C19 Never Say Never

They stared at each other while Charlotte and Jay watched them. "How do you expect me to prove it?" Chase Woon asked her in a soft voice.

"I will be in my room." Riele stood up and was about to leave but Chae Woon caught her by her wrist.

"If you aren't a coward, tell me."

Riele jerked her hand away from his. "I don't care if you know about love or not all I know is you are nothing but a..." before she could go further, Chae Woon pulled her close and kissed her.

Jay and Charlotte opened their eyes in shock. No one expected that.

Chae Woon pulled away and when he noticed her shocked reaction he said, "It's obvious you haven't had your first kiss yet. I won't be surprised if you haven't dated anyone either."

"I hate you!" Riele yelled and ran to her room.

Chae Woon was satisfied with what he did, this would make her shut up for a while, he thought.

Jay didn't know if to feel angry or jealous but he wasn't happy with what he saw.

"Make sure she comes to work when she is fully okay and make sure to take enough rest as well." Chae Woon told Charlotte who was still shocked about the whole thing.

"Y...yes...sire." She stammered.

"Let's go, Jay."

"See you later," Jay told Charlotte who nodded and saw them off to the door.

Jay and Chae Woon got into the car and when Chae Woon started the engine and drove off, he noticed that Jay hasn't said a word.

"Why are you quiet?" he asked him.

Jay looked at him and asked, "Was that necessary?"

Chae Woon glanced at him before staring back at the road, "What do you mean?"

"You kissing her, was that necessary?" he asked again.

"I only did that to make her shut up and obviously, it worked." Chae Woon explained. He had no idea why Jay was worried about what he did. "Are you angry?" he asked but laughed at it. "It's not like you are interested in her or anything." he laughed again hoping for Jay to respond but his silence made him look at him. "Wait, you are into her?"

"I didn't say I am."

"Well, you ain't denying it either." Chae Woon told him. "You like her?"

"I don't know... I just like her company, that's all. Can we just concentrate on the road?"

Chae Woon looked at him before focusing on his driving.

Jay was damn angry and he had no idea why he couldn't tell Chae Woon he likes her. He hasn't had the chance to confess his feelings to Riele and now this happened, what was he going to do?

"In case you like her and I kissed her, I am sorry. I want you to know I have zero feelings for her. She ain't my type of girl and you know that, don't you?"

Jay looked at him but looked away immediately. "What is the feeling starts stirring up after this kiss?" he asked without looking at Chae Woon.

Chae Woon smiled. "It's not going to happen and even if it did, I am just going to ignore it."

"Promise??"

Chae Woon's pinky swore and that made Jay happy because he knew Chae Woon won't go back on his words.

Riele was on the bed trying to get rid of the incident that took place a few minutes ago. She had no idea Chae Woon would kiss her, if she knew he would do something like that, she wouldn't have said too much.

"You can come out now, they are gone." She heard Charlotte say.

"I don't want to come out."

"Fine, then I will come in." Before Riele could argue, Charlotte opened the door and entered the room. She saw Riele using the pillow to cover her face. She sat down next to her on the bed and got the pillow out of her face. "Are you embarrassed or flustered?" she asked. Riele looked up at her and Charlotte noticed her pinkish cheeks. "I see you must have been flustered with the kiss."

"That's not it." Riele retorted.

"So it's what?"

Riele sat down on the bed, she placed the pillow on her thighs and rested her elbows on it. "It's just that I am shocked that he would do something like that." She looks at Charlotte.

"You told him to prove he knows about love and he did."

"By kissing me?" Riele asked.

Whoo else did you expect him to kiss? Me?"

"I don't think I can face him at work tomorrow."

"Um, you are not allowed to go to work?"

"What?"

"He said you can come to work when you're okay."

"But I am ok."

"No, you are not. You still need to get enough rest before going back to work and so do I."

"Will our salaries be deducted?"

Charlotte looked at Riele wondering why she was thinking about her salary when her health is in jeopardy. "You can think of money in this state?"

"I don't trust our boss. If it was Mr. Owen, I won't be so bothered about my salary being cut short cause I was sick but Chae Woon? You have no idea what he is capable of."

"He said we can stay in this week and resume next week, he will be angry if we don't listen to him."

"Does he listen to us?"Riele asked. "I am going to work tomorrow to avoid stories that touch the heart someday in the future." She rested her back on her bed.

"Do you hate him that much?" Charlotte asked.

"Isn't it obvious?"

"It's your type that ends up falling in love with their tormentor and I am sure it will be the same with you."

Riele gave Charlotte a confused look, "What's that supposed to mean?" she asked.

"It means that one of you will end up falling in love with the other and I will be right here to watch that happen."

"It's never going to happen."

Charlotte stood up and went to the door. She turned one last time to look at Riele and she said, "Never say never sweetheart." she opened the door and left.

Riele stood up and went to view herself in the mirror. She ran her fingers on her lips as the memories of the kiss flashed back. She fantasized about it but when she found out she was going too deep, she shook her head to get rid of the thoughts and went back to bed. "I will never fall in love with him. That's a promise!" she told herself before going to sleep
