Outside, Lan Xiuxiu and Huang Jiuyang were already dressed and standing in the yard. Originally, the couple had planned to go up the mountain to gather herbs, but since Yiyue had kept some for her allergies and taken the medicine, they no longer needed to make the trip.

While they were resting in the yard, the commotion caused by a drunken Yao Dayong was impossible to miss. Despite his clumsy attempts, the noise was loud enough for Huang Jiuyang and Lan Xiuxiu to hear.

The couple, still in their moment of intimacy, quickly dressed and rushed out, worried about their daughter. Before they even reached the house, they saw their beloved daughter opening the door and stepping out.

Realizing that the noise in the yard couldn't be hidden from her parents, Yiyue was startled to see them standing right outside her door. Her eyes darted around before she suddenly dashed toward Lan Xiuxiu, throwing herself into her mother's arms.

Lan Xiuxiu was taken aback by the sudden embrace and stood there for a moment, stunned. Instinctively, she raised her hand to gently stroke Yiyue's hair, just as Yiyue began to tremble and cry.

"Sweetheart?!" Lan Xiuxiu asked, confused, just as Huang Jiuyang quickly stepped into the room.

Yiyue noticed Huang Jiuyang's actions and looked up at Lan Xiuxiu with tear-filled eyes. "Mom, a man came into my room..."

"What?!"

Xiuxiu exclaimed, pushing past Yiyue to follow closely behind Jiuyang into the room. Yiyue's mouth twitched slightly; she had prepared a whole list of things to say to tarnish Dayong's reputation! She hadn't even finished, and her mom had already rushed off!

With a resigned sigh, Yiyue turned back, looking deflated as she re-entered the room.

"Dayong?!"

Upon seeing Dayong on the bed, Xiuxiu's eyes widened in shock as she looked at Jiuyang. "When did Dayong return to the valley?!"

Dayong had left the valley when Yiyue was very young, and after all these years, he suddenly reappeared, and here of all places.

Jiuyang frowned. "I don't know!"

Dayong had come back without notifying him, the head of the valley, or Xiuxiu. In the middle of the night, he had snuck into their daughter's room. His intentions were obvious.

Yiyue glanced between the two, stepped forward, and said, "Mom, when he came in, he was calling your name and said something like, 'If I can't have the mother, the daughter will do.'"

She pursed her lips, not caring how shocked the couple looked at her words. After all, she wouldn't miss any chance to smear Dayong's name. Besides, everything she said was true.

The original owner met a tragic end, one that could have been prevented by the couple known for their miraculous healing and mastery of poisons. Yet, they chose to ignore it, all because that scoundrel, Yao Dayong, claimed she willingly seduced him!

Huang Jiuyang didn't respond immediately, but his gaze at Yao Dayong was venomous. As a father and husband, he couldn't tolerate anyone threatening his daughter or disrespecting his wife.

"Let Qingyan spread the word: Poison Doctor Valley is cutting all ties with Yao Dayong. From now on, the Yao family has nothing to do with us."

Yao Dayong had managed to survive in the world largely due to his association with Poison Doctor Valley. Without that connection, his future would be anything but smooth. She was curious to see how Yao Yiling would assist her so-called father now.

"Alright, I'll send a message to Qingyan by carrier pigeon!" Lan Xiuxiu replied. Huang Jiuyang's decision to sever ties was already more than generous. Even if he hadn't acted, Lan Xiuxiu would have.

Yao Dayong had started as just an ordinary attendant by her side. It was only after he got involved with her personal maid that he gained the trust to come and go freely from Poison Doctor Valley. Little did they know, they had been nurturing a viper in their midst.

After witnessing Yao Dayong being thrown out of the valley, Huang Jiuyang changed the entrance to the valley, and the family of three finally returned home. By then, the sky was already turning light.

Glancing at the sky, Yiyue didn't rush back to her room. Instead, she suddenly asked, "Dad, Mom, is there a way to make someone who isn't allergic to hay become allergic?"

"What?!" Lan Xiuxiu was momentarily stunned, not quite understanding.

Huang Jiuyang's expression immediately darkened. Indeed, Yao Dayong's skills weren't impressive. With Yiyue's abilities, if Yao Dayong tried anything, he would have been dealt with before he even had the chance.

Regarding the hay, Huang Jiuyang was unaware that anyone in his family was allergic to it. Narrowing his eyes, he added this grievance to the list against Yao Dayong.

Before they knew it, more than half a year had passed. After the New Year, Yiyue began discussing her plans to venture out into the world with the Huang couple. After half a day of walking, she finally left the valley's territory. Beyond it lay a forest. Before she reached the main road, she heard a commotion. The loud, coarse voice made Yiyue imagine a burly man standing with his hands on his hips. However, when she followed the sound, she was surprised to see a refined young man in white, surrounded by a group of burly men. Despite the situation, he remained calm and composed, though every word he spoke was laced with profanity.
