What on earth is this?

Staring at the panel in front of her, Yiyue was momentarily taken aback. Everything that had happened to Xi Yiyue earlier seemed to fade away like a dream, even her complicated feelings for Luh Binn seemed to have diminished.

"Host, I am the upgraded system 001. Do you have any questions?"

A mechanical voice echoed from the starry sky, and Yiyue immediately recognized it as the system that had previously bonded with her. There was indeed a lot she didn't understand.

"What is this place? What do these data mean?"

"This is the Space-time Administration Bureau. The personal data represents your physical stats when you were human."

"Oh." Yiyue nodded, somewhat understanding. "So, what's the deal with the tasks? And what do task points mean?"

"In the vast world, there are always people with grievances and unfulfilled wishes. Your task is to help them achieve a specific goal or wish, which will earn you task points. These points can be exchanged for items you need. The task rating reflects how well you completed the task, with a perfect score being one hundred percent."

"And what does the life detection rate mean?" She understood aspects like appearance and age referred to her original body, and her low physical condition was due to her congenital heart disease. But she couldn't figure out the life detection rate.

"The life detection rate indicates the current life status of your body."

"Wait, wait, wait!" Upon hearing the explanation, Yiyue got a bit excited. "Are you saying I'm actually still alive?"

The mechanical voice paused. "Yes."

"If I'm still alive, why am I in this place?" Yiyue felt a bit resentful. Even though her health wasn't great, she still wanted to go back.

"Your body is no longer suitable for survival."

Not suitable for survival...

"However, if you complete tasks and exchange the points for a revival potion, you can return to your own body."

"Is that possible?" Just the hope of living was enough to lift her spirits a little. Trying to contain her excitement, Yiyue asked nervously, "So, how many points do I need to exchange for this potion?"

"One hundred points."

One hundred points, just one hundred points. That means she only needed to complete nine more tasks to go back?

As she eagerly prepared herself, another question popped into Yiyue's mind. "What happens if I fail a task?"

"Failing a task will result in a deduction of points."

Points get deducted for failing?!

A frown crossed her face.

"If the task score is below 70, no points will be added."

Another voice chimed in, sending Yiyue's spirits plummeting.

One hundred points sounded simple, but it seemed like it might be quite difficult.

Still, if she wanted to go back, she had to try her best.

With a weary look, contrasting her earlier determination upon hearing about the points, Yiyue now felt like a wilted flower. "Can I start a task now?"

"Sure thing, host!"

"Syncing mission... starting..."

"1%~100%"

This is a story set in ancient times, centered around a young couple of martial artists. Ever since she was a child, Yiyue dreamed of being a hero. In her dreams, she was accompanied by a highly skilled husband, respected by all, living a life of ease and contentment.

However, on the day she came of age, a man dragged her into a nightmare. He assaulted her and tricked her into leaving the valley, only to sell her to a brothel. Yiyue, unwilling to become a prostitute, used her martial arts skills to kill the guards who trapped her and escaped.

In those times, the lives of such guards weren't highly valued, but they were still human lives. The brothel reported her to the authorities, and Yiyue quickly became a wanted fugitive.

Determined to seek revenge on the man who deceived her, she disguised herself and set out to find him. She eventually found him, but his daughter turned her in, landing her in prison.

The story's protagonist is the daughter of the man who deceived Yiyue. Her name is Yiling. Her mother died in childbirth, and she lost her father at a young age. Later, a city lord took her in. As Yiling grew up, the city lord became increasingly fond of her and eventually arranged for her to be engaged to his son.

Yao Yiling didn't want to go through with the arranged marriage, so she fled from the City Lord's Mansion. Outside, she met Cheng Xuan, and after overcoming many challenges together, they found happiness.

Overall, there's no issue with the main characters; the real problem is the heroine's father. It's bad enough he targeted a girl about his daughter's age, but selling her into a brothel? No wonder Huang Yiyue felt so bitter.

The original wish was for the dream of being a hero and standing up for justice. She also hoped not to be blinded by evil again and to carve out her own bright future.

After absorbing these memories, Yiyue sighed with a mix of emotions. Neither Huang Yiyue nor Xi Yiyue seemed to harbor any desire for revenge against those who wronged them; they just wanted to live well.

Before Yiyue could finish her thoughts, a thin bamboo stick suddenly tapped her on the forehead. It didn't hurt much, but it startled her.

Looking up, she saw a strikingly beautiful woman standing before her. This woman was familiar to Yiyue; she was the original character's mother, known throughout the land as the Ghost Lady, a master of poison techniques.

"Weren't you supposed to be learning the poison arts? You've wasted the whole day being lazy."

"Xiuxiu, isn't it normal for kids to want to play?"

A scruffy man with a small flask in hand wobbled over. This was Yiyue's father. Despite his disheveled appearance, he was renowned as the Nine Suns Miracle Doctor, a legendary healer in the martial arts world.

People often say that doctors and poison masters don't mix, yet Yiyue's parents were a perfect match. Their love was profound, and they were admired by many in the martial arts community. Perhaps this was why Yiyue dreamed of a life as a heroic couple.

Scratching her head, Yiyue pouted and said, "Mom, I think I caught a chill last night. I feel a bit dizzy today, but I'm not trying to slack off."

"A chill?" Lan Xiuxiu's heart tightened as she knelt down to check Yiyue's pulse. Yiyue wasn't worried about her mother finding anything unusual; she had indeed caught a chill the previous night.

After a while, Lan Xiuxiu released Yiyue's hand and said, "I'll have your dad prepare some medicine for you. You should rest at home today."

Though Lan Xiuxiu appeared strict, she and Huang Jiuyang had only one daughter, Yiyue, whom they cherished deeply.
