C3 Medicine Saint's Inheritance

"Huh?"

"Lee Yifann, I said let's break up!"

As if struck by lightning, Lee Yifann was shocked. His mind went blank and the medical book fell to the ground. He was speechless.

After a long while, in a trembling voice he asked, "Why?"

"Really? You don't get it? I won't go to the countryside with you. I still have a good life waiting for me. We have no future," Zhao Ya said bitterly.

Lee Yifann was silent. Zhao Ya had now said everything out clearly, he wasn't stupid not to understand it.

She could nearly foresee the problems she would encounter and she would have no future. She was so afraid she would be implicated, and so she rather made a clean break with him.

Lee Yifann felt lost. He asked sadly, "The things you said before were just excuses?"

"As long as you understand what I mean." Zhao Ya said coldly, "Since I have made myself clear, don't contact me anymore!"

"Xiaoya, I'm going to go and plead with the Big Shot tomorrow. Perhaps, this matter may be reversed. Please don't leave me." Lee Yifann begged Zhao Ya sadly. He hoped Zhao Ya would not break up with him.

"There really isn't a point for us to stay together anymore. Begging is useless! That Big Shot really wants your life! Give up already! I have to break up with you! I don't want to waste my time and my life on someone like you!" Zhao Ya said heartlessly.

"I didn't hurt anyone, I was saving him! You've got to believe me! I'm telling you the truth!"

Lee Yifann still wanted to be with her, but Zhao Ya interrupted him and cruelly said, "I won't say it again. Please don't bother me in the future. I have a boyfriend now and he is Young Master Qin! Goodbye!"

There was a sound.

His phone fell to the floor. Lee Yifan was dumbfounded. It was one bad thing after another. He couldn't accept the sudden break up.

After a moment, he got over the sadness but replaced it with rage and despair. He smashed the bottles and jars on the table into pieces.

There was an another sound.

The strong force even knocked him down. His head fell to the ground first, the glass fragments on the floor pierced into his body.

"What did I do wrong?" Despair overwhelmed him. He tried hard to hold his tears back.

"I do really love her, but she just threw me away like rubbish as if our relationship meant nothing."

There was an old saying that like birds in one grove are a husband and wife, but they each fly away at the end of their life. In the past, he didn't believe it. He thought when couples were in trouble, they would support and help each other.

He was very naive.

Since he was young, he and his grandfather had always relied on each other. He didn't know his biological parents. People would tease and mock him for not having any parents since a young age.

He was strong minded. From a young child, he had always worked hard to prove himself. Then he got in the Medical University and earned himself an honor.

He then met Zhao Ya and fell in love with her. Thinking she was the one who he would be spending the rest of his life with, he told her everything about himself.

He didn't think she would break up with him for offending a powerful man.

She had no hesitation for leaving him purely because his future was bleak!

Love are so fragile when facing reality!

"Grandfather, I've been unfilial. I'm sorry." He closed his eyes and wanted to end his life.

If he had to live without integrity, he would rather die.

At this very moment, the table that was about to collapse suddenly moved and smashed him.

There was a sound again.

His head took a blow from the table.

Feeling a sharp pain in his head, Lee Yifann fainted.

While Lee Yifann blacked out, he felt he was dreaming. It was a very long dream.

In the dream, he was walking in this mysterious place while his whole body was surrounded by a golden light. This place was very foggy. He wasn't able to see anything clearly.

He walked up a flight of stairs that stretched far into the distance. At the end of the stairs stood a very noble Taoist priest wearing a golden robe.

Swords and needles were floating in front of the Taoist priest.

"I had once predicted Doctor Tao would decline in six hundred years. From today onwards, you will be my successor. You will inherit my legacy and practice the Spell Techniques and Doctor Tao. You must remember you will bear all the heavy responsibilities of restoring Doctor Tao. You will seek the justice and eliminate the wrongs of the world as your responsibility!"

The stairs leading to the heavens continued to stretch further but disappeared at the end of the vast horizon. The Taoist also disappeared.

In the gray cloudy space, a wave of mist surged and congregated in Lee Yifann's mind. There was a lot of information that instantly appeared in his mind.

He woke up the next morning from his blackout.

"Owww... My head hurts!" He slightly shook his aching head and sat up from lying on the ground. The aftermath in front of him shocked him.

His dormitory was an absolute mess. Pieces of glass were all over the floor and the table was flipped. There was even some blood on the floor.

He immediately remembered what had happened last night. His mouth wide opened in shock, "Oh god! What did I do yesterday?"

As he was thinking about this, his head immediately began to spasm in pain. The pain was so intense, he tried to gasp for air. Instantly, he saw countless information pieces in his mind that he had never seen or heard of before.

He saw a lot of information, for example, Power of Karmas, Practice medicine and Seek Tao, Help the People by Practicing Medicine, Cultivate Tao, Establish sects and Receive Disciples. He was dumbfounded.

"Am I still dreaming?" He pinched his arm to see if it hurts.

He definitely felt the pain.

This was real, he wasn't dreaming.

He carefully looked at his body and was surprised to find there were no traces of scratches or wounds on his body. He looked at the mirror and found no cut on his forehead.

He clearly remembered the broken glass pierced his forehead. He was knocked unconscious by the table. He even remembered he lost a lot of blood last night.

He immediately got up from the ground and started jumping a few times. His body didn't seem to show any abnormalities.

He was a bit stupefied. Even if he was still dreaming, this was too unreal.

He picked up the table and started to sort out and arranged his things back on the table. He then realised, his medical book was missing.

"Where have my medical book gone to? That's the family heirloom grandpa left for me. I can't lose it!" His expression changed, and he quickly searched everywhere in his dormitory. However, after searching for a long time, he wasn't able to find his medical book anywhere.

Strangely, he somehow found it towards the end. The whole contents of the medical book was in his mind already.

"How is this possible?" He then realised he could see the slight image of his brain. Although it was gray, in the middle of his brain shone a ray of light.

The ray of light was actually the medical book.

"Why am I seeing the medical book in my brain? How can this be? What should I do?" He was worried if his grandfather asked him, he didn't know how to respond.

While he was thinking about how to take out the medical book, the medical book suddenly appeared in his hand.

"That's great, I took out the medical book." He was overjoyed but at the same time, he frowned.

He hesitated after few seconds then tried to put the book back in his mind, "Withdraw."

Then the book disappeared from his hand in a bright light.

He tried this a few times and was finally convinced he could take out and put back the book in his mind. This would mean those other information he saw in his mind was really there.

He still needed convincing so he looked for the Medical Saint Scripture in his mind and focussed his breathing. After that, he felt a surge of airflow in his body. This airflow went through his body. He immediately felt refreshed and he became more energetic and lively.

"Oh wow! This is great! It's really real, I'm not dreaming!"

According to the memory of the Inheritance, Lee Yifann learnt this medical book was the key to opening the Medical Sage Inheritance. It seems using fresh blood was the way to activate it.

That would be obvious he was injured and bled last night. The blood flowing out from his forehead must have somehow touched his medical book and he was able to activate the powerful Inheritance in the medical book.

He was extremely excited as he took the medical book out from his mind and opened it. The pages in the book were no longer old and yellow, instead it was the color of a green jade. Every word on it seemed to be alive. Each sentence he struggled to understand before did not seem too difficult anymore.

"Wow! It turns out my family's ancestors were descendants of the Medical Sage. This is a surprise," Lee Yifann said feeling both excited and emotional.

The brilliant ancestor's knowledge of the past was now about to be lost in his grandfather's generation. They couldn't even maintain the small clinic right now. The Inheritance was about to be lost forever.

Yesterday, he wanted to end his life in despair but he didn't expect the heavens wouldn't let him. Without even realising it, he had unexpectedly obtained the Medical Sage's Inheritance. The heaviness that he felt in his heart had vanished, leaving behind only an unprecedented excitement.

Since it was still early, he tidied up the rest of his room. Once he finished, he sat near the bed and started to meditate and cultivate the Medical Saint Scripture.

Although he had obtained such a powerful Inheritance, he didn't understand the practice at all. He could only start studying from the beginning. Fortunately, some of the memories this Medical Sage had given Lee Yifann were filled with the experiences and insights he had acquired during his previous practice.

With these insights, Lee Yifann now understood the practice and was no longer confused.
