C5 Chapter 5

Amara's POV

After going through a long childbirth process, I could see my four twin babies with bright and radiant faces. Tonight, I was accompanied by my father who had been so helpful. With joy, Lilac's father cradled each of his grandchildren one by one.

"Amara, this is such a tremendous miracle for your father. I never imagined I could have four grandchildren at once," he exclaimed with a beaming face, radiating his happiness.

But as I turned to my left, Doctor Arkan sitting on the couch scratched his head with a perplexed expression.

"What's wrong, doctor?" I asked, looking at him and raising my eyebrows.

"Amara, I really saw something strange with your three twin daughters. But..." Arkan stopped his words, clearly struggling with his own logic.

However, I responded with a smile, doubting his vision, "Don't take it too seriously, Doctor Arkan. I'm sure you're just tired, so you easily see things that are beyond the ordinary!" I explained.

After feeling my body light and healthy again, I asked my father to go home for the night. "Father, Amara doesn't want to stay in the hospital. Let's just go home!" I pleaded, with a hint of playfulness.

My father approached the stretcher and gently held my hand. "Is your body feeling better? If you no longer feel any pain, I will grant your request!"

I nodded softly, indicating that my thin body was strong and healthy again. Seeing that, my father agreed.

That night, me and my four twin babies went home to a simple mansion near the hill, a secluded place far from the city. The mansion looked grand and more luxurious than the surrounding houses.

At exactly 9 PM, we arrived at the mansion with faces full of joy. I cradled one of my sweetest daughters, with chubby cheeks that resembled steamed buns, clearly inherited from her mother's face shape.

The next day...

"Darling, do you already have names for these four twin babies of yours?" my father suddenly asked, surprising me.

I was enjoying the view of a small hill with the sun rising behind it, and immediately turned and held my chest.

"Father, you always manage to startle me. I was admiring the sunrise and looking at the adorable faces of these four little babies!" I explained, pointing at the four twin babies standing in front of me.

My father approached the four babies and cradled my eldest son, lifting him up in the air. "I'm giving this little hero the name Felix Harry Walleatmosu," my father announced loudly.

I could only nod in agreement, my father looked at me with a bright smile. "You can give names to your three daughters!" my father said as he put down my eldest son and left.

Before completely disappearing from my sight, my father shouted again. "I have a business meeting with a client in Australia, take care of yourself!" he warned.

I simply responded as usual, as it was normal for my father to have many business dealings in Australia, the country of my birth.

That day, I took care of and fed my four babies. I also gave them beautiful names for my three daughters. My son's name is Felix, and my three daughters are named Felisia, Alisa, and Alice.

In the evening, while I was putting my four twin babies to sleep, exhaustion finally made me fall asleep beside them. However, a tragic incident happened to my father's private jet. Zion informed me that the plane had crashed. I was shocked when Zion told me about it after I woke up in the middle of the night.

"Zion, is that true?" I asked to make sure.

But Zion only responded with a sad nod.

I covered my mouth in disbelief. Just this morning, my father was still talking to me and giving a beautiful name to my eldest baby.

I slumped weakly, feeling like this was all a dream, but I had to stay strong in facing this bitter reality. I couldn't say anything else, just silently waiting for my father's remains to be returned.

"Father..." I whispered, mourning and reminiscing about those memories. Although the time I spent with my father was very short, I loved him more than my biological father.

The time came for me to attend Lilac's father's funeral. I could only gaze at his body inside the casket. The smile I saw that morning now only remained as a pale face. "Father, may you find happiness in another life," I said as a farewell.

After the procession was over, I returned to the mansion accompanied by Zion, who always stood by my side. This human man looked devastated by the loss of my father. With a sad face, Zion still managed to give me an important document he kept in his room.

"Miss Amara, I am responsible for always being by your side. Whatever happens, this document contains all the wealth that Mr. Lilac has bequeathed to your four babies!" Zion explained very clearly and in detail.

I could only stay silent. This wealth is not my goal, and I do not desire it either. But the immense trust that my adopted father placed in me made me have to be strong and confident that I can make him proud.

Days passed quickly. My children grew into adorable little ones. However, the four twin children have very different traits and attitudes. By the time they reached the age of 5, their development surpassed children of their age.

Felix, the eldest son, with his arrogant demeanor, expressionless face, and charming features, his handsomeness greatly inherited from the cruel and emotionless man like Marco, the Alpha of the Welray Moon Pack whom I despise the most in the world.

Felisia, my second child, with her spoiled and easily crying attitude, makes her become the plaything of her older brother and younger siblings. However, the emotional bond between them allows them to always look after and protect each other, even though they are very young.

Alisa, my third child, with her fierce and assertive nature, her strong-willed attitude always makes her want to organize her three siblings. I really appreciate her protective nature towards her three siblings and also towards me.

Alice, my youngest child, is shy. She is so shy that Alice often hides under the table when the teacher in kindergarten enters the classroom. I am intrigued by this particular daughter of mine, wondering whose traits she inherited.

I am so happy with this life far away from the residential area in Japan. It makes me feel comfortable with its beautiful and calming atmosphere. I have taught many things to the four twin children, who have not yet experienced the strong energy within them until now.

These four babies do not know the secret of their lives as descendants of the wolf clan. I cannot reveal this to them while they are still young. The time will come when they will learn about their clan origins.

One morning...

"Mom, why are you daydreaming?" Felix asked while sitting next to me with a book in his hands.

I turned and ruffled his hair. With a hint of mischief, I messed up his neatly arranged hair.

"Moooom..." he shouted at me.

My son doesn't like it when someone ruins his appearance. Anyone who does that will get a punch, except for me and his three siblings.

Felix fixed his hair again and put down the book he was holding. However, when I read the title of the book he was reading, I was surprised and didn't expect it. This little boy was reading a novel book about the story of the wolf king. I asked him about this curiosity.

"Felix, my dear, you're still a child. Why are you reading such a complicated book?" I asked.

Felix took the book again and showed it to me. "Mom, this book is really interesting to me. I even like the arrogant wolf king!" Felix explained with excitement.

I could only hold my chest, hoping that they wouldn't be shocked when they find out the secret of the wolf clan.

Today, I was busy with office matters, the factory, and some other businesses. Even though it was already midnight, I stayed in front of my laptop. Occasionally, I glanced over and saw the four little angels sleeping soundly on my bed.

However, I don't know since when, this stubborn and unmanageable one got off the bed and stood behind me.

"Mom, don't work too hard for too long. Go to sleep, and Felix will handle all your work," this handsome little boy said to me.

I felt so special. A child his age could understand his mother's difficulties and well-being.

"Darling, Mom hasn't finished yet, and this has to be done tonight!" I replied while looking back at the laptop screen in front of me.

"Enough, Mom. Just trust Felix. I'll finish it in a matter of minutes!" he insisted.

I couldn't refuse the request of Felix, my eldest son. He was so stubborn and couldn't be denied, even in a gentle way.

I then got up from the sofa in my room and stood next to him, allowing my son to sit and do my work that night.

As Felix sat arrogantly, I could only hold back my laughter, seeing a 5-year-old child proudly doing the work of an adult. As I tried to suppress my laughter.

"Mom, don't underestimate your son. I can do anything that you would never imagine!" he said in a flat and cold tone.

I could only give a thumbs up, then turned around and walked towards the bed where my three daughters were still sleeping soundly. I then lay down, my body exhausted. Suddenly, I could see a shadow of someone outside my bedroom door.

I went down and approached the mysterious person who was still leaning against the doorframe of my room. "Zion, what are you doing there?" I asked as I approached him.

Zion looked startled, he lowered his head and answered, "I was observing the strong and attentive attitude of young master Felix, madam. It reminded me of the message left by the late Mr. Lilac before he passed away," he explained without looking at me.

I asked him again, "What was my father's message? Please explain it to me!"

"Master instructed me to always accompany you, as well as young master and the three young ladies. The message is still vivid in my memory. He said that someday young master Felix will become a CEO who is even more famous than himself, and Felix will grow Lilac Company," Zion explained in detail.

I couldn't believe what Zion was saying. It was incredible that there was someone who understood me and my four twin children so well. A longing for my father was expressed in my heart.

After Zion left my sight, I turned and looked at Felix who was still diligently doing the work of an adult with a serious face. Often, at kindergarten, they couldn't believe the abilities of a child his age, so genius, surpassing teenagers. Since he was little, Felix always read books about business and learned about the digital world.

Felix turned and looked at me sharply. Surely that was the code from that little wannabe-adult to tell me to rest immediately and accompany his three siblings to sleep. I responded to that gaze by winking one of my eyes. He then scooted down from the sofa using his stomach.

"Mom, come in quickly! Otherwise, you might catch a cold," he scolded me while putting his hands on his waist.

"Well... alright, my hero. Mom can't argue with the young master!" I replied in a joking tone. But Felix became more protective of me. This gangly kid took my hand and led me to bed.

"Go to sleep!" he demanded in a slightly loud and firm tone, as if reminding me of that cruel alpha.

"Alright, dear. Mom will sleep. You should sleep too! Tomorrow, Mom will finish that work at the office!" I explained to him.

"Don't argue, Mom. Your big brother is the bossy one. We should just go to sleep!" Alice interjected, immediately changing her sleeping position to face me. Not forgetting, this shy girl wrapped her right arm around my waist.

"Okay, I'll sleep too!" said Felix, who immediately climbed onto the bed. He always paid so much attention to his three siblings. That kid slept on the outermost side of the bed to protect his siblings from falling.

It didn't take long for all four of them to fall into a deep sleep. I lay my head down, trying to close my eyes. I couldn't deny that when there was a great responsibility, I had to bear it all by myself.

The next day...

This morning, I was so busy with the demands of work that was pressing on my time, where I had to split my time to manage three big companies in three developed countries.

"Mom, finish your food quickly. Otherwise, you might get sick!" Alisa scolded me loudly while giving me a stern look.

I am indeed very busy today, I can't just focus on my food alone. For me, the company is so important.

"Sorry, ma'am, there's something important we need to discuss!" Zion interjected with a puzzled expression.

I could sense that Zion was currently in confusion. I wondered what else could be happening with the parent company.

"Zion, don't disturb my mother's breakfast. Give her 10 minutes!" Felix chimed in, staring at Zion with a terrifying glare. I could even see a golden glow emanating from his eyes.

Zion immediately bowed and excused himself from the dining table, leaving me in dilemma. I didn't want the tightly kept secret to be revealed before its time.

After finishing breakfast this morning, I asked Zion to take my four little children to school. "Zion, take them there quickly, I'm afraid they'll be late!" I requested.

"Alright, ma'am!" he replied, immediately following behind my four little children to school.

Today, I went to the office with another bodyguard. I was so busy dealing with the issues that arose in the parent company in Australia. I asked Zion to go to the branch office immediately. After Zion arrived at the door of my office.

"Sorry, ma'am, may I come in!" Zion said outside the door.

"Come in!" I responded.

Zion opened the door and stood right in front of my desk. "What's happening, Zion? How could there be such a large embezzlement of company funds? Are they underestimating me?" I asked Zion in a harsher tone than usual.

"I-I'm sorry, ma'am, they might not see you as that powerful. I believe there's a mastermind behind all of this," Zion said.

I, who have already been hit hard by the situation, am no longer the weak Amara from before. I won't allow myself to be stepped on like I was six years ago.

"I believe someone played a significant role in the destruction of the parent company because I received information about a rival company that is eager to take over Lilac Company's shares," Zion explained, revealing the information he had received from his subordinates in Australia.

"That means I have to go to Australia immediately, Zion. And that's what I hate the most," I said with a sense of anxiety. I pondered what would happen in Australia.

One week later...

I prepared to wake up my three daughters who were still sound asleep in one of the rooms on my private plane, while Felix was busy staring out the window.

"Mom, this is Felix's first time on a plane. The view from above Australia is so beautiful, Felix loves it, Mom!" the child exclaimed, admiring his home country.

The plane had now landed at Melbourne Airport. I quickly got up from my seat to wake up my three twin daughters. But Felix stopped me by holding my left hand.

"It's alright, Mom, let Felix wake up his younger siblings!" he said.

"Yes, thank you, sweetheart!" I said.

"You're welcome, Mom," he replied.

Felix then woke up his three siblings, while Zion and some of his subordinates were preparing us to disembark from the plane. Shortly after, Felix led the way with his three siblings trailing behind.

"Let's go, Mom, Felisia can't wait to explore Australia."

"Me too, Mom, Alice wants to visit places with lots of ice cream!" Alice added, holding onto my right thigh.

I gently stroked the face of my youngest daughter, Alice. She was the youngest, but also the chubbiest among her siblings.

The five of us disembarked from the plane, and as we walked out of the airport, many eyes gazed at us in admiration. I stood behind my four twin children, wearing brown sunglasses, while Felix wore his sunglasses and my three daughters wore sunglasses matching their outfits, which were white.

As usual, Felix took the lead, his demeanor cold and stoic with no smile on his face. Meanwhile, my three twin daughters waved playfully.

Without saying much, people took photos of us. I didn't mind it. Many people admired my four twin children wherever they went. But something caught my attention when I crossed paths with someone.

"Damn..." I cursed under my breath as I put on the mask I had been holding.
