C9 You Shouldn't Have Provoked Me from the Start!
At that moment, Juno was down to her undergarments, clutching her chest tightly as she knelt, trying to suppress the pain.
"Do you hate me that much? Despise me?" Zorin lifted her chin, his eyes brimming with anger and embarrassment, which only seemed to pique his interest further. His gaze turned excited as he let out a pleased chuckle, patting her cheek lightly. "Miss Fowler, save your little schemes. My prey only leaves after I'm done with them."
"You never should have messed with me in the first place, let alone try to charm another man under my nose."
Fury blazed in Juno's eyes. She abruptly swatted his hand away. "Enough! Zorin, are you not entertained yet?"
"Nobody forced you from the start! It was you who willingly slept with me! I never demanded a penny from you!" She pulled out a check from her coat pocket and slammed it onto the coffee table, her voice quivering with rage. "Director Slater, you're a man of status. You could have any clean woman you want. I'm just trying to earn a living. Why must you torment me?"
Zorin hadn't expected her to lose her composure so quickly, his eyebrows lifting in surprise, but his interest deepened nonetheless.
It was precisely this kind of spirit that he found entertaining, wasn't it?
"Since it's a meal you're after, what's wrong with me offering you one?" Zorin scoffed. "In business, you can't afford to be choosy."
She stood her ground, her voice cold and defiant. "I can choose to refuse Director Slater's meal."
"Do you really think you have that right?" Zorin's sneer grew as her rejection only fueled his interest. He spoke nonchalantly, "Juno? I haven't got your name wrong, have I? What if Galvorn University got wind of your... extracurricular activities? Think they'd expel you?"
Juno's eyes widened in shock, her voice breaking with anger. "You're despicable!"
"Miss Fowler, as a businessman, I can afford to buy anything I desire," Zorin said, his eyes locked on her with a chilling smile. "Including you."
Silence enveloped the room, punctuated only by Zorin's fingers rhythmically tapping on the coffee table, as if strategizing in a psychological battle, leaving Juno on tenterhooks.
She inhaled deeply, "Director Slater, please, I'm begging you to release me."
"Juno, you don't actually believe I developed feelings for you after sleeping with you, do you?" Zorin mocked her with a cold laugh. "Even a dog I've discarded isn't for others to claim, let alone a woman I've been with."
Juno had a grasp on his temperament and managed to keep her composure. She spoke evenly, "Director Slater, what's the point? Even if I am a woman you've been with, it's not like we've pledged eternal loyalty to each other after one encounter. You might as well discard me like an old piece of clothing."
"Hmm?" Zorin let out an abrupt laugh, clearing the items off the coffee table before yanking her onto it and pinning her down forcefully. His strong hands held her wrists above her head, immobilizing her.
Desperately trying to free herself, Juno exclaimed, "Zorin! Have you lost your mind?!"
"Shouldn't you have realized by now whether I'm insane or not?" The smile on Zorin's face grew more intense, his demeanor that of a debauched aristocrat, yet his voice carried an indescribable steadiness. "Miss Fowler, is this your way of tempting me? If once isn't enough, what about twice, three times, four...?"
