Eliza Campos

Lucas was driving me in his car to my house, but on the way, he decided to ask me some questions.

- Eliza, I didn't believe what you told me. Where were you?

I guess I'll get a lecture from Lucas just for having fun.

- Lucas, I told you I went for a drink of coke and ran into someone there, you probably already know what happened next.

- Eliza, you are very irresponsible," says Lucas.

- Brother, stop being so grim - I say - Carla told me that you guys are staying, right? - I said, trying to change the focus of the subject.

Lucas ends up getting embarrassed by my question.

- Yes, we did, but we don't need to talk about it now," he says, making me laugh because of the look on his face.

- Brother, you don't have to be embarrassed," I say and decide to tell Lucas the same thing I told Carla, "I would love to have Carla as my sister-in-law, you two would make such a cute couple.

Lucas gives a small smile and continues to drive to my house, which doesn't take long to reach its destination.

- We're here," he says.

After our brief conversation, I say goodbye to Lucas and rush into the house without giving my brother a chance to say anything, and then he leaves for his house.

After entering the house, I take the opportunity to eat something and then go to take a quick shower, so I can sleep.

When I was already lying in my bed, I remembered the crazy things I did at the nightclub with Thomas, the man I met there.

And lost in my thoughts, I end up falling asleep.

I wake up the next morning feeling refreshed, but that strange feeling takes over my body again. I can't explain if it is something good or something bad. Then I get out of bed and brush my teeth, have my breakfast very quietly since today I would be a little later at work.

I took a long shower, my body is very sore from the hot night I had at the club with Thomas.

I felt like teasing Peter today, and also because I want to feel beautiful and desired. After the shower, I decided to put on a dress that was very tight to my body and highlighted all my curves, it wasn't short, but it was very provocative.

As I didn't feel like driving today, I decided to take public transportation and inside there were only compliments, a sign that I looked beautiful.

When I arrive at the company, the first person to notice me is Carla.

- My God! Girlfriend, you want to kill everyone, you look so beautiful - she says.

I smiled shyly at Carla's compliment, until today I never knew how to react to certain compliments.

- Thank you, Carla. I just woke up feeling beautiful today. It's been so long since I've felt this way," I say, unable to contain the smile that opens up on my face.

- Friend, you will always be beautiful," she says, "You have a rare beauty, perfect skin like that of an angel, your hair slightly wavy and even more so in this red color.

Carla makes me blush again.

- Thank you, my friend. Is everyone here yet? - I ask and Carla quickly answers.

- Pedro and his fiancée have already arrived, only Cassandra and Pietro are missing.

Although I had already had coffee, I decided to go with Carla, so we could gossip.

- Sure, I have several things to tell you - I answer.

We walked together for a few minutes to the table where the coffee machine is.

- You can start talking - She demands that I start talking.

I pour myself a little coffee and speak.

- Carla, when I went to say goodbye to the staff after you left. Can you believe Cassandra and Heloise called me a slut?

- Why, did they have a reason? - she asks.

- Cassandra, I believe is our confusion between me and her - I answer - Heloise, it's probably because of Pedro.

- Cassandra must be jealous she feels of Pietro and you, since he is your ex-boyfriend, as you confided to me yesterday - Carla says, thinking for a few moments before adding - But Pedro? Aren't you going to tell me that he hit on you and Heloise?

I wonder what Carla would think when I revealed Pedro's jealousy to her.

- It wasn't exactly that, but Peter was complimenting me on the meeting spreadsheet and grabbed my hands, and she came into the room and saw the whole thing.

- And what could be worse than that? - she asks.

- When it was time to leave the club, he offered me a ride, of course, I thanked him, but I refused because his fiancée was by his side - I said - I also told him that I already had a ride, but I didn't say it was with Lucas, my brother, and Pedro was very upset with this, I don't know how to explain it, but I felt a certain jealousy coming from him.

Carla looks at me more and more, appalled at what I had revealed.

- What a mess, that's why I didn't expect it," she says but is suddenly silent.

Strange that sudden silence and as I turned to where she was looking, I realized that it was Cassandra and Pietro, who could not take their eyes off me.

I decided not to pay any attention to that and asked Carla.

- So, can you tell me if there is any news about the company today? I noticed that people seem to be in a hurry today. Pedro didn't tell me anything that anything would happen.

- Lizz, if you hadn't asked me, I would have forgotten to tell you. It seems we'll have the vice-president, Pedro's brother," she answers, "and besides him, we'll also have the illustrious presence of Manuel, Heloise's father and the real owner of the company.

Wow, I didn't expect that, I believed that Pedro was the owner of the company and not Heloise's father.

- Wow, I didn't know that Pedro had a brother, and I believed that he owned the company.

- About Pedro's brother, I never suspected that he is not one to reveal personal matters - Carla says - Heloise's father trusted him so much that he gave him the presidency of the company.

- Our conversation was very nice, but, I need to go to my office to prepare some things about the company that Pedro asked me for now by message - I say, probably he was busy with the visits that we will have today - Anything you call me.

- Sure, go ahead - Carla says.

Then I go to my living room.

I started to put away some paperwork that Pedro had asked me to do.

I hope that everything goes well with the visit of Pedro's brother and Heloise's father.
