C8 Pretty boy say what?

Emma's POV

"Elias" I called out to the dark room I woke up in. I tried to move from the bed but felt something draw me back lightly. Elias must have fallen asleep beside me because his hand was over mine and he held it in.

I tried to peel his fingers off mine but he stirred in his sleep making me pause in my tracks. From where I was sitting, I could hear his heartbeat loud and clear like I was resting on his chest. Blood rushed to my cheeks at the thought of laying my head on his bare chest making me look away.

"Emma?" I heard his voice call out in concern.

"Are you up?" He asked, sitting up on the chair. I can imagine how uncomfortable it must have been to sleep there through the night. Thinking about it made me feel a little bad for him.

I turned my head towards his direction in response.

"We need to talk, care to take a walk with me?" He asked, standing up and stretching a hand towards me.

I put my hands in his and felt the current shoot up my arms again, looking at him, I think he feels it too.

"Emma, you need to promise me that you're not going to freak out or get scared and run off" he started as we stopped in the middle of the driveway to a very big mansion. D*mn. His family must be so loaded.

"Elias, I'm getting worried, what's the problem?"

Elias' POV

It had been a whole 28 hours of Emma being unconscious.

"Elias, I'm getting worried, what's the problem?", her soft voice asked, almost making me lean into her.

Emma, intrigued and slightly apprehensive, looked at me again. "What is it, Elias? You seem... different. Is it about me? Is there something wrong with me?"

"Emma, there's something you should know," I began with a shaky voice.

"There's a world beyond what you've ever known or imagined—a world of supernaturals, werewolves, packs, a whole lot of other mystical creatures, and ancient traditions."

I took a deep breath and started to tell her all about the werewolf clan as a whole.

Elias stepped closer, his presence commanding attention. "I am the alpha, the leader of the Silver Crescent pack. But beyond that, I hold the title of the alpha king—a position that carries responsibilities not just for this pack but for werewolves across different territories."

Emma stayed silent for about 2 minutes looking straight at me like she was processing his words, and the gravity of the revelation was settling in. "And how does this involve me?" She first asked.

"You're not just human, Emma," Elias confessed, his gaze locked with hers. "You're one of us—a werewolf. We have strong reasons to believe you are fae as well, a faery-werewolf, to be precise."

"As an alpha, I am bound by duty to my pack and the werewolf community at large," Elias continued. "But with you, Emma, it goes beyond duty. There's a connection that binds us together. Your presence has awakened something within me, something I do not completely understand but also cannot ignore or walk away from."

She stayed quiet still looking at me.

Oh Moon Goddess please do not let her run away from me after this revelation. I looked towards the heavens and noticed the skies got darker. Looking back to Emma I frowned in confusion.

"Why are you not surprised? I'm wondering why you're not looking surprised or shocked."

Emma's POV

I took a deep breath and began to let go of things I have not once spoken about since it happened.

"In all honesty, I was not completely ignorant of this world. The first time I went to the clearing where I met you was before my mother died, I was 9 and I saw a person shift into a wolf from a distance. I wasn't entirely scared but I was extremely curious so I ran home to tell my mother about it. After mentioning it in a frenzy, the panic in her eyes was so evident, she told me I was seeing things and warned me never to go back there. I knew what I saw though but I didn't return there because my mother said I shouldn't. I never went back there until the week after she died when I went to cry my eyes out." I paused to look at him. His gaze was fixated on me.

"I did a lot of research to figure out if werewolves were actually real, I saw a lot of fantasy movies to understand the science behind it but these things don't actually give the reality. They just show what people would get entertained with. However, there was this article I stumbled upon a few years after my mum died, about a scientist that had captured a werewolf many decades back. He shot in the woods and took it home for further experiments. He probably kept it in a cage built specifically for it because he was able to hold it down. Apparently, he had been studying their species for years prior to that and knew just how to control them. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before the creature broke out and killed the man. The only luck he had was that he sent his study report to his editor every evening just before he went to bed. So the results of each experiment had already gotten to a second part before the researcher died."

"I think a large number of blogs refused to take up the study to post because of the nature of the topic which is why it was very hard for me to find it. At the end, it was an unknown blog that carried it, and it had not gotten up to 30 views at that time" I took a deep breath before continuing.

"That was when I realized that they actually did exist alongside other creatures, and some exist within humans. But I knew better, I could only assume how brutal the death of that researcher must have been so I knew to stay clear." He let out a low growl at my words. "But now Elias, you're telling me that I, Emerald Aliphronsto, am a werewolf? That's absurd, in all my nineteen years of age, I would have gotten an idea that I was not human if that were true but I didn't, at least not until you came into my life"

It kind of makes sense why he lives in such a large mansion. Pack houses were for almost all members of the pack.

"And I think my mother was Fae, not that she had fae blood in her" I said looking down from his eyes.

"What makes you say that?"

"I've seen her do strange things in private, at least when she thought she was alone. I've watched her move things without touching them, I've seen her do a whole lot of things that are not normal but I never questioned her. I was young and I grew up knowing that there are some things children don't have to know about. She grew strange herbs all around the house in the name of gardening, she never had anyone come over to visit her. She had an insane obsession for rocks and was a major collector of them but I swear I've seen her listen and speak to them. Elias, my mother wasn't human but I was too scared of that being a reality to admit it to myself." I ended as a tear dropped from the corner of my eyes before I could stop it.

"Was my mother really a faery?" I asked no one in particular, looking at the far moon. What else did you hide from me, mother?

"Emma, there's something else I haven't mentioned yet"

I looked up at him as panic filled me. More??

"You're my second chance mate"
