C8 Loy Krathong Festival
"Look out!" Daniel shouted. However, it was too late as a fast-running figure suddenly struck Emily's body, sending her flying with great force. However, with reflex speed, Daniel immediately grabbed Emily's body, holding her from falling hard.
In Daniel's arms, Emily felt a protective warmth. Daniel's racing heartbeat matched her own pounding heartbeat. Their eyes met, but a moment later they looked the other way. After that moment, they were back on their feet, but it was a little awkward.
"Thank you, sir," Emily said under her breath.
"Are you okay?" asked Emily in a worried voice, seeing Daniel trying to hold his body back from falling hard.
"Don't worry about me. Focus on the road," Daniel said.
Emily nodded, feeling ashamed of her carelessness.
When they arrived at the food stall, a friendly young lady greeted them in fluent Thai, leaving Emily and Daniel a little confused, as they couldn't understand what she was saying.
"I'm sorry, we don't understand Thai," Emily said politely, her face radiating confusion.
The lady seemed to understand and nodded, then kindly picked up the menu and pointed out some dishes available. Although they couldn't communicate with words, they used body language and smiles to interact.
Emily and Daniel picked out some delicious-looking dishes, just as she had instructed. After making their selections, they sat at the table while waiting for their orders to arrive.
When the dishes arrived at their table, the lady pointed at the two of them playfully and asked, "Couple?"
Emily felt her cheeks turn red from being teased by the lady. She smiled embarrassedly and shook her head firmly, "No, no. We're not a couple."
The lady smiled widely, understanding that they were just friends. But, a moment later, she gave a thumbs up and signaled that Emily and Daniel looked good for each other. Emily felt nervous at the lady's teasing. She smiled shyly and tried to keep her composure.
After finishing their meal, Emily and Daniel explored the ongoing Loy Krathong festival. They both rent a krathong, a small boat made of banana leaves and decorated with pretty flowers. Emily and Daniel decorated their own krathong. They added a small candle in the center of the boat, creating a soft glow that would illuminate its journey across the river.
When their krathong was released into the water, Emily and Daniel watched it float slowly, joining the other boats lighting up the river. The sound of laughter and cheers from the audience blended with the sparkling lights around them.
"It was quite exciting, sir," Emily said enthusiastically.
"Mmm," Daniel nodded in agreement.
They continued their walk along the riverbank, savoring every second of the Loy Krathong Festival. The euphoria of the festival crept into Emily, making her even more mesmerized. Without thinking, she quickly took out her cell phone from her bag and started capturing the beautiful moments at the Loy Krathong festival.
"Do you want me to take a picture too?" asked Emily with a gentle smile, drawing the attention of Daniel, who was looking around.
"I don't enjoy having my picture taken," Daniel replied briefly.
Emily nodded in understanding and continued to capture the beautiful moments around the festival on her phone.
"Aren't you ready to take photos yet?" asked Daniel, a little impatiently.
"I'm sorry, sir, but could you please take a picture of me?" pleaded Emily, pleading with a gentle gaze. Daniel massaged his furrowed mid-brow, slightly annoyed by Emily's request.
Daniel sighed for a moment before finally replying, "Come quickly!" He stepped closer to Emily and carefully picked up her cell phone, aiming the camera at her.
"Here," Daniel said as he handed Emily back her cell phone.
However, when Emily saw the photo, her face looked blurry. At once, a disappointed expression appeared on Emily's face.
Emily looked at Daniel with a hopeful gaze. "I'm sorry, sir, but can you take another photo of me? It's blurry," she said pleadingly.
"This is for the last time," Daniel said with an annoyed expression on his face.
This time, Daniel tried to find the right angle and set the lighting more carefully. Daniel held the phone steady and aimed the camera at Emily, who was smiling cheerfully.
Daniel returned to Emily's cell phone. After Emily was satisfied with the photo, she smiled. "Thank you, sir."
In the silence that was created, Emily and Daniel stared at each other with an indescribable intensity. Their eyes were locked together, as if there was an unspoken language between them. But a few moments later, they turned their gaze in another direction.
After finishing their photo session, they continued their journey and stopped to see a traditional dance performance. The traditional dance performance hypnotized them with its graceful movements and meaningful choreography. Emily and Daniel stood in the crowd. As the melodic music echoed through the air, they savored the moment.
When Emily saw Daniel was not looking at her, she secretly captured the moment quickly. Her hand trembled slightly as she pressed the camera button, trying to capture the beauty of the moment. When she got Daniel's picture, she smiled with satisfaction when she saw the result.
"He is indeed very handsome despite being so cold," Emily muttered under her breath.
After the show, Emily, who usually looked stiff, turned into a lively person, as if her enthusiasm had not sapped in her energy. Emily moved around quickly, slipping between the crowds, and couldn't wait to explore every corner of the festival. Her cheerful smile lit up the night, and her eyes sparkled.
Daniel kept a casual demeanor. He followed Emily's steps casually, looking around. His demeanor seemed calm and not so affected by the bubbling excitement around him. When Emily stopped to watch another show, she didn't realize that Daniel had fallen behind.
Emily looked around quickly, searching for Daniel's sudden disappearance. Her heart rustled anxiously as she realized she had lost Daniel in the festival's crowd. She called out in alarm. "Mr. Daniel!"
Her gaze darted around, searching for Daniel among the increasingly dense crowd. However, none of the faces she saw were familiar. Emily felt panic rising inside her, and her hands began shook. "Mr. Daniell!" Emily shouted to be heard over the crowd, but her voice was drowned out in the hustle and bustle of the festival. Cold sweat broke out on her forehead, and she felt like she didn't know what to do.
In a mounting panic, Emily continued to search for Daniel along the festival aisles, hoping to find him soon.
She couldn't hide the panic within her. Trying to search, including asking people who, of course, did not know Daniel at all, Emily did not get a satisfactory answer.
Daniel checked every corner of the festival, hoping to find Emily. However, the crowds and crowds of people made the search difficult. He tried to call Emily to confirm her whereabouts, but the roar of the crowd drowned out the sound of his phone. Emily was also unaware of the incoming call.
As his efforts to find Emily became increasingly futile, Daniel's anxiety grew.
"Emily! Emily!" Daniel shouted, trying to break through the noise.
However, his voice seemed to be drowned out by the bustle of the festival. He moved in the opposite direction to the flow of people, searching for Emily among the increasingly dense crowd. It would be a lie if he wasn't anxious.
Time was passing, and every second felt like a never-ending flashback. Amongst the noise and crowd, Daniel continued to search.
"Emily!" he shouted, but his voice was drowned out by the noise of the festival.
As the crowd grew larger, the footsteps sounded more and more clear in Daniel's ears. Daniel felt a tension fill his body, a violent trembling that was difficult to control. Cold sweat poured down his temples.
His body felt so weak that he fell to the floor. His mind was filled with intense fear and anxiety. He felt trapped in painful flashes of the past. His body trembled violently.
"Mom! Dad!" came little Daniel's voice, calling out to his parents in the crowd. The voice continued to fill his ears, reminding him of the deep loss. Little Daniel continued to cry and search for his parents.
"Mom! Dad! Where are you?"
The growing noise of the crowd triggered unforgettable flashes. Daniel tried to cover his ears, blocking out the voices that filled his mind.
When he looked down at his hands, he realized he was trembling. The guilt that was too heavy made his chest tight. He could feel the paralysis of his body, the fear that haunted every fiber in his being.
However, amidst the chaos of his thoughts, he heard a faint voice in the crowd. The longer it went on, the clearer the voice became.
"Mr. Daniel!"
