C6 Chapter 6

Naomi POV

After minutes of exchanging words with Mr arrogant I finally stormed off his office angrily .

"How could he be so rude to the extent that he didn't have a tiny regard for a lady."

His words alone have finally succeeded in ruining my mood today.

I wanted to go home but I remembered I still have a few packages to deliver.

I hop in my delivery motorcycle and started it then zoom off.

After delivering the rest package which takes three hours I was exhausted and hungry.

I decided to stop by my bestie shop to get something for myself.

Oops!!!!

I don't want to stress her too much she has done a lot for me just today.

I saw a cheap restaurant and I stopped by and decided to check it out.

I went in and took my sit "not too bad."

I said to myself.

"Waiter." I called, immediately I saw a middle aged lady coming to my direction.

Immediately she gets to my direction she greeted me.

"Gooday ma." She greeted.

"Gooday" i responded to her greetings.

"Can I have the menu mam."

I demanded. "okay! She said and handed the menu over to me.

I took it from her and scroll through the menu.

All the food on the menu are so expensive and discouraging.

I was about to hand the menu over to her when my eyes landed on a cheap meal.

"May i have burger and kola?"

I requested.

"Okay ma, give me some minutes to prepare and bring it to you she said before leaving.

While I was waiting for the waiter I decided to do some stuff to keep me busy .

I pick up my handset to play some games before the waitress arrives.

Just as I was playing the game, my phone rang when I checked who the caller is i realized it was my best friend.

I picked it up "Hello bestie." I said.

"Hi dear, how are you? she asked.

"I'm fine, you just asked me that some house ago." I teased her.

"I know babe but you know I need to check on you always to avoid you getting into trouble." she said.

"Are you trying to call me a troublemaker or what?" I asked her

pretending to be angry.

"No it's not what you think it's just that I want want want want....." she stammered.

"it's ok I know why you called stop changing it I told her."

"You already caught me." She said.

We both burst into laughter.

"So how is your pizza delivery job going?" She asked sounding happy again.

"It's great and fun not until I bump into Mr arrogant jerk again". i said with my mood already spoilt.

"Who are you referring to?" She questioned.

"It's the annoying Jerk I told you about today". I answered.

"Oo oh you mean that rude jerk who you damaged his windscreen". She asked

"Yes!! , It's the crazy jerk I had an unpleasant meeting with this morning". I told her with my mood already sour.

"What is the reason for this other fight this time around".

She questioned me already angry at my behavior for me fighting with Mr arrogant.

"Bestie the thing is that I I I I was was was not the one at wrong this time around again". I shuttered.

"Then who is at wrong tell me and explain everything". she said angrily.

"That's what am about to do".

"Hmm mm". I cleared my throat .

"When I arrived at the company I was to deliver pizza".

I was about to explain myself when the waiter Came saving my A*s from explanation.

"Ma this is your meal she told me and placed the meal on my table". Thank you I told her

"You are welcome". she said with smiles on those beautiful face before leaving.

"And who are you talking to?" my best friend asked me.

"I'm sorry! I was so engrossed in the meal the waiter brought, it looks so delicious". I said licking my lips.

"Even though it's not delicious I know you will say it's delicious because you are a glutton". she said teasing me.

"Are you trying to say I love eating and don't know the taste of anything?" I questioned her.

"If it's what you called it that's what you are". she said.

"Awwwn you just break my heart into pieces". I said faking tears.

"Stop those tears faking and eat your food miss glutton". she continue teasing me.

Seems you are already know me when I'm Faking and when I'm serious". I said.

"Yes honey!, I know everything about you". she said boasting at me.

"Bestie knows it all I teased her.

"I will call you back when I'm done eating, and don't forget to buy me chocolate while coming".

I said pouting my mouth like a baby as if she can see me from here.

"Okay little baby I will buy you the chocolate baby boo". She said.

And we both burst into laughter.

"One more thing baby you know you haven't tell me what transpired between you and Mr Arrogant". she reminded me.

"Yes! I will definitely tell you under one condition". I said.

"What condition this time around". she replied already frustrated.

"I want you to buy me chocolate when coming from work". I told her.

"Yes! I would as long as you also fulfill your promise of telling me all what happened today". she said.

"I promise to tell you everything that transpired between I and Mr arrogant today". i said.

"Okay hunny! I'll talk to you later, I love you! kisses!". she told me.

I replied with the same word and hang up the call then I dropped my phone on the table and went back to the meal.

"It really looks delicious". I said to myself .

I hope it taste delicious as well.

I picked up the bugger and took a bite.

"Hmmmmm this taste delicious as I predicted it may taste". I said.

I continue munching my meal

It didn't take a minute before the plate become empty.

I gulp down the remaining kola in front of me and cleaned my mouth with the tissue on my table, and brought out my purse to pay the waiter because I already know the my bills.

Just as I was about to bring out the money from my purse the waiter came with my bill, I took the bill from her to confirm the payment if its correct.

The bill I calculated in my head was the same bill the waiter gave to me.

I took out 30 box from my purse and gave it to the waiter.

"Thanks for coming". she thanked me.

"You are welcome". I smiled.

I stood up from my chair and exit the restaurant to continue my delivery for the rest of today.

I checked my time and found out I have 5 minutes left before my break expire.

I quickly jumped into my motorcycle and took off to the company where I work for to take more deliveries.

I drove faster to the company and at exactly 5 minutes later I got to the company.

I stopped my motorcycle and came out of it.

I ran inside the company to avoid query from my manager.

I arrived inside the company panting heavily and my eyes landed on the lady I saw this morning she was looking at me at a weird way and I became shy.

I walked slowly to the lady and greeted her.

"Gooday ma".

"Gooday miss she replied".

"I came for the rest orders of today so I can deliver them before I close from work". I told her.

"Yes, but before I forget the manager seek your presence in his office immediately". she said.

My heart stopped beating immediately she finished talking.

Why would the manager needs my presence? I asked myself already scared of the reason.
