C6 Feel My Power!

[A special quest has been received.]

[Win some, lose some!]

[Gain +1 all status per win or -1 all status per loss.]

With great excitement, Al stepped into the arena. Although he was unsure why he had received a special quest, he was certain that the reward would provide him with a significant boost for his future adventures.

In his debut bout, Al effortlessly defeated his opponent with a single blow. His adversary, nearly the same age as him, charged forward with a knife in both hands. Despite being frequently overpowered by his father, Al sighed in frustration, thinking he had been given an easy win. He swiftly sidestepped the attack, leaving his opponent exposed to a counterstrike. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Al used the bottom handle of his dagger to strike his opponent at the base of the neck, rendering him unconscious.

One of the high-level adventurers whistled while admiring what has happened. Everyone was in awe for a moment. Then a loud cheer burst from all over the arena.

"What a remarkable display of skill from Al Gran!", the announcer exclaimed, sounding as if he had not seen such an impressive battle in a long time. The spectators began chanting Al's name, and he quickly became the center of attention, with both fans and rivals alike fixated on him. Al scanned the arena and spotted his friends near the gate. Their excitement was palpable as they wildly waved to get his attention.

[Congratulations, you received +1 all stats from your quest!]

[1/5 win rewards have been received.]

Al was overjoyed as he received his first reward and raised his fists in celebration, grinning from ear to ear.

"I was worried that Al would be bored, but it looks like he's really into it!" Jun exclaimed.

"Earlier, I thought he might back out because he looked disheartened when he walked out of the participant's area. I must have been imagining things. Ha ha," Isha added, happy to see that Al was enjoying the event.

"Only four more matches to go!", Al thought to himself. Despite feeling remorse for his opponents, he couldn't pass up on the rare opportunity of a special quest. The next few battles were much like the first, too easy and lackluster. Some of them even tripped while attacking and wailed after receiving dagger wounds. However, there was another competitor who was dominating the field but was not receiving the same accolades as Al. This person was taking down opponents with powerful punches and, even directly attacking them with his dagger. At one point, a high-level adventurer had to intervene and stop the fight because of the intense killing intent emanating from this individual.

[Congratulations, you received +1 all stats from your quest!]

[5/5 win rewards have been received.]

[Special quest has been completed.]

The plan was to back out after finishing the special quest, but something happened that changed his mind. Most of the competitors withdrew either because of the feeling of inferiority or because they are plainly scared to face this one opponent that's causing a ruckus right now. It suddenly was the last fight and Al is to face this opponent.

"Whoa, I thought you'd give up too! Haha!"

"I was ready to, but now that it's come to this, I'm eager to face you!"

"Al Gran, are you certain you still wish to proceed?" the announcer inquired, feeling uneasy about the potential outcome of the duel.

"I really wanted to fight him, and we have them here if something bad were to happen, right?"

Al gestured towards the experienced adventurers, who nodded in agreement. They also appeared eager to witness the bout's conclusion.

"Are you sure about this?", the other adventurer inquired.

"Of course I am, they are only level 1!", the other boldly replied.

"Alright, suit yourself."

"Will Al be okay?" Isha asked with noticeable worry.

"I hope so," Jun replied, worry etched on her face. "I just hope he doesn't get hurt too badly in there."

Rey nodded as Isha turned to him. They had to wait for the results and hope for the best. The announcer then called the two participants. "The last fight is about to begin! Qildor Eiln versus Al Gran!"

The battle began with Qildor charging at Al without pause. Al easily blocked the attacks. They then traded blows rapidly. The sound of their clashing daggers filled the arena. Al spotted an opportunity and tossed his opponent, but Qildor broke free. The spectators were in awe, so captivated they seemed to forget to breathe.

"Ah, this feeling! I know how happy you are right now, Al Gran!"

"But let me remove that grin on your face... Rage!"

Qildor was suddenly enveloped by a green silhouette of a horned creature. The seasoned adventurer smiled as he could see such an interesting battle. "A normal unique Rage skill huh?", one of them excitedly said. Unique skills are categorized by their rarity, normal Rage skill emits a green rage aura, while magic shows red and black for legendary. This applies to all Unique Skills, they may have a different visual effect, but the main differences are their power scaling.

A visible gust of wind is suddenly forming around him from below that produces stronger winds after each skill announcement he makes.

"I have received a Normal Unique Skill: Rage! Let me test its power on you! Bwahaha!"

"Consume, consume, consume, consume!" His voice became increasingly distorted as he continued to shout. The announcer rushed to the guarding adventurers, asking them to stop the fight. But one replied that a normal rage skill can only boost an adventurer's Strength and Agility by a maximum of 5 points. Although it may appear uncontrolled for novice adventurers, they can easily fend him off or bring him to a halt at any moment.

"And he only amplified the skill's power to four times, showing he may still be cautious of the skill's fallout." Adventurers should know the potential fallouts of certain skills, which are typically specified in the skill description. The normal rage skill, for instance, carries the risk of incapacitation or being overtaken by rage if used at its maximum capacity without proper training or proficiency.

Qildor attacked Al furiously, but Al effortlessly deflected all of them. An opening presented itself to Al, allowing him to counter. He threw a punch that sent Qildor flying and caused a crack in the arena upon impact, demonstrating the force behind the blow.

"Curse you!", Qildor wailed in desperation.

"Consume!", followed by a deafening howl. The aura surrounding Qildor thickened, and his eyes turned red. Still continuing to howl loudly, causing the ground under his feet to crack. Al remained unfazed by what was happening. But his opponent suddenly disappeared.
