Adam's POV

I watched her eat; okay now it sounds creepy. She was a very quick eater, like me. I don't know why people wasted so much time on food. We had 2 rounds of beer, and from the looks of it, she is not even a little tipsy, though we drank a lot of beer, the glasses they gave us beer in were huge.

I went to the washroom and came out 5 min later she was gone. I asked one of the bartenders where she had gone and apparently she had paid for our meals and went out.

There she was leaning next to my car, I really wished she would put her hair down, I wanted to see how long it was; I was tempted to touch the crisps of fire. She wants to go somewhere else maybe, I am up for it. Anything is better than going back to that shitty useless Ball.

"I haven't let my wolf out, but since we have just eaten, after 30 min you wanna go for a run?", she requested; I remembered I haven't let my wolf out either. I was happy she didn't hate spending time with me. "Yeah sure, I haven't let mine out either, I know a place. It's a forest, I don't know if you will like it,'s it has got a lot of animals "she looked bored while I talked but as soon as the word animals rolled out of my tongue her maroon eyes lit up, "Really a lot of animals? I would love to, but what do we do for 30min, I am not going back to the Ball"

Well the Ball is for two hours and since she is staying in the castle her time is unlimited until tomorrow, just as I was about to speak my phone ran, I picked it up and heard a very scared voice "Hello who is this?"

"Ummm. Alpha Adam the kin-i mean your father has noticed that you have been gone, he wishes to see you immediately "it was a murmur, couldn't these people speak clearer, I don't kill them for making small mistakes, unlike my father. I was angry, here I was with Dawn, who I had somehow managed to her to agree with spending time with me.

"No, say him I am with my mate;(i whispered the mating part. I don't think she would have liked it)And since I am King, who' s orders will you follow mine or his?" I did want my people to trust me, my father doesn't trust me then why will the people.

"Yes my King, I will inform him "I hung up quickly, Dawn had her eyebrow raised at me giving me a questioning look. What the fuck did I do. I guess she heard me calling her mate. Of course you dumbass she's part wolf. Hearing duh

But if I win, I get to be in the leading pack. I will rule if I get the chance. Trust me if I want something I get it, If I win you will not be my mate if I lose interest in the whole ruling thing, you will still have your position, if you win, that's if you make me fall in love with you, which is basically impossible then I will be your mate, you will have to treat me with respect, have the same powers as you. I am pretty sure I looked like a fish opening and closing my mouth. It was a lot to take in. I scratched my chin and felt the prickling of new hairs that had formed on my jaw; I need to shave. I feel like she would help me, and since my position is still secured, she doesn't know that I will fight till my last breathe if needed. I have no idea what I am getting into "Deal ".I raised my hand and she was hesitant at first but then shook it.

I wasn't sure how, but both of us can lose equally. A lot of my power will be taken for granted if the people find out that there can be another leader just below me ready to take my place, well in this case snatch it away from me.

After I saw Dawn at the Ball, I told some warriors to research her, I will get to know everything once I return to the castle. I just couldn't let o of the position I have worked so hard to achieve. While my mind was in some other world, I hadn't noticed that Dawn had come up to me, "Let's go for a walk, come on "First her hand reached out to my wrist, something flashed in her mirror-like shiny eyes, she quickly moved away and started walking

I stuffed my phone in my pocket and jogged towards her. I thought of questions I should ask her, pack, siblings, age, element, wolf, family, education. I know nothing about her, yet this person who I have spent such little time with is making me feel things that I shouldn't and I don't want to either, but I can't help it. This is all her fault, her beautiful face, strong aura, fire-like red hair, and her spirit. She's the one to blame!

Make her fall in love with me, then she will be my mate. It's not I like her or something, but how hard can it be to make her fall in love with me. Having a mate gives you a lot of physical strength which I plan on building, plus if she becomes my mate, she will be Queen, I don't know why Queen has lesser powers than the king. But I can change that, that awful law where the males are supposed to punish their females for everything.

When I first met Dawn, I was high. Sadly on drugs, those guys whom I mistakenly called friends switched my cigars with some other shit. I don't even remember half the things I said to her that day.

"God, you walk like a sloth, get your ass here right now! "she was getting annoyed, she looked adorable. I chuckled and ran towards her, she's really fast. Let's just hope that she doesn't mess with my head
