Watching Yiyue walk away, Luh Xin spat on the ground in frustration and turned to Yiyue, saying, "Yiyue, you need to be careful when you go out. That woman is such a nuisance. It's good we were here today, but next time, make sure you have someone with you."

Luh Xin looked at her with concern, adding, "You're so frail, a strong wind might just blow you away."

Yiyue: "........."

Not noticing Yiyue's expression, Luh Xin took matters into her own hands and started pushing Yiyue toward the entrance of the Xi family villa.

Yiyue snapped back to reality and stopped Luh Xin, looking bewildered. "Thanks, Xin, but I can walk on my own."

Back at the Xi family home, Yiyue could still feel the warmth of Luh Xin's enthusiasm.

At that moment, Xi's mother was returning from a walk in the garden with Xi's father. Seeing Yiyue, she smiled warmly.

After some small talk, Xi's father inquired about the company. The three of them chatted for a while, and after dinner, just as Yiyue was about to head upstairs, a servant informed her that someone was there to see her.

Xi's mother immediately asked, "Who could it be at this hour?"

The servant hesitated, glanced at Yiyue, and then said, "It's Mr. Fu."

"Fu Chen?"

"Fu Chen?" Yiyue and Xi's mother exclaimed simultaneously.

Xi's father frowned and asked, "Why is he here so late? What could be so important that it can't wait until morning?"

Yiyue's decision to break off the engagement with Fu Chen was something Mr. Xi had looked into. He knew it was because Fu Chen had gotten involved with another girl at school. However, Mr. Xi didn't know that the girl was Lin Yuv.

"Never mind, I'll go check it out," Yiyue said, shaking her head. She stood up, slipped on her shoes, and headed outside. Fu Chen wasn't some kind of wild beast, and Yiyue was curious to see what he wanted by showing up unannounced.

Outside the villa, Yiyue immediately spotted Fu Chen standing by his car under the dim streetlight. When he saw Yiyue, a flicker of disdain crossed his handsome face. It was quick, but Yiyue caught it.

"What do you want?" Yiyue asked, her eyes fixed on the spot where Fu Chen stood, deliberately avoiding his face.

"I heard Lin Yuv came to see you today."

Yiyue was taken aback. How did Fu Chen know? The incident had happened just that afternoon, and there had been no one else around. How did he find out so quickly?

Lowering her gaze to hide her emotions, Yiyue forced a smile and said, "She did come by this afternoon, talking about nothing important. But, Mr. Fu, what does that have to do with you?"

"What’s the deal?"

Fu Chen narrowed his eyes dangerously. "Yiyue, don't push your luck."

"Push my luck?" Yiyue chuckled. "Mr. Fu, are you confused? You come looking for me in the middle of the night, but do you even know why Lin Yuv reached out to me?"

Yiyue was almost certain that Fu Chen was unaware Lin Yuv contacted her about Yihann. As for whether Fu Chen knew about Lin Yuv and Yihann's involvement, she wasn't sure.

If he did know and still came here acting all accusatory, Yiyue would truly admire his ability to keep his cool.

"You!" Fu Chen frowned, staring at Yiyue for a moment before abruptly getting into his car and slamming the door as he drove off.
