanket over her to cover her naked body before sitting on a chair that's facing her direction.

"First there was a bright light outside my window and now a naked girl. Man! talk about 2020 getting weirder and weirder every month!" I blurted out in while scratching the back of my head.

As my mind was racing, I jumped out of my seat by the sound of a thunder clap.

"Never been a fan of thunder jeez!" I exclaimed, turning my gaze towards the window.

"Looks like the storm isn't going to calm down soon, I'd better find some clothes for her before she wakes up".

I went upstairs in my room and check my lockers to pick up some clothes for her.

"I still don't get it, why does a girl just appear out of nowhere and where did she even come from anyway?!"

My mind came racing again until I was disturbed by a tiny cute voice coming from downstairs.

"Shido?! Girls?! Is anybody there?!"

I hurriedly head back down the living room only to be hit by a flying pillow in the face by the entrance.

"W-Who are you?! where am I?! and why am I naked?! What have you done to me you pervert?!" She screamed, covering herself with the blanket.

"No wait! Let me explain!" I immediately shouted back.

"I didn't do anything to you, I found you lying unconscious in my backyard so I pick you up and bring you here inside my house, see?!"

Her eyes darted all over the place. She glared at me when I took a one step closer to her.

"Here, I pick up some clean clothes for you."

I handed over the clean clothes before stepping back slowly.

"You can use the bathroom, its right in front of the stairs." I pointed at the door near the stairs. "While you clean up, I'll be preparing some dinner for us. Meet me in the kitchen once you've finish."

She nodded before standing up groggily from the couch while covering herself with the blanket. You can hear her slow heavy footsteps while she heads towards the bathroom.

"Want me to help you?"

"What? So you can enjoy watching me bathe? Pervert!" she said in disgust.

"I-I meant to help you walk to the bathroom!" I defended myself.

"I can do it by myself!" She glared at me.

I sighed and head to the kitchen to make some dinner. I'm cooking some rice using the rice cooker before preparing the fried tofu.

"I hope she like this kind of food, I didn't get my salary because of this sudden storm." I mumbled.

A few minutes later, there's a sound of a creaking floor behind me and when I turn around, I saw the girl all cleaned up and fresh. I couldn't help myself but stare at her awkwardly.

"Man, she's beautiful!"

"Why are you staring at me like that pervert?" She glared at me.

"O-Oh sorry! I just, hehehe!" I blushed and quickly turning away.

"What? you never seen a beautiful girl before?" She grinned, crossing her arms.

I blush furiously, feeling the heat cooking up my face.

"I'm just teasing you." She chuckled.

"I feel like she could read my mind but I think that's impossible, I mean it's not like she has a telepathic power or something. But then again, she did appeared out of nowhere." I said to myself, realizing I should be more careful around her.

"What are you cooking?" She asked.

"I'm cooking fried tofu, how about you sit there at the table so you could get some rest, dinner is almost ready." I said to her while pointing at the dining table.

The rice and tofu are finish, I prepared them in two plates before giving the other one to her.

"I'm sorry that dinner's tonight sucks, I didn't get my salary today." I said sheepishly.

"Don't worry about it, I'm not the kind of girl who likes fancy stuff, and I already cause you enough trouble for taking care of me." she said while avoiding eye contact.

"It's ok, I couldn't just leave you out there, and also you should try making yourself more at home." I reassured her and gave her a comforting smile.

"Thank you and I owe you." she said and blushed when her tummy starts to grumble.

"Maybe that's the sign that we need to start eating." I chuckled.

"Well then, let's dig in... Itadakimasu!" she said before digging in.

"So simple yet so delicious!" she said happily and loudly.

I smiled at her. She looks at me and start blushing.

"Ehem! I'm sorry where are my manners" she said shyly.

"Like I said make yourself at home, you need to recover your strength though." I reassured her.

"By the way you can call me Riku, what's your name?" I asked.

She smiled and said "My name is Kotori Itsuka, it's nice to meet you Riku."
