"A surprise? What could that be?" I asked almost inaudibly, but unknown to me, Sigil was quick to pick up what I had said.

He ran his hands over mine as he stared deeply into my eyeballs. "Valeria, look into my eyes genuinely. What do you see?"

Those words sent cold chills down my spine and I kept wondering what he meant by them.

He shot me a decisive glance, his eyes reprimanding. "Come on
