C2 Chapter 2

Amara's POV

After Marco disappeared from my sight, I got up and wrapped a blanket around my body. The pain I felt made me walk unsteadily. I got off the bed and picked up my clothes. I could see traces of blood on the white sheet, blood stains that might be evidence of my lost virginity.

"Oh, Moon Goddess, why is my fate so cruel? I never imagined losing my innocence like this."

I put on my clothes again. With cautious steps, I sneaked out of the hotel room that was unguarded by Beta, who was assigned by Alpha Marco to watch over me.

I looked disheveled, with torn clothes and bruises on my face from the harsh slap. As I stepped out of the elevator and onto the ground floor, several pairs of eyes glanced at me while looking down. I saw one by one the faces of my friends who allowed me to experience this cruel ordeal. I saw Jordan's pale and fearful face. I could be certain that Jordan remained silent when Alpha treated me so cruelly.

"I'm sorry..." he whispered softly.

Jordan, who was just an Omega of the Welray Moon Pack, always obeyed the orders and desires of the arrogant Alpha Marco.

I ignored his words. Although an apology might not be enough to redeem my pain, Jordan was not to blame. Of course, I had become the target of Marco's 'heat' satisfaction for these past few days.

I quickly left the hotel that became the gateway to my life's destruction. I saw my stepsister's old motorcycle parked near the hotel gate.

"Hurry, Amara! I've been waiting for you!" called Alex, waving his hand.

I wiped away the traces of tears on my cheeks. When I stood in front of my stepsister, Alex stared at me with wide eyes.

"What happened to you? Why do you look like you've..." he paused and pointed at me.

I just nodded softly. I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. I hugged Alex and cried on his chest.

"Amara is stained, Sis. Forgive Amara for not being able to protect our family's honor!" I whispered.

"Who did all of this? Quickly tell me!" he demanded firmly.

I simply shook my head. There was no way I could honestly reveal everything. My family was just lowly Omegas of the Red Moon Pack. My father, Matius, was a former Alpha of the Red Moon Pack who was ousted due to power and wealth manipulation by Uncle Samuel, my own uncle.

"Fine, if you refuse to say, Amara. But I can't defend you in front of Mother!" he asserted.

Alex and I rode the old motorcycle towards my small house on the outskirts of town. My father, Matius, became a stray, and we lived a simple life.

"Alex, please don't say anything to Dad! I don't want his pain to worsen," I pleaded.

"I can't promise that," Alex replied flatly.

Throughout the journey home, I could only resign myself to accept all the risks that I would bear. One thing was certain, I was not guilty, and I was the victim.

After a few minutes, we arrived in front of the gate of the old, neglected house. I got off Alex's motorcycle and went straight in, passing by my stepsister.

"I'm going first, I have plans with a friend!" Alex exclaimed, waving goodbye.

I could only wave back. With a sense of uneasiness, I slowly opened the door. As I entered the house, I saw Mother Brenda laughing heartily while holding a large sum of money. There were also stacks of money on the living room table of our house.

"W-where did all this money come from, Mom?" I asked, approaching the table and sitting in the chair next to her.

"What's your business? You only know how to make our mother worried," he snapped, staring at me in horror.

When mother looked at me and we made direct eye contact, she widened her eyes with her mouth agape.

"Why are you in such a mess? You look like you just..." Mother's words halted as her index finger pointed right in front of my face.

"What did you do?" my father continued, appearing from behind his bedroom door and sitting in his wheelchair.

I couldn't deny it anymore, after they found evidence from the condition of my clothes and my disheveled state, like a woman who had just been forced.

I couldn't hold back my tears. I immediately rose from my seat and fell to the ground in front of my father. "Forgive me, Father! Amara has been tainted by that cruel alpha. Amara couldn't do anything!" I shouted at my father, gripping onto his legs.

However, the only response I received was my father pushing me backward, causing me to fall. I could hear faint laughter from my stepmother and stepsiblings. Meanwhile, my mother remained calm, holding and counting the money she had.

"Where did mother get that much money, I wonder..." I was shocked by this bitter reality.

"Why are you looking at me like that, Amara! Do you want this money?" my mother asked with a disdainful gaze.

"Did mother sell me to Mr. Marco? Is that my fault, Mom? How could you be so heartless!"

"You daring child, how dare you accuse your mother like that? I found this money on the street, don't make baseless accusations against me!" she explained, glaring at me.

"But, Mom, Alpha Marco said that I was bought. You can't deny it anymore, and no one would throw away that much money!" I protested, lowering my head.

"That's a very grave accusation, dear. Just quickly throw away this cheap girl!" Wilona added, immediately dragging me out of the house.

I could only cry as my father couldn't do anything. I regarded him as a hero in my life, but he just sat there in his wheelchair, silent.

"Father..." I whispered for the last time. I could see the dam of tears ready to burst from the middle-aged man's eyelids.

I woke up and stood there, staring at the door of the old house. Briefly, memories neatly stored in that house flashed through my mind, where this house became a silent witness to happy memories when I was still a child.

"Goodbye, Father. Amara will never forget you. Amara loves you!" I said, wiping away the tears that wet my cheeks.

I turned around and walked away. I walked along the quiet streets, feeling a bit scared. As I started to distance myself from my home area, in the distance I saw a luxurious car speeding towards me. I could see that the car was so familiar in my memory. Suddenly, I was startled by the realization that the car belonged to Alpha Marco.

"I have to go. I don't want to be a breeder for that disgusting Marco!" I said harshly, then I ran away from that place.

I ran until I reached near the bridge, where a strong river flowed beneath it.

"Hey, don't go!" someone shouted from behind me.

I recognized the voice, it was none other than Beta Valentino's voice.

I thought for a moment, then quickly ran and jumped off the bridge. I heard the sound of something falling into the water, and it was me. I drowned in the water.

"Damn, she's gone. We have to report this to Alpha Marco, and we have to be prepared to face the consequences of losing that woman!" Valentino grumbled from above.

I could still faintly hear the voices of the omegas and Beta Valentino, who were Alpha Marco's henchmen up there. It wouldn't be long before the Welray Moon Pack would be in an uproar over my disappearance, something they couldn't bring back into the pack.

After swallowing a lot of water, I finally lost consciousness. When I opened my eyes and looked around, I realized that I was on a large cruise ship, and there was an old man sitting next to me.

As I blinked my eyes, the old man gave a slight smile.

"You're finally awake. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Lilac, and this is my ship!" he said, reaching out his hand for a handshake.

I smiled sweetly and shook hands with this stranger, while my eyes glanced around the ship. There was no one else on this ship except for me and Lilac, this old man. He seemed older than my father.

"Thank you for your help, Sir. Where is this ship heading?" I asked.

He smiled, stood up, and said, "We're heading to the port city of Liberia. We'll be far away from Australia, where you come from. I'm sure you wanted to leave home, right?" he asked, looking at me and stroking his gray mustache.

I just nodded gently and turned my face to the side. The beautiful night with the scattered stars above made me silent. However, my eyes briefly glanced that this old man was not a wolf from any pack. I didn't smell the scent of a werewolf from him, but I smelled the scent of fresh blood that made my wolf soul restless. As I looked back at the night sky, I faintly heard a voice from above.

"Your curse will be lifted if you can bite this pure man. He is a man who has never been involved in the darkness of the world. He is destined to be the one who paves your way back and possesses the inner wolf that has been missing from you all this time," the voice echoed in my ears.

I flinched and bit my lower lip. I couldn't be so cruel as to turn this pure human into a werewolf like me. He is a pure human, and I am not selfish enough to only think about my own interests.

I sat down and looked at the twinkling lights ahead. The ship was getting closer to the port, and I scanned my surroundings. However, I found something strange ahead.

"Who are they?" I said, focusing my gaze.
