C2 Missing Me in My Life
In her past life, Gu Yuan was destined for greatness, possessing a rare combination of talents: she was a master of astronomy and geography, could read fortunes, had exceptional medical skills, and was one of the few skilled in the ancient art of runes. Such brilliance, however, came at a cost. Her extraordinary talents drew envy and led to her untimely demise in a tragic betrayal. But fate granted her a second chance at life.
Gu Yuan looked at the man with interest. "Excuse me, sir, do you have a girlfriend? If not, would you mind having one?"
Her boldness left everyone in the interview room stunned, including the man she addressed, who raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"Young Master Yuu, she's just joking," the director sitting next to Yuu Jin quickly interjected, trying to smooth things over. He awkwardly laughed, signaling to Gu Yuan to ease up.
Gu Yuan noticed the director's look but wasn't about to let such an opportunity slip by. "I'm not joking. My confession is sincere," she said with a charming smile, as if to assure Yuu Jin of her seriousness.
The director regretted ever agreeing to Qiao Xi's request to bring this whirlwind into the mix.
Gu Yuan wasn't really interested in dating him; it was just that the aura of death around him was incredibly enticing, even more so than his looks.
"Do we know each other?" Yuu Jin's long, delicate eyelashes fluttered slightly. His slender, pale fingers rested on the wooden table in front of him. His cool lips parted just enough to let a detached, indifferent question slip out.
"We'll be seeing each other often," Gu Yuan hinted with a slight smirk, deliberately stepping forward. She reached out and, catching him off guard, lightly touched the corner of his lips. "Maybe even more than that."
The crew and the director were stunned by Gu Yuan's bold move. This was Young Master Yuu, the notorious figure of A City, and she dared to pull such a lowbrow stunt on him. Her shamelessness in trying to climb the social ladder was appalling.
Despite their anger, they couldn't help but be shocked. Only someone like Gu Yuan would dare to do such a thing, so they all waited to see how Young Master Yuu would retaliate.
Yuu Jin's brow twitched, and he felt a rush of blood, but noticed that the tightness in his chest had eased considerably. He was slightly surprised, and then a clear voice rang in his ear, "Feeling a bit better now?"
Yuu Jin's heart skipped a beat. Only his family and a few close friends knew about his condition. He'd been sitting there for nearly half an hour, and no one noticed his discomfort. How did she figure it out?
He lifted his gaze to Gu Yuan, his cool, indifferent eyes tinged with curiosity.
Gu Yuan showed no fear of his stare; instead, she leaned in closer, whispering in his ear so only the two of them could hear, "Mr. Yuu, you don't look like you have much time left, but there's still a way out. After all, your lifeline is right in front of you."
Yuu Jin couldn't help but let out a cold laugh at her words. "Do you realize how poor your attempts at sweet-talking are?"
His disdain was obvious; he clearly didn't believe her nonsense.
The director, sitting nearby, was on the verge of tears, wishing this drama would end.
"Ahem... Gu Yuan, why don't you start the audition? We can discuss this later," the director said, quickly standing up and handing Gu Yuan the script, eager to put an end to her antics.
