C9 Fate

Lucas looked at her wondering if this was coincidence or maybe fate or even destiny, he had not expected to meet her ever again after the party , he had brushed her off , but seeing her again it seems he had done nothing.

when her lips apologized he couldn't helo but stare at her bowed look .

"there is nothing to be sorry for ,lady Via , if i had been looking properly i would not have bumped into you , it.seems you want to get something from the black market "

Evie got confused ,but just then she realized the place the man had walked into was the black market that was populary known as the dark market , where anything is sold .

"i thought i saw someone i knew go in there ,but i lost sight of that person " Evie explained .

"may be it was just your thought , are you leaving now ?" Lucas asked .

"yes i have gotten what i needed "Evie said showing the sack bagged tomatoes .

"if lady vie would permit i would send her home "Lucas said as they started walking out the market .

Evie would have rejected the offer if she wasn't interested in this man, "of course if you are willing , and you can just call me Vie i insist "

"if you insist , i would be honoured to Vie " Lucas said as they walked close to his carriage , he asked her , "where do you live so i can give my coach man your address "

"hallthom " Evie replied walking next to him , when they got into the carriage he ordered the coach man to drive towarda hallthom .

Inside the carriage Evie sat opposite to Lucas with the bag of tomatoes sitting on her laps.

"do you live in caltot "? Evie asked curiosly looking at him .

"no i only came for work at caltot and happen to bump into you ,it must be fate " Lucas said looking back at her he was watching her every expression , he didn't believe in such coincidence.

"i didn't know you believe such thing Lucas " Evie said

"why wouldn't i ,why would you think i wouldn't ?"

"because you look like an educated man from a noble family , you must have been thought against such ,and as a vampire i believe you have different beliefs " Evie explained not blinking as she stared at the man

" you are right vie , we vampires have different beliefs from humans , example humans believe that if you die you go to heaven or hell according to your deeds , but we vampires believe that after death they are no after lives, but fate is generally for all creatures " Lucas said .

Evie nodded in absolute understanding “let consider it as fate then “

"did you come all the way from hallthom to buy tomatoes "? lucas askes finding it weird and suspicious .

"i came to caltot to deliver a letter to the post office for my distance relations " Evie explained

"What happened to the post office at hallthom ?" as far he knew there were post office provided for each village .

"after the death of the old man , the post office has been closed "

"amd the magistrate ,didn't he know "?

"the man is too lazy he barely manages the village , i have sent letters to the lords multiples of times , but they have been no response "

"on what name did you send the letters ,how long now "? Lucas asked while trying to remember if he had encountered such letters .

"the first one was sent ,six months ago ,while the other two was sent three months , but the lord didn't respond even after receiving the letters , he must be a heartless creature " Evie said anger evident in her eyes .

Lucas hadn't noticed it the first time she talked about the lord back in the mansion , but now he could vividly see the dislike she has for the lord .
