C11 I Hope You Die Early and Reincarnate!

"Donating her heart early?"

Soong Yichen's cold-heartedness once again shattered Mu Wanxing's understanding. Did he even consider what this meant?

Ann Ling was furious. "Soong Yichen, by asking Wanxing to donate her heart early, you're essentially sentencing her to death! How heartless can you be? Even if you're pretending to have amnesia, you can't be this indifferent to a human life!"

"She's going to donate her heart anyway. What difference does a few days make?" Soong Yichen replied indifferently. "I'm just giving her a heads-up. Honest advice is hard to hear. Don't bother Qier over trivial matters."

Mu Wanxing felt her heart turn to ice. To him, her life was as insignificant as a blade of grass. Was this "honest advice" or a warning?

"By your logic, Kin Qier is going to die sooner or later too, so if she died now, it would..."

"Shut up! Get out!" Soong Yichen's face twisted with rage. Before Ann Ling could finish, he shoved her out of the guest room, sending her sprawling to the floor.

"Ann!" Mu Wanxing hurried out to help Ann Ling.

Soong Yichen, holding Kin Qier, strode past them, stepping on Mu Wanxing's foot.

"Ah!" Mu Wanxing cried out in pain, but Soong Yichen didn't even look back.

Ann Ling, seething with anger, shouted at their retreating figures, "Soong Yichen, you bastard! Kin Qier, I hope you find peace sooner rather than later!"

"Soong Yichen will definitely die before her," he spat out angrily before storming off.

"Wanxing, how's your foot?" Ann Ling asked with concern.

"Yeah," Mu Wanxing replied, clutching her chest, her eyes vacant. Her foot hurt, but it was nothing compared to the pain in her heart. Soong Yichen knew exactly how to hurt her the most.

"Can you walk? Let's get to the car first."

"Yeah."

Mu Wanxing let Ann Ling help her, limping out of the hotel. Once in the car, Ann insisted she take off her shoes and socks to check her foot.

"He stomped on you so hard, Soong Yichen is such a jerk..." Ann Ling stopped herself, seeing the imprint of Yichen's shoe on Wanxing's swollen foot. She was furious but held back, mindful of her friend's feelings.

Yichen was tall and strong, and carrying Kin Qier, he moved quickly. The weight of his step was unimaginable.

Ann Ling noticed a pharmacy nearby. "Wanxing, wait here for a moment. I'll get you some medicine."

"Yeah," Wanxing replied numbly, her mind replaying Yichen's harsh words and his cold demeanor. Could amnesia really make him forget his love for her and lose his conscience?

Even if she was just a stranger to him, he shouldn't have been so harsh, stepping on her foot without a hint of apology!

Ann Ling quickly returned with the medicine.

Mu Wanxing was still applying it when two police officers came over and knocked on the car door.

"Is there a problem, officers?" Ann Ling asked as she got out of the car.

"We received a call reporting that you were causing a disturbance at the hotel, including vandalism and assault. We'll need you to come to the station to give a statement," one of the officers said, his face expressionless.

"What?" Ann Ling was completely taken aback.

Mu Wanxing, however, caught on quickly. She gave Ann Ling a look and mouthed, "Soong Yichen."

It seemed that because Ann Ling had cursed at Kin Qier, Soong Yichen had called the police.

He trampled her into the dust while putting Kin Qier on a pedestal, untouchable and beyond reproach.

"What nonsense! The guilty party is complaining first!" Ann Ling snapped, her temper flaring. "Fine, I wanted to report them anyway!"

"Let's go, ladies," the officer said, strictly business.

"Officer, listen, we didn't hit anyone. That woman staged the whole thing. In fact, I want to report them for cohabitation, illegal cohabitation..." Ann Ling began her tirade in the police car.

Mu Wanxing felt relieved having someone as socially adept as Ann Ling around; it saved her a lot of trouble.

"We'll look into your claims," the officer replied, unimpressed. "You'll have time to explain everything at the station."

The two of them spent quite a while at the police station giving their statements. Since there was no direct evidence to prove they had been involved in a fight, they were released.

Ann Ling tried to counter-sue Kin Qier, but it didn't work out because, supposedly, the hotel's security cameras were down that day.

As for the accusations against Soong Yichen, they were deemed "unfounded."

"In what world does a seven-star international hotel have broken security cameras just like that? Do you believe it? I sure don't," Ann Ling grumbled in the car.

Mu Wanxing felt a chill in her heart. "Looks like Kin Qier was ready for this, just waiting for me to fall into her trap."

"She wants to mess with me? Well, she's got another thing coming!" Ann Ling said, slapping the steering wheel.

Mu Wanxing had been thinking a lot and grabbed Ann Ling's hand. "There's no need. She's like a porcelain doll with her heart condition, always ready to play the victim. Just a slight touch, and she can pretend to be sick. Going up against her is a losing battle. It's not worth risking your life over hers..."

"Then what about you?" Ann Ling murmured. "Are you still planning to donate your heart to her?"

Mu Wanxing lowered her eyes. "Yichen's lost his memory. I want to try a little harder."

Ann Ling sighed. "Take care of yourself, okay?"

Mu Wanxing leaned back against the headboard, gently pressing the spot where her tumor was, reflecting on Ann Ling's words, her gaze growing increasingly lonely and helpless.

Despite taking medication, her condition was relentlessly worsening, and she no longer had the courage to face the affected area. Yet, the pain throughout her body was a constant reminder of its presence.

The door swung open, and Yichen entered, bringing a chill with him. Wanxing straightened up, watching him approach, her gaze flickering. "Yichen, I'm really not feeling well right now. Could you hold me for a moment?"

She longed for a warm embrace—his embrace.

"What are you trying to pull? Playing the victim?" Yichen frowned.

A pang shot through Wanxing's heart. Wasn't Kin Qier the one skilled at playing the victim and acting?

Yichen's voice was cold. "I'm here to warn you, don't go looking for Qier again, or... I don't need to repeat what I said at the hotel, do I?"

Was he asking her to donate her heart early?

Wanxing's heart ached again. "Don't worry, I might not live that long."

Yichen gave Wanxing a strange look.

Wanxing rolled up her sleeve, revealing the growing dark lump on her hand.

Yichen grimaced. "Put that down! Are you trying to ruin my appetite? Wasn't the embarrassment you caused at the banquet enough?"

Wanxing, looking embarrassed, pulled her sleeve back down and retrieved her medical report from the bedside table, handing it to Yichen. "Take another look at this."

Soong Yichen reluctantly took the document, giving it a quick glance, clearly lacking patience. "Just tell me, what exactly are you trying to pull?"

Mu Wanxing gathered her strength. "I've been diagnosed with a terminal illness, late-stage melanoma. I have maybe a little over a month left."

She looked at Soong Yichen, hoping for a hint of sympathy, but his expression remained indifferent.

After a moment, Soong Yichen slowly responded, "I see, so that's how it is."
