C8 I Accept Your Proposal

Addison POV

I left my office and headed towards my office garden. I sat there for 5 hrs thinking about what to do. I had no other option than to accept the proposal. I couldn't afford to lose my job as I needed the money.

There were different thoughts going on in my head, I was confused, I didn't know what to do, but I knew that I had to give Noel a good life, he didn't deserve a life like me, struggling, he deserved better.

The whole time I blamed my mother, it's just because of her I am in this situation, none of my relatives wants to keep any relationship with us because of my mom.

She took a wrong decision, of going against her family, she decided to escape from home and marry, my grandparents hate her for this, they hate us too, because we are the seed of her sins.

My grandparents are from a religious family, so I expected this from them.

Even if I left the job, Christof promised me that I would not get another job so I had to accept his contract.

It was now 6 pm and I had to return home, I caught a cab. After 1 hour I reached home.

Changed my outfit, took a shower,

Read a story for him which I usually do tucked Noel to bed, and headed towards my room. I had a sleepless night.

I had different thoughts arising in my mind, I knew that it was best for all of us to accept his proposal.

It was now morning,I woke up from my bed and began to get ready for work. I made breakfast for Noel, left him at my neighbor's house and caught a cab.

I reached my office and headed towards the CEO's office. I then told him "I accept your proposal but I have a condition, that my brother will stay along with us after marriage"

"Ok fine your brother will stay along with you, remember that this contract should only be between us, no one should know about this contract, people should think that we are in love," he said with a smirk.

I replied "ok fine"

"Today you are invited for dinner with my parents so be on time, you can get your brother along with you, remember my family should not know anything about this contract".

"Why are you hiding this from your family, they need to know about this?" I questioned.

"It's none of your business so don't you dare interfere in my matters that's a warning" he replied with anger.

"You can leave now, remember to be on time, I'll send my driver to pick you".

"But I can't hurt your family, they would have a lot of expectations from us, we can't do this to them", I said.

"This is my family I know what is right and what is wrong for them, it would be better to keep this a secret from them, and yes the lawyer of my dad will ask you a few questions you need to make him believe that we are in love he should not have any doubt that this was a contract between us, you won't tell your friend Anna about this,

did I make myself clear Addison?", he replied.

"But why not Anna, she is my best friend she needs to know".

"I said you won't tell her Addison",he said holding his fist tight

"Yes I won't let him or Anna know anything about this contract", I added.

"That's good mis Addison, after a month you are going to be Mrs Addison Christof Nelson", he replied.

I just gave a small fake smile.

I then left his cabin and entered my cabin and began to resume my work. Many things were going on in my mind, I felt how unhappy my life was. I have always wished to marry the love of my life. I never knew that my marriage would be based on a contract.

My life is over, there is no more happiness in my life.

I had to tell Anna about all of this but I couldn't, I know if she gets to know, she will be furious, I will explain everything to her when it's the right time.

I finished my work and left the office, I saw that Christof was waiting for near his car,

"I will leave you home today" he said,

"No it's ok Christof I can't help myself", I replied.

"Please I need some time alone", saying this I left from his sight.

I caught a cab, after an hour

I reached home and told Noel that today we would have dinner at my CEO's place so I told him that he should behave like a good boy there.

I told him to get ready, I went towards my wardrobe and started to choose which dress I could wear. Christof was very rich so I had to choose my outfit according to that.

I decided to wear a red dress, I left my hair, wore my heels, and carried Noel in my arms, and began to wait for Christof's car.

"I don't want to go anywhere today Addison", Noel said.

"Why Noel?, you will have fun there", I replied.

"Ok Addison, for how long will we wait here", he asked.

"Just for sometime, Christof will be here in any moment ok darling", I replied.

"Ok Addison", he said.

After 20 mins Christof arrived along with his car. He told me to take a seat and he began to drive. "I thought that it would be better that we both go along together so that my family would have no doubt," he said.

"Are you Christof", Noel asked.

"Yes I am, and did Addison tell you that I am your brother in law too", he said

I whispered in Christof hears,

"there is no need to tell Noel anything about our marriage", I said.

"But why does he need to know right?".

"Yes he needs to know, but I will tell him by myself, don't interfere in my family matters Christof, as I am not interfering the same way I don't want you to, did I make myself clear Christof!!", I said.

"Hmm ok fine", he replied.

Christof played some soft music in the car, Noel was enjoying the car ride, he was talking to Christof the whole time.

Christof was replying to all of his questions which he asked.

"I am sorry that my brother is troubling you", I said.

"No he is not, at least I am not bored, and the best part is that he is not making the whole ride awkward", he replied with a smirk.
