Ling Zhang didn't think that Yuwen Tong would forgive him after what he did was equivalent to betraying Yuwen Clan, but he was still unable to figure out Yuwen Tong's plan. What Yuwen Tong was unwilling to tell him was either that the plan was full of variables, or that the plan would be burdensome if he knew of it.

Since he couldn't figure it out, he chose to wait and see
