“Wait, your parents said all that?” Lou, a witch, asked with a single brow raised.

“Well, my mother was the one who said the initial words but my father on the other hand was so pissed off at me for going to the human world.” Lilith explained, ruffling her hair in frustration while releasing a deep breath.

“So to get this straight... You are forbidden from going to the human world.” It wasn't a question but a statement.

However, Lilith didn't like her friend's choice of words which resulted in her giving the girl a hard and scornful glare.

“I thought everyone here knows that I can't leave this world because my parents forbid it, right?” She frowned.

“Don't mind Lou, she always asks the wrong questions at the wrong time.” Delphine, a vampire, shook her head in disappointment.

“Excuse me, it wasn't a question. I was only saying my thoughts aloud. I'm sorry if that was offensive, Lily.” Lou apologized.

“Ew. Don't f**king call me that again. I am no f**king flower.” Lilith scrunched up her face in disgust, cringing at the thought of being called the name of a delicate flower.

“I thought you love flowers...” Lou pinched her brows together, staring at her closely.

“I love thorny and poisonous flowers and not the delicate ones.” She pointed out.

“Anyway, back to the discussion,” Calliope, a fairy, began, grabbing everyone's attention to herself. “Don't your parents know that yesterday wasn't your first time going to the human world?”

“Of course, they don't. Are you stupid?” Lilith retorted angrily. “Listen, I think you are all missing the point here,” She rose to her feet. “I didn't tell you girls what my mother said so that you can tell me what to do and whatnot. I just need reasons why they don't want me to go to the human world. Why exactly would my mother tell me that there are some secrets better left in the dark? What secrets to begin with? And why am I the only one forbidden to go to the human world? My half-siblings go there on a regular basis and the three of you go there as well. Why should my case be different?” She groaned.

“I think you are asking the wrong people these questions.” Lou muttered under her breath, hoping Lilith didn't hear her. But who was she kidding?

Lilith growled at her, her hazel eyes turning into a red color as she tried to lunge at Lou but Delphine courageously stepped in the way, preventing whatever was going to happen.

“Calm the f**k down, Lilith. We are your friends and you told us all this because you trust us, right?”

“I don't trust anybody,” Lilith replied, sitting back down on her chair and crossing her legs.

“Thanks for the honesty,” Delphine said sarcastically. “I think Lou is right. Although, she didn't put it in the right words.” She paused, checking to see if she had everyone's attention including that of Lilith. Turns out that she did. “Your parents are the only ones that can answer these questions. I mean, what do Lou, Calliope, and I know?”

Lilith cupped her forehead, resting her elbow on her thighs. “Yeah. You're right. But they are not saying anything. Remember my mother's words, “There are some secrets better left in the dark” Like come on!” She groaned louder almost pulling her hair out of her skull. “I hate feeling clueless.”

“No one likes that feeling of not knowing anything.” Calliope agreed. “Come to think of it, how did your parents know about it?”

Lilith balled her fist in fury her blood boiling to a hundred degrees. “A f**king teacher in this damn school tell on me. Can you imagine?”

“What!?” The girls gasped in shock.

“Which teacher will have the nerve to report you to the king?” Lou asked.

Lilith shrugged her shoulders. “How would I know? But trust me, I must get to the bottom of it. I will make sure to find the animal that dares to go against me.”

“We are solidly behind you, girl.” Delphine smirked.

A comfortable silence loomed in the air for a few moments before Calliope asked, breaking the iceberg.

“Does this mean you are going to quit going to the human world with us? Oh no. It's going to be so boring without you. You are the meanest, cruelest, merciless, heartless, and wicked one amongst us here.” She pouted.

“Who said anything about me quitting?” Lilith scoffed. “I will never stop going to the human world simply because there is a stupid damn ‘secret’ and even if there is, I will do whatever it takes to unveil it.” She spoke, standing up once again. “And now, let's go and hunt down the bastard that reported me to my father.”

Lou, Delphine, and Calliope rose up to their feet, having smiles on their faces.

“I love watching our victims get tortured,” Lou beamed.

“I love hearing the screams of pain from our victims,” Calliope added.

“I love watching their blood drain from their bodies,” Delphine laughed psychotically.

“And I love torturing, making them scream and draining their blood out of their body.” Lilith cackled and walked to the exit of the rooftop alongside her three best friends.
