C5 The Secretary's Post

Addison POV

Next morning

I woke up with my alarm ringing so I turned my alarm off and I went back to sleep. My small brother then came jumping on my bed trying to wake me up. I woke up, gave him a morning kiss and began to make my bed proper, I made breakfast and fed my brother.

And started to get ready for work. I wore a blue top and a slit skirt which was below my knees. I then left my brother to auntie Maddie's house and began to leave for work.

I caught a cab, and after 30 mins I reached my office. Everyone was busy working on their pc, not like other days. Usually when I enter my office everyone is busy gossiping, having fun, sipping their coffee but today it was different. My friend Anna approached me and gave me a hug and we headed towards our seat.

"Are you done with your work", I asked her softly.

"Yeah I am almost done, next week we will be getting our positions, I heard that the CEO alloted the post for everyone", she said.

"Yeah I heard about that",I said.

Soon after 20 mins our CEO entered the office along with his laptop and his guard and our boss followed him.

Everyone stood at their place and began to greet him. Today's day went smoothly, I had no trouble in my office and today the CEO did not scold anyone. Our CEO left early as he had some work to do. Soon after our young CEO left we all left as we worked too much today.

AFTER A WEEK

Today when I entered my office. Our boss started to allot positions to all the workers.

When our boss announced my name he said "Mrs Warner your position is kept on hold you will soon get your position you need to wait a little". saying this he left and entered his cabin. I was tense and scared as I didn't want to lose my job. I have done my work well and I'm hard working too then why didn't I get any position, there were a lot of questions going on in my head.

I took my seat and started to complete my pending work. After an hour our boss showed up and approached me. He said that I have got the position of the CEOs secretary. He congratulated me and left. I was shocked, it look a bit time for me to digest the information.

My friend Anna approached me and gave me a tight hug and said "ohh Addi baby I'm so happy for you, congratulations!!!!!" I said thank you and began to resume with my work.

I was so happy that finally something good happened in my life. I was now the secretary of the CEO which is a high post, which means my salary would increase. I could easily pay the rent of my house, the school fees of my brother Noel. I could also keep a nanny for him as I didn't want to trouble Auntie Maddie. I would rent a good apartment which would be near my office, I could save my taxi rent too.

I got a message on my cell phone which stated that $1000 was credited in my account. I got my salary in advance.

This was the best day of my life.

"So now you are the CEOs secretary, no let me correct myself "personal" secretary, I want a party let's celebrate together today at 8pm ok", Anna said.

"Where you want to go", I asked.

"We will go clubbing Tonight, ok I will meet you at 8 pm today in Arons club,don't be late",she said.

"Ok fine I will meet you there", I replied.

After a few minutes Jared approached me. He told me "sir wants you in his cabin and please don't be late as he hates people who are not on time", Saying this he left.

I approached the CEO's cabin and knocked before entering, a voice from inside said "come in". I entered and I took a seat as he told me to. He then informed me that I would be having my personal cabin, and from tomorrow I could resume my work, for today I could take a leave. I then left his cabin with a smile on my face.

I completed my pending work and left for home.

Addison was unaware of why she got that position and what was soon coming ahead of her, Christof had huge plans for her as the reason for giving her that position was not because of her hard work but there was a darker side to that.

Christof POV

Jared entered my cabin and he gave me all the information about Addison Warner

"Sir her mother passed away 4 months ago she had no financial support, she had the responsibility of her brother on her shoulders, she stays in a rented house, the owner of that house gave her am estimate date to leave that house they wanted new tenants, she has a grandmother who is not in good relationship with her and her brother because of their mother, her relatives too have cut all their relationship with her".He said.

"Umm I see she is a very hardworking girl. She looks innocent and sincere too and most importantly she is in need of money, perfect!!" I said.

Jared was confused but he didn't want to interfere in my matters so he left my cabin.

I then called Mr Smith and told him to place Addison Warner as my personal secretary.

"That's is a really good decision Mr Nelson, your dad wanted her to be his personal secretary but unfortunately he passed away", Mr Smith said.

He told me that he would inform her and she would start her work from tomorrow. Saying that he left my cabin.

I called my friend Aron who was the owner of a club. Today was his birthday so I called him to wish him.

"Hey Ron happy birthday bro, how are you?", I asked.

'I am fine Chris, thank you I am having a small party at my club and you need to come, or else I will end our friendship, so now it's up to you.

Today at 8pm in my club ok, bye".

Saying this he cut the call.

I completed my work, and called out for Jared.

"Yes sir?"He asked.

Jared, I would like you to join me today for my friend's birthday Party, I would like your company so would you come along with me?", I asked him.

"Yes sure what time?"He asked.

"8pm in Aarons club", I replied.

"Ok we will leave together Christof", he said.

"Yeah sure, I'm done with my work we will leave in sometime", I said.

"Ok sure sir I will be waiting for you near the car", he replied.

"Yeah ok", I said.

After a few minutes I headed towards my car where Jared was waiting for me, he opened the car door for me, I took my seat, he sat beside me.

After an hour we reached the club, Aaron was waiting for me outside the club.

"Hey Christof after so long we are meeting, how are you bro?",he asked while giving me a hug.

I'm fine, how are you?

"You are changed bro, I mean in a good way, new hairstyle you started growing a beard, cool!!",I replied.

"Yeah I know, we need to change right, and we need to move on too", he said.

"By the way what about your girlfriend, I didn't hear about her for 4 years, where is she now?", He asked.

"We broke up, we are now not together, can we speak about something else I am seriously not in the mood to speak about her", I said.

"Ok fine, let's have some fun tonight, I arranged girls for us, today will be a fun night", he said.

We entered his club from the other side which was for the VIP guests.

We took our seats in the bar, there were girls all around us wearing clothes which revealed their body.

They all were gorgeous and hot , they were all entertaining us with their dance.

Aaron opened the champagne bottle.

We began to drink and have fun, the girls gave us a lap dance.

Jared moved out from the room because he had to attend a call from someone.

I carried one girl in my arms and began to kiss her, she was pulling my hair, so I pulled her hands over her head and pressed her towards the wall.

The kiss was intense, at that moment I could imagine Addison,I tried to divert my mind as I didn't want to remember anything about her, I was trying to concentrate on the kiss with the bar dancer.

Suddenly my eyes went to the other side of the bar, I could see the other side of the bar from the glass as the VIP room had glass windows and doors.

It was Addison, there were some guys who were trying to get her, they were whistling and teasing her, one of them was trying to get close to her.

I couldn't see that, no one had the right to touch her, I pushed the girl, whom I was kissing and headed towards Addison.

Addison was moving backwards from the guys, she didn't know that I was standing behind her.

Her back hit my chest while she was moving backwards.

I was now holding her waist tightly,

"Move aside Addison", I said.

The guys who were troubling her moved backwards, and ran to the exit of the bar.

They had noticed the gun in my pocket, before they busted I saw the scared look in all of their eyes.

I pulled Addison towards me and walked her out from the bar.

"Get in the car", I said.

"No, I can help myself", she said with a scared tone.

"Addison I said get in the damn car right now!!!, I don't wanna hear anything else just get into the car", I said with a loud voice.

She got into the car and I drove the car towards the place where she lived.

"Don't you know how dangerous it could be, what were you doing alone in the club!"

"Say something Addison, why are you quiet now?", I asked.

"I came along with Anna, she got too drunk so she went to take some air outside the club. It was 20 minutes and Anna didn't return. I was tense about her so I went in search of her, by mistake I bumped into these guys, the rest you know what happened", she replied.

"Take some rest when you get home, I said.

After an hour we reached the place where Addison lived, she got out of my car and moved towards her car, I knew she was scared, she noticed the gun in my pocket.

So I expected this kind of reaction from her.

Addison POV

We entered the club together, the club was crowded with druggies and drunk youth.

"I think we should move out, i don't feel that it would be good for us to stay here, look at these people around", I said.

"Come on Addison, why are you getting scared, I have been here many times. It's safe, we are here to enjoy it,'' she replied.

"It's my first time in a club, I have never been to a club before", I said.

"Trust me Addison you will enjoy here, come on let's have a drink", she said.

We headed towards the bar,

"two shots please", Anna asked the bartender.

"No it's ok you know I don't drink, I would prefer a mocktail", I replied.

Addison you try one it's not a crime to drink, come on please, we are here to enjoy",she said.

"Ok fine I will have only one shot okay"

"Fineee", she said.

The bartender placed two shots on the table.

"In the count of three we will have the shots together okay?"

"Okay fine", I replied.

"One, two, three", she counted.

We had the shots in one sip.

Honestly it didn't taste at all good,

But to keep my friend's heart I had to have it.

I ordered for mocktail as I didn't like to drink, Anna ordered 5 shots.

She had almost 10 shots.

After a lot of drinking, Anna felt sick.

"Addison I am not feeling good, I will go take some fresh air outside, you wait for me here okay?", She said.

"You want me to come along with you?", I asked.

"No it's fine Addison, you just wait here for me ok, we will catch a cab together",

Saying this she left the bar.

I waited for her for 20 minutes, "hope so she is fine" I said to myself.

I decided to go in search of her as it took too long for her return.

I called out her name, but she was nowhere to be seen.

I entered the club, maybe she is searching for me inside the club.

I began to search her inside the club, while searching her I bumped into a group of guys, by mistake I spilled a drink from their hand, they got furious and started taking steps towards me, I told them that I am sorry and I didn't mean to spill the drink from their hand it was by mistake, but they were not interested in listening to me.

I started moving backwards, I hit my back on someone's chest while moving backwards.

When I turned it was Christof,he was standing behind me.

He was holding my waist and he told me to move aside, I did as he said.

He took his hands towards his pocket, that Is when I noticed that he had a gun, he was going to get his gun out of his pocket.

The group of guys were scared so they ran towards the exit.

Christof pulled me towards him by my hand.

He told me to sit in the car, I was too scared after what had happened, so I said that I could help myself to get home by myself, and I didn't need his help.

But he was too angry and furious.

He yelled at me to just get into the car, I did as he said.

He drove the car very fast, he asked me what I was doing there so late and alone.

I told him everything, that was when he calmed himself down.

After an hour I reached my place, I got out of the car without thanking him, and ran towards my door.

Anna POV

I and Addison went to Aarons club where we would celebrate her promotion.

She was now the private secretary of our CEO.

We arrived at the club. I ordered two shots one for me and the other for Addison.

Addison was too fussy; she said that she would have a mocktail rather than a cocktail.

As it would be too much for her. I forced her to have at least one drink.

I told her to stop acting like a cry baby, she had one shot for me.

I ordered a tequila for me, I had too many drinks today, the fact was that I wanted to get my mind off from Jared, my boyfriend.

I told Addison that I was feeling sick and I needed to take some fresh air outside,

I told her to wait inside the club for me.

I left the bar and took a support of the wall.

I was feeling too sick as I had too many drinks.

After a few minutes I decided to get back to Addison as she was all alone in the bar.

As I took a few steps I fell on someone's shoulders.

When I lifted my head I saw that it was Jared who was holding my waist.

"You should go home Anna", he said.

"Why should I listen to you Jared? We are not in a relationship, you know that very well", I said.

"I know we are not in a relationship but you can't stay here. This place is not safe for you, listen to me Annna", he replied.

I had tears in my eyes.

"Why did you break up with me Jared, I loved you so much", I said.

He wiped my tears and said,

"You cheated on me anna you didn't tell me that you were already dating another guy", he replied while wiping my tears.

"I broke up with him Jared for you", I said.

"Anna we will talk later for now you are coming along with me", he replied.

"No I can't go along with you Addison is all alone inside in the club she has never been to any club before", I said.

"Don't worry about Addison Christof will take care of her, now you come along with me", he added.

He carried me in his arms and drove me to the place where he lived.
