Christof POV

I then called out to Jared who is my bodyguard and my best friend. He gives me details of everyone, as he keeps a check on people who are related to my business, family, or relatives. He also keeps an eye on my employers and business partners, as you know that there are many back stabbers when it comes to business and money.

Jared is trustworthy and very loyal to me.

He was my childhood friend, who was by my side in every situation.

I can blindly trust him.

So I called Jared and asked him to give me every detail about this girl Addison Warner.

Where she stays, her family background

I wanted to know everything about this girl.

Jared said "yes sir you will get all her details within 24 hrs" saying this he left my cabin.

I took my seat and began to work on my laptop. I started to assign positions to every employee in my company according to their progress. But I left Addison's position on hold.

From the glass window I could see Addison, she was busy working on her computer, she looked tense. I couldn't stop staring at her, I cannot understand what is so special about this girl that I cannot let my eyes off her whenever i see her.

she was working on her computer without any breaks, she is looked dedicated towards her work, I like people when they are dedicated towards their work, and when they are hard working.

I am dedicated towards my work and I am hard working too, I would like my employers to do the same.

Addison POV

I was scared, my hands were trembling while he was calling each employee's name while turning the pages of their files.

I couldn't lose this job, I had a lot of responsibilities on my shoulders If I lose this job I'll not be able to find another one so soon and I needed the money for my household expenses. Soon Noel would be going to school. I needed to pay his fees too. I needed to pay the rent of my apartment, if I failed to do so I would be homeless. And finding another house is difficult. I had a lot of things going on in my head.

I could see that Anna was scared too, not only Anna, everyone present in the room was scared as no one wanted to lose their jobs. The entire room was silent and only our Ceo's voice echoed the entire room as he was scolding each one of them.

Anna also got a scolding from him.

Soon after he reached my file, he started to turn the pages of my file. I was very nervous. I felt like I would pass out at any moment but he didn't say anything. It took a long time for him to inspect my file compared to the others.

He then closed my file and started to introduce himself. He informed us that our positions would be changed and we would be getting our new ones in a week. He also made us scared by telling us that we could also lose our jobs. Saying that he left the room.

We all sighed with relief after he left the meeting room. All of the employee present in the meeting hall started to whisper things about him. Call him mean, rude, arrogant, and many other unpleasant words.

Anna was too angry with him. She grumbled and started to curse him.

"I have worked hard on this assignment, he could at least appreciate us for our hard work. Instead of removing faults in all of them, this man is a tough one, I wonder if he even smiles. His bodyguard is much better than him".

You are quite lucky he scolded everyone except you, I guess he was impressed by your work, so he didn't say anything to you.

I was just listening to her quietly as he didn't say anything to me.

It was now 5 pm. I had almost completed my work and was about to leave for home,

Jacob approached me and began to start a small chat with me, I was not interested in having any conversation with him as I was too tired and exhausted, I wanted to rest after reaching home.

"Hi Addison, I was thinking if you could have a cup of coffee with me?",he asked.

"Um, Jacob I am so sorry I am too tired today, could we have coffee together some other time?", I asked.

"Yeah it's totally fine if you want I could reach you home?"He asked.

"No it's totally fine!!", I replied.

"Please Addison, I pass the same street where you stay so I could drop you off",he insisted.

"Ok fine".

He opened the car door for me, before I entered the car I heard someone who called out my name.

When I turned behind it was our CEO.

He approached me and said, "I could drop you to the place where you stay", he said.

I couldn't say no as he was our boss, so I agreed and followed him towards the car.

Jared his guard opened the car door for me. I entered the car and took a seat beside Christof.

The journey was totally silent; we didn't speak a word, Christof was working on his laptop, and Jared was attending a phone call.

After half an hour I reached home.

I picked up my brother from my neighbor's house and began to change his clothes. He was telling me stories of how he made a new friend, how auntie Maddie made tasty pancakes for him. But I was not listening to him as there were so many things going on in my head. I soon took a shower. Made dinner, fed my brother, and put him to bed.

I started reading bedtime Stories for him like I usually do every night, he gave me a good night kiss and went to sleep.

I then got into my room and just prayed that the next day would bring something good to me.

I began to surf the net, checking new apartments as I had to leave this one.

I was checking for an apartment which had reasonable rent, as I had to fit all my expenses in my budget, if the house rent is too much my one month salary would go in paying the rent, and I wouldn't be able to save any money.

I got a call from Anna, who asked me if I reached home safely,I told her that I reached home safely, and today Christof gave me a ride.

We chatted a bit, I then disconnected the call and began to get ready to sleep, I brushed my teeth, prepared my bed, and fell on my bed thinking about tomorrow.

Christof POV

I finished my work and began to get ready to leave, that is when I saw an employee trying to give Addison a ride to her place.

I got furious,no one has the right to flirt with her.

She would be my future wife, I would not tolerate anyone coming close to my fiancee or try to flirt with her.

I called out to Addison, she looked behind where I was standing, I approached her and asked her if she wanted to come along with me, she agreed and followed me behind.

She took a seat besides me, I was working on my laptop but my mind was on Addison.

She didn't speak anything the whole ride, there was total silence in the car. Jared was busy talking on the call with his mother.

After an hour I reached Addison to the place where she lived.

It was a small house, maybe she lived there as a tenant.

I asked Jared to find out if it was her house or it was a rented one.

"Jared I want you to find out if it is a rented house, and if it is, who is the owner of that house?"

"Yeah sure sir", Jared replied.

"If it's a rented house I want you to inform the owner of that house that if she wants the rent amount she should ask me for that instead of Addison", I said.

"Yes sure sir", Jared replied.
