C13 Confrontation part 2

"why did you murder the magistrate "? Evie asked staring dagger at him , she had never thought that such a gentleman turn out to be a vicious minded murderer.

lucas smiled no taking offence to her words "you must be mistaken Vie ,i don't understand what you mean " he denied her accusetion not blinking once .

"you two faced vampire ,lost the right to call me that , you took the life of another person for no just reason , you could have punished by law , killing him was just too over board " Evie said angrily but her voice has lost the strength of anger .

" miss Evelyn ,speaking of law what do you know about the law of havethrone ?"

" that you have no right to kill a person ,it is punishable by law Mr Lucas " Evie said through gritted teeth .

The smile on lucas's lips dropped he ,he stood up walking opposite his table he pulled out a chair making a screech sound, "miss Evelyn if you have come to find reason to why i killed the magistrate , you must really need a sit "

"does that mean you murdered him ?" Evie asked as she sat down.

"it sounds so evil when you calls it murder ,lady Evie i only punished the old man by law " Lucas paused ,he walked to the table pouring a glass of water ,he pushed towards Evia .

" you came to seek justice for the dead , he almost raped your little friend , don't you have anything to say about that " lucas paused to see her puzzled expression , it seems she didn't know the full story .

" a year ago a lady named lilian a widow with two children, murderered her kids and commited suicide by hanging , the magistrate reported that the lady has an illusional illness ,that gets her confused , the case was closed ,but last night at the magistrate office ,there was a letter sent to the old man “ lucas walked to his desk taking out an envelope from his drawer , he gave it to her .

Evie took the envelope ,her light grey eyes fixed on his as she opened the envelope she took out the letter .

The letter was short but the words weren't short ,they meant alot more , Evie looked at him him with doubt , “she had an affair “?

“ after her husband's death ,she went to the magistrate for aid.... “

“that man would never offer aid to anyone “ Evie scoffed .

“ but he did offered her aid “lucas chuckled , he walked around coming to stand behind her , “ he introduced her to a rich merchant who was supposed to give her a job ,but istead the man forced her to bed , when lilian threatened to report this merchant to the council , she wrote the magistrate a letter which you just read that ,she had spoken about being intimate with the merchant , the magistrate sent the letter to the merchant ,he replied with a half burnt paper to mute the lady , but your lazy magistrate choose to make things a little easier for himself ,the night he went to commit the evil act the children were awake and saw him strangle their mother , to shut the up ,he killed them too “

“what evidence do you have that he was the murderer ,?“ Evie asked , the story had turned more bloody than she had thought ,she took the glass of water on the table and drank half the water .

“like you said the magistrate was soo lazy and careless he left clues behind ,a piece of his clothe that lillian must have torn when she struggled “

Evie suddenly felt hot breath near ears “ miss Evelyn would you love to say something , would you like to know how many more women ,the old magistrate defiled ?, i have sent him to his grave ,with less torture , i have done more than good ,but if miss Evelyn refuses you accept it ,then perhaps it not my problem,i only did my job “ after those words lucas stood straight with a smirk .
