C4 Chapter 3: Home Alone

Kotori's POV:

"See you later Kotori!"

"Take care!" I replied and waved back goodbye.

2 hours later ~

"I'm so booooooored!"

There is nothing to watch on T.V cause the Japanese game show just finished airing earlier. So, I'm lying here all alone in the couch trying to figure out how to survive this boring day.

"Hmmm, maybe I can use Riku's laptop to browse the internet to learn the history of this world, he did say I can use it."

I went upstairs to Riku's room and when I open the door it felt like a war just broke out inside.

"Unbelievable! Does he ever clean his room?!"

My eyes widen and mouth agape, his room looks like it got hit by a spatial quake. I shake my head and start to go through all of his clothes.

"Where is it?! Oh I hope I don't find something weird in here."

I look and look but it feels like it's impossible to find it with all this mess lying around. Suddenly, my right hand got a hold of something that shapes like a laptop.

"Aha! found you!"

But what I've found is out of my expectation. I blushed furiously from the lewd magazine that I'm holding.

"Ack! W-W-What the HELL IS THIS?!!!" I screamed in panic.

The magazine went flying across the room and it hit the clock that's hanging on the wall. My face heats up and I just wanted to bury my face in the pillow.

But I couldn't let that distract me, I need to find that laptop or else this boredom will kill me.

Once again, I resume searching for his laptop and it starting to feel like a treasure hunt except for the fact that I'm cautious now because I just found out that there are things in here that I should avoid.

"I swear if I ever find some of those things again, I will turn it into ashes!"

I was getting very frustrated with all this pile of junk lying around until...

"Finally! I found you!" I sighed in relief and I run back downstairs and jump on the couch.

I turned on Riku's laptop and right clicked on google chrome and the last thing I knew the living room gets filled with the sound of a moaning girl accompanied by a slapping sound.

"..?!"

My mind went blank, my mouth went dry, and my face turns into a deep shade of red from the scene that's playing on the screen.

I quickly got a hold of myself and I'm trying to exit the website, but thankfully the laptop turned off all by itself because of the low battery.

"That pervert! When he gets home, I will rip him to shred!" I bury my face in the pillow and screamed.

After I relax, I feel drowsy. I slowly begin to lose consciousness until everything turns to black.

6:15pm ~

"Augh... What? Did I just fell asleep?"

"Riku?! Are you home yet?!"

No one answered.

I look at the clock and I notice that I overslept.

"Where is he? It's almost dinner and he's not home yet".

I look around the living room and found a bento box with a letter.

Kotori I'm sorry I forgot to make lunch before going to work, so I went home and made you one. Enjoy your lunch after you've woke up.

"Aww, how sweet of him"

I smiled warmly at his message and blushed a little.

"It's almost dinner, I should just wait for him to come home"

*Grumble! *

I hold my tummy and chuckled.

"Maybe eating a little wouldn't hurt"

I open the bento box and there's a sausage octopus, some vegetables, and fried fish fillet. My mouth watered at the food inside, I quickly start to dig in. After I put the sausage octopus inside my mouth, it feels like I'm in heaven.

"Oishii!"

After eating, I took the bento to the kitchen to clean it up. The warm water runs down from the faucet to my hands.

"This is so relaxing." I sighed.

Suddenly, something clicks inside my mind.

"Maybe when he gets home, I should ask him to take me out to town sometimes."

I'm very curious about this world, Riku only told me that spirits don't exist here and there is no AST waiting around to blast you with a missile. But he also said that this world is as dangerous as my world or more.

After cleaning up the bento box, I went upstairs to my room to get some clothes.

"A good shower will be pleasing." I said to myself.

I head back downstairs and to the bathroom. The door creaked open as I entered.

I closed the door behind me and start to strip all of my clothes. But then, I heard the door behind me opened. When I look behind me, I saw Riku staring at me with wide eyes.

"...?!"

"I-I'm so sorry!!!"

I glared daggers at him.

"Are you ready pervert?!"

"No! Wait this is just a mi-misunderstanding!!!"

"Grrr!!!"

*SMACK!!!*

Riku's POV:

"Finally, I'm home I hope Kotori's doing ok."

I step in front of the door and open it.

"Hey Kotori I'm home!" I called out.

I went to the living room hoping to find Kotori sleeping or sitting in the couch watching T.V but there is no one there except for my laptop.

"Huh? Where could she be?" I said to myself.

"It's so quiet, maybe she's sleeping already I should wake her up after I finished cooking dinner but first, I need to take care of the groceries that I bought". I said to myself.

I went to the kitchen and organized the groceries in their rightful place. I noticed the bento box on a drying tray.

"Looks like she already ate her lunch that I made for her earlier, I'm glad she likes it."

I sniff my clothes that I'm wearing and it smells like smoke and sweat. I went upstairs to my room and was I greeted by a big pile of clothes lying on the floor.

"Surely Kotori saw this." I scratched the back of my head.

After getting some clean clothes, I headed back downstairs to the bathroom. The door creaked when I open it, and my eyes widened when me and Kotori met eye to eye with each other.

"...!?"

"I-I'm so sorry!!!"

I can feel her glaring eyes piercing through me.

"Are you ready pervert?!"

I felt sudden chills all around my body.

"No w-wait this is just a m-misunderstanding!!!"

"Grrr!!!"

*SMACK!!!*

The last thing I saw was a fist hitting me right in the face. My visions became dark as I drifted to the dream world.

I think we will skip dinner tonight...
