C19 Being Followed
When Gu Yuan arrived, it was still early, so she strolled through the entire food street, familiarizing herself with the layout to avoid getting lost later.
As the agreed time approached, Gu Yuan noticed a luxury car pulling up across from her. A pair of shiny leather shoes stepped out of the black Bentley, revealing long, straight legs.
Gu Yuan took a bite of the meat pie she had just bought from a nearby stall, her gaze slowly moving up from his legs to his strikingly handsome face.
Several girls nearby, upon seeing Yuu Jin's face, couldn't contain their excitement, stamping their feet eagerly as if they wanted to rush over and ask for his contact information.
Seeing this, Gu Yuan suddenly had a mischievous idea. She walked up with a smirk, tapped Yuu Jin on the shoulder, and said in an exaggerated tone, "What took you so long? I've been waiting forever."
Yuu Jin glanced at his wrist, showing off the expensive Patek Philippe watch he wore. "Right on time, not late. But I apologize for keeping a lady waiting..."
"No worries, you can make it up to me with dinner next time," Gu Yuan replied with a wink.
Yuu Jin wasn't naive; he knew Gu Yuan was teasing him. Still, he played along and nodded, "I'd be delighted."
The girls who had been eyeing Yuu Jin lost interest when they saw he had a girlfriend. They pouted and walked away.
"Mr. Yuu, how do you find this place? If it's not to your liking, we can switch to a more upscale restaurant," Gu Yuan offered, though she enjoyed the atmosphere here, she wanted to make sure he was comfortable.
Yuu Jin remained composed, unfazed by the bustling street scene. He was here to make amends, and since Gu Yuan had chosen the spot, he couldn't just leave if he didn't like it.
"No need, it's quite lively here," he replied, his gaze resting on Gu Yuan, his voice cool and calm. "Where would you like to eat, Miss Gu?"
Gu Yuan swallowed the last bite of her meat pie and smiled thoughtfully. "I'll take you somewhere interesting." With that, she casually slipped her hands into her pockets and led the way.
Gu Yuan knew Yuu Jin had a sensitive stomach and couldn't handle the spicy street food. Fortunately, she had asked the driver for recommendations beforehand and found a unique restaurant.
"Sir, this place looks a bit rundown, and given your health, maybe you should ask Miss Gu to choose somewhere else," the bodyguard suggested worriedly from the side.
Yuu Jin watched her retreating figure, tilting his chin slightly, and said coolly to the bodyguard, "This isn't your concern. Stay here and don't follow me."
The bodyguard quickly replied, "Sir, Mr. Yuu said you shouldn't be alone outside. It's too dangerous."
Yuu Jin's expression turned cold, a shadow passing through his eyes. "Shut up. Don't make me repeat myself."
The bodyguard broke into a cold sweat, immediately falling silent and standing obediently to the side.
With long strides, Yuu Jin quickly caught up with Gu Yuan, walking alongside her.
Halfway through, Gu Yuan suddenly stopped, a bold smile playing on her lips as if she had discovered something amusing.
Seeing her stop, Yuu Jin thought they had arrived at their destination and was about to speak when Gu Yuan's deliberately lowered voice reached him, "We've got a little tail behind us. Don't look back. I'm not sure how many there are."
