C2 No Woman Has Ever Dared To Touch Me!

Mu Tingxiao emphasized the word 'disabled', wanting to draw a reaction from the young woman. His perfectly arched eyebrows were raised, and his thin lips were set in a thin line. There was something about his voice that had sent shivers down her spine, and Moo Nuannuan found herself freezing. Who could've known that such a velvety voice could hold so much malice and provocation?

He deliberately took one step forward, and she staggered back. There was something about him that could send any man running for the hills, and as he drew closer, his cold aura became even stronger.

She moved to the side. Although she had doubted him at first, she believed in his words.

After all, Mu Tingxiao's villa wasn't a place where ordinary people could enter and exit. There was so much security in this place that it could even rival the White House! Her hands twitched by her sides as she gritted her teeth upon hearing his words. Although she hadn't met the man himself, she still didn't think it was proper to talk behind his back–especially with a family member.

"He's your cousin," she snapped. "Don't insult him like that."

Besides, she couldn't help but sympathize with the man.

The Mu family may have been one of the richest in the area, but Mu Tingxiao must've had a hard time over the years. With his scarred face and his disabled figure, the man must've been given a large burden to carry being the only heir to such a prestigious family. If there was something that she could relate with the mystery man, it's that they both lived hard lives–with him being worse off than her.

His eyes flashed in surprise. He certainly didn't expect for her to defend a cripple.

Not being able to help himself, Mu Tingxiao gazed at her features once again.

Her dark hair was incredibly messy, with stray strands falling over her face. Her bangs were so thick that they could rival her rimmed glasses, and the little skin that he did see were marred with what seemed to be small spots over yellow skin. She looked like she had suffered from a disease. Just the sight of her was enough to make him vomit. His eyes narrowed immediately.

He had heard rumors of how his fiancé would be as beautiful as a blooming rose, enough to rival the sun's glares. This was certainly not her.

However, the people of the Mu family couldn't care less whether the woman he'd marry was ugly or beautiful. As long as she was healthy and fertile, that was fine enough. Even if they had dragged a woman from across the streets, no one would bat an eyelid. Besides, it wasn't as if Mu Tingxiao had any plans of treating her as his wife. All he needed was a simple and quick transaction.

"There's no one else here," he stated, pushing her onto the bed. "You don't need to put on an act for him. In fact, I might even treat you far better than that cripple."

He was just about to extend his arms to hug her waist when she pulled back.

Slap!

Moo Nuannuan used all her strength to struggle out of his grip and slap him in the face. "Just because your cousin's the way he is doesn't mean everyone shares the same thoughts as you," she snarled. "Now, I'll give you one chance to leave this room, and I'll simply pretend that what happened in this room didn't happen. What do you say? Or would you prefer to be slapped again?"

Although she tried her best to remain calm and strong, her trembling hands still betrayed her true emotions. She clutched the sheets beneath her, and she let out a ragged breath. What the hell did she just witness?

On the way here, she had imagined how ugly Mu Tingxiao would've been, how scarred or how disabled he truly was. But honestly, she'd prefer that type of man than the sick pig right in front of her! Who was willing to insult their own family member in his own house? Her jaw clenched, and she forced herself to look up at him. 'You can do it, Nuannuan,' she encouraged herself. 'You got this.'

However, her encouraging voice faded to the back of her mind as soon as she met his chilly gaze. "No woman has ever dared touch me like you did."

"Consider this your first," Moo Nuannuan stuttered. She was trembling so much from the anxiety that her dark-framed glasses fell onto the mattress, revealing a pair of bright, clear eyes. Her long eyelashes framed them so perfectly, showcasing the nervousness and fear that lurked within the glassy colors. "D–Don't come any closer."

As soon as he saw her eyes, he stopped moving, and for some reason, his heart softened.

Not knowing what had gotten into him, he fixed his tie and glanced back at her. "If you insist, then you can wait for that cripple here."

Bang!

It was only when he had disappeared did she relax. What had she gotten herself into?

Outside the Room.

A bodyguard was about to approach the Master's Bedroom when he saw the red mark embedded across Mu Tingxiao's face. With his pale complexion, the mark was incredibly visible. Even a partially blind person would be able to spot it a mile away. It had taken him a few seconds to recover from his reverie. "Young Master...your face..." he trailed off, still blinking from surprise.

He touched his face. "I was hit by the door."

Could the door have five fingers?

However, the bodyguard didn't dare inquire anymore and handed over a folder. "This is Young Madame's personal information."

Mu Tingxiao opened the folder and saw the name scribbled on the top–Moo Nuannuan.

Interesting. The ugly woman was as cold as hell, yet her name meant warmth. The irony of it all.

Her birth mother was also very interesting. While she had pampered both her stepson and stepdaughter as if they were hers, she treated her own biological daughter like trash. Despicable.

As his gaze lowered, he frowned. "The document said she's intellectually challenged?"

The bodyguard nodded in confirmation. "Yes, Young Master."

"Check again."

Moo Nuannuan's words didn't appear slow or less alert than that of a normal person.

An intellectually disabled person wouldn't have reacted as fast as her, and she definitely wouldn't fling those types of words either way.

Throwing the folder back into the bodyguard's hands, his face darkened. "Don't come to find me unless you got the information I'm satisfied with," he said through gritted teeth. There was definitely something off about this entire thing, and he was determined to find out what.
