C5 The Enigmatic Encounter

It's been days now since I last had an encounter with Emily. I do not know how long I would have to be a guide to her. I don't think I would be able to continue like this.

I've been given a task for the last ten years to be her protector. Until her power begins to unveil. It has been my sacred duty, a secret I couldn't disclose to anyone, not even the pack. For the past ten years, I have developed feelings for Emily. Feelings I cannot comprehend.

For ten years, I've loved her from afar. I could not disclose my true nature to her. I learned patience throughout those years. I don't even care that she's a result of an abominable act made years ago.

I am known to be very brutal and cruel but when around Emily I feel a sense of peace in my heart, I become soft. It makes me angry and also vulnerable.

I wish I could tell her everything but this is a path she has to unravel herself and find her way to her true destiny. Sooner or later the presence of her powers will be noticed and it won't take long for other werewolves to discover her. The only thing still keeping her unnoticed is that veil that has been suppressing her werewolf side. She needs to find her way as soon as possible so that the proph….

“Alpha Scott, Alpha….” I heard a voice from behind, I was so lost in thought that I wasn't able to sense a presence coming towards me.

“Yes, what do you want Zara?” I asked coldly as usual.

“Your father has a message for you,” she said.

“What does he want from me this time?” I thought.

My father and I have always been at loggerheads with each other. I hated him as a father, he wasn't a typical father figure to me after my mother died because of his mistakes and bad character. She was captured by humans and dismembered.

“What does the message say, Zara?” I asked.

“He wants you to attend the council meeting and support him in being the leader of the werewolf Moon Circle,” she replied.

“Why does he want my presence when he will win the leadership anyway? I do not have time for that.” I replied harshly.

“Alpha Scott if I may speak, we have to be present for this event to show that our pack is with the Moon Circ….”

“Zara! I never asked you to speak, I looked deeply through her. I am the Alpha and I give the orders, what you have to do is follow every single detail I give to you. Do I make myself clear?” I spoke calmly yet with a voice that can make mountains tremble.

“ I’m… I'm sorry… Alpha I’m sorry.” she stammered.

“Leave,” I said in a whisper.

She quickly walked away as fast as she could….

**************

Three weeks had passed since my mother took me to my father’s old study room. What I discovered has left me in shock for days now.

When we reached the old study room that once belonged to my father, the weight of the history that enveloped the space was palpable. Dust motes danced in the rays of sunlight that filtered through the aged curtains, casting a mesmerizing illumination upon the forgotten relics that lay strewn in forgotten corners.

"Emily, this room holds the key to your father's legacy," my mother said, her voice tinged with a quiet determination. "Your father spent countless hours unraveling the enigma that bound his ancestors to the werewolf moon circle and he tried as hard as he could for you not to be part of it," she explained.

“He didn't want you to be like him, he wanted you to have a normal life with your human side.”

“Your father left behind a trail of wisdom, one that may shed light on the path that lies before us," my mother continued, her eyes alight with a glimmer of hope.

We carefully began to sift through the weathered tomes and tattered scrolls that lined the shelves, each page holding the potential to unlock the secrets that had long eluded us. The weight of the ages seemed to press upon my shoulders, and yet, there was an undeniable allure in the pursuit of the enigmatic truths that lay hidden within the annals of time.

Suddenly, my gaze fell upon a peculiar leather-bound journal, its cover embellished with the insignia of a lustrous moon and the same symbol as the pendant. As I gingerly opened its weathered pages, the words of my father seemed to resound with an ethereal resonance, as if beckoning to us from across the veil of time.

Within the pages, my father had chronicled the stories of our ancestors, the trials and triumphs that had shaped the very essence of our lineage. Each inked passage intimated an ethereal connection to the werewolf moon circle, a bond that transcended mortal understanding, entwining our destinies with the enigmatic forces that had long held sway over our lives.

In the faded ink of my father's handwriting, I uncovered the details of an encounter that echoed with the resonance of destiny.

My father spoke in the journal about a prophecy of ancient times. He wrote about a True Luna, A Luna that will either come to save or destroy all existence. I became confused, about why my father had multiple researches on this particular prophecy.

Just then we saw writing, a strange language. Surprisingly I was able to interpret it. It said….

“The true Alpha who would come foremost, His actions hold the path to the rise of the true Luna”

I didn't yet place the meaning of what I just interpreted because what I saw next shook me beyond measure. I saw a picture of me and my father in the prophecy. The picture had a precise resemblance to me and my father. My father was the True Alpha and I am the powerful True Luna, born leader of werewolves pack.

I took a look at my mother. She was also dumbfounded as I was. How can a prophecy as old as time have the exact appearance of me? My mind was racing, my heart was beating so fast.

I thought of what had happened to my father. His disappearance wasn't normal. Something might have transpired. There must be something that connects all this information. I was lost.

Tears welled up in my eyes. All I could think of was to fall on my knees and cry my eyes out in the comfort of my mother's arm.

I lay on my bed looking at the ceiling. Trying to process the events since the last months…. Just then I sensed the presence of Jason. I stood up immediately.

“What are you doing here Jason?” I asked.

“ Emily, I know what you are. I'm here to help in any way I can even when I'm aware I'm risking my life in the process. I love you, Emily. I want to be part of your journey. Yes, It took me some time to accept, But the heart knows what it wants. And my heart wants you Emily.” He confessed.

Jason took a few steps close to me unfrightened. He brushed my face, His bright blue eyes staring into mine with so much love and passion. He wrapped his arms around my waist now close as ever so that I felt his hot breath.

Before I could say a word. He took his lips into mine and kissed me vigorously, I wanted to push him away but my body wanted his touch, and my mind wanted any chance to shut out the world in the meantime. So I gave in without another thought…..

*****************

Finally, we reached Silverwood town. It was a big town filled with many humans. A smile crept on my face as I imagined the chaos I was about to rain on this filthy place.

As I stood up on a mountain observing their every move. I sensed a rare unusual presence among them. At first, I thought I was mistaken. But my instinct grew even more. I felt a presence that I hadn't felt for a long time. A presence I only felt each time I and my father went to show respect to The True Alpha Ethan.

“Impossible!” I exclaimed.

“It's not possible, He has been dead for years now,” I said.

On hearing my voice, Lucian ran to meet me to inquire what the problem was.

“Master, Master I heard you shouting. Is everything alright my lord?” He asked with concern.

“Fool, can't you sense the presence of the power surging from the midst of the people? Someone or something is here. A powerful werewolf is here I can feel it.” I said with my eyes closed feeling the gravity of the power.

“Yes, Master, I can sense it. It seems very powerful. As powerful as True Alpha Ethan.” He replied.

“Only that this presence I am feeling is far greater than True Alpha Ethan’s power but it's covered with a sacrificial veil that may make it hard for the werewolf to be identified. A true werewolf walks in their midst and they are not aware, interesting.” I said astonished

“The Moon Circle Council may not be aware of this rare Werewolf. Master, we can use this discovery to our advantage,” Lucian said.

I turned to face Lucian, held his cheeks

“Oh, my loyal smart servant, I have a better plan,” I said with a big smile.

“Release the pets, it's time for hunting….”
