C15 Fifteen

I felt really bad for saying those things to Tracy, but I couldn't help myself, my ego couldn't take it, now all my ego earned me is an open offer to sign our divorce papers.

I was in a bad mood throughout and I avoided looking at Tracy, her swollen eyes were taunting me, it was very obvious she cried, she cried because of me, because of what I said to her, that fact disturbed me so much that I worked to the point of being overworked, even when Tracy left I didn't stop working, I only stopped when I felt my bones ache, my fingers refused to do any more work and I could barely keep my eyes open, that was when I stopped.

I managed to drive myself home and I got into my bed without undressing, I see no reason to because everything is gradually becoming meaningless.

The night was unfortunately cold as I slept with only thoughts of Tracy putting her hands around me, giving me her medicinal hug, it was a long and cold night.

I woke up very early the next morning, I did my routine and I left for work, Tracy wasn't there yet so I continued with the documents on my table even though my body was still aching from the work I did yesterday.

Tracy came in later and flinched when she saw me.

"What are you doing in here so early?" She asked but I didn't reply, she dropped the latte and the sandwich she was carrying in front of me and I looked up confused.

"Breakfast."

"Why?"

"I made a little too much for myself and my children so I decided to bring it to you so I won't have to dispose of it." She replied

"Thank you."

"Please excuse me." She said leaving my office.

I stared at the homemade sandwich and tears pooled in my eyes, it has been six long years since I've last tasted anything Tracy made, after the harsh things I said to her yesterday, she still decided to bring me breakfast.

I'm normally a stubborn cold-hearted person, but when it comes to Tracy and things that she does, I have a change of emotion, she is the only one who can control my emotion with things she does.

I didn't realize I was very hungry until I took a bite from the sandwich, the rest of the sandwich was gone in less than 5 minutes, I drank the latte and I got back to work, Tracy came in a few minutes after.

"You have another meeting with the company from yesterday, The manager requested some documents which you might have to go through before I take it to him, then you have to finish with the documents on your table, no rush, they are not urgent." She said and I nodded.

She turned to leave but I stopped her.

"Are you done with the client list?"

"Yes sir." She replied and I had to think fast for something I can make her do, I can't let her go out of my sight for too long.

"Check for the document the manager would be needing, go through it and tell me what needs to be signed or adjusted," I said and she nodded.

We both worked until it was time for the meeting, we sent to the conference room and the meeting commenced.

I couldn't concentrate because the CEO of the other company kept staring at Tracy, I could see she was not paying attention but the fact that he was staring at her made me want to seize him by his neck.

The meeting came to an end, that was the last meeting we would be having in my company, the next would be in their company, that didn't do anything to ease my worry, Tracy would be going with me to their company, there is no way I would be less worried.

As we left the conference room he made the call sign with his hand towards Tracy and she nodded, I felt really mad but there was nothing I could do about it, I felt like I've lost Tracy already.

Days went by, the relationship between me and Tracy never changed from the boss and employee relationship, she still bring me breakfast every morning but then I couldn't take her to lunch or dinner, neither could I offer her a ride, on days that she doesn't bring her car, Sam or her other man comes to pick her up.

I can confidently say Sam spend more time around my company than he spent in his company, he likes Tracy and he is making it very obvious, he showered her with gifts which I am not sure Tracy is comfortable with, but that doesn't seem to matter because he is going all the way out for her.

I tried to endure it, I tried to look away whenever they go for lunch, but I couldn't, that's why I decided to do something, I waited until Tracy left to spend her lunch break with Sam then I called Tony.

"Sir?"

"Tony, cancel the meeting I have with the sales team, tell them to pick another date."

"Should I tell Tracy to do that sir?"

"No, you do that."

"Okay, sir."

"One more thing."

"Sir?"

"I'd share you a location now, send it to Tracy, tell her to meet me there, she's on her lunch break now so send it to her a little bit later."

"Okay, sir."

I hung up and packed my briefcase, I drove to the sprinklers and I bought Tracy's favorite ice cream, it is my favorite too, Chocolate ice cream with chocolate toppings has always been a legend.

When I got home I informed the security guard that Tracy would be coming and told them to let her inside, the door was not locked so I told them to tell her to come in without ringing the doorbell.

I freshened up and laid on the sofa waiting for Tracy to come, mission gets my wife back at all cost is fully in motion.
