C12 Confrontation part 1

"sister Evie let's buy more vegetable for my mother " a young feminine voice said looking at the lady beside her .

Evie looked suspiciously at the young lady beside her ,"Janet did your uncle send money for your mother's treatment " ?

Janet smiled "no, sister Evie my uncle had not contacted us yet "

" i gave you 10 penny yesterday ,for aunt's drugs , did you....." Evie paused "did the lazymagistrate lend you money " Evie asked.

The smile on Janet's face dropped "no he didn't , he is too stingy to do such a thing , i met a council man ,he had given me two gold coins ,yesterday "

"council man ?"when was the last time a council man came to hallthom ?" Evie wondered then the picture of Lucas came to her mind 'was it him ' "what does he look like ?"

Janet looked suspiciously at Evie why does she care ? " he is tall and handsome and a vampire "

It was definitely him , she never knew he liked younger ladies , that's why he rejected her tea offer , Evie took a deep breath .

They bought the vegetable and were on their way home ,when Evie heard a shocking news .

"the magistrate was murdered ,last night in his office his body was discovered this morning ,they said he had his tongue in his hand " a lady said attracting attention to her , Evie who heard this turned to look at Janet , she looked horrific her hands shook her face turned pale , 'murdered '? was the word that kept repeating in her mind , she had wanted to torture the man but she never wished to kill some one .

Evie took her somewhere away from the market they went to a lonely alley , "did the council man try to harm you " ?

Janet shook her head a line of tears dropped from her eyes , "he saved me , i ....i...."

"Janet what happened at the magistrate office yesterday ?" Evie asked confusely .

"i promised not to tell "

"promised who not to tell " Evie asked her eyes twisting a little

"the council man was too kind to me i can't betray him " Janet said standing her ground .

Evie frowned " in that case if the death of the magistrate is investigated and you are found guilty , don't call me for help "

"sister Evie , i am ashamed of what happened there " Janet said as more tears spilled from her eyes she looked at Evie who was not taking the suspense for even a seconds more .

"Janey tell me exactly ,what happened yesterday " on seeing that Evie has lost her patience Janet finally spoke "yesterday '.......

After Evie hears the whole story ,her shook in terror this young girl before her has done something soo vicious last night , she couldn't use words to express her feeling .

"go home Janey aunt must be waiting for you , i would be back soon "

In one of the offices in the council a man sat lazily on the couch he was twirling a glass of red liquid ,when he heard a knock from the door ,he lazily looked up .

"what ?" he asked not making any move to stand up .

" mi lord a lady by the name Evelyn Roward requested to see you "

on hearing the name Lucas couldn't help but smile she must be very close to the little girl from the magistrate office , " let her in "

Evie walked into the office her face as gloomy as the rainy cloud.

"Vie i didn't expect to have you at my office ,it such a suprise " Lucas said with a sweet smile .

Evie looked at the him wishing she could slap that smile off his face "me too Mr lucas i woke up not even thinking that i would meet you today "

" you may have a sit would you like tea or water ? " lucas who was now standing behind his asked ,he didn't fail to notice the Mr in his name.

Evie who wasn't they to drink tea or water went straight to the point " why did you kill the magistrate "
