C4 The party (1)

Evelyn's room was located on the last floor of the domitorium, to her surprise, the room was quite splendid and nicely furnished, to the far left was a bunk bed provided with its bed light for reading purposes, and to the right was a well-furnished locker to store one's items of luggage out of sight and mind with each side of the locker having a separate key for each student, at the far end was a door leading to the rest room, the room to Evelyn's surprise was quite spacious with a window at its left and a reading table placed not too far away from the bunk bed.

"Not bad." She heard Matilda say with a wide grin plastered on her face as she strolled casually around the room, Evelyn walked towards the locker before placing both her luggages carefully inside, feeling tired from the long torturous journey she slumped hard on the bed.

"Are you always this quiet?." Matilda asked with a slight frown, she had noticed how quiet Evelyn had been throughout their walk towards the room.

"I'm tired Matilda, it's been a long day," she replied tiredly with her eyes still closed.

"There's gonna be a party in a few minutes aren't you coming?." she heard Matilda's question making her flutter her eyes open as she stared at Matilda in disbelief

"A party? we just got here."

"So?, it's a chance to get to know ourselves better especially with the old students, there's also going to be a party tomorrow and next, but I want to go for this one."

"Why?." Evelyn asked with a raised brow

"I heard it from someone that Leonard is going to be attending and besides everyone's attending, you'll be looked at as a lonely weirdo if you don't show up, it's always important to give a nice first impression on people especially in a school as this."

Evelyn's mouth twitched a little with the mention of Leonard, she still vividly remembered how rudely the pretty boy had acted and talked to an elder, "what a jerk." she thought, lost in thoughts her cheeks flushed red a little remembering the devilish smile he had given her earlier, the last thing she wanted to see him again, his whole being screamed of danger.

Still, she couldn't deny Matilda's point, it might affect her if she refuses to attend, some might see her as a loner and a weirdo which of course would only attract more attention to her herself which was the last thing she needed right now, not in a school like this, taking a deep sigh she stood up from bed with the resolve to attending to save her self from future trouble.

"Fine, I'll go take a shower, when does it start?" she asked

"In about twenty minutes" came Matilda's simple reply.

Evelyn was led through the dark gloomy forest of St Donavan Academy towards the location of the party, making it less scary along the way she saw students some of which she easily recognized to be among the new intake of students seemingly heading towards the party, there were some students she couldn't remember which she guessed to be old students of the academy, Evelyn getting to the party almost stepped on a broken bottle luckily for her Matilda who had been quiet throughout their entire journey probably feeling nervous of having to talk with Leonard was quick to spot it.

"Watch your steps" she yelled out loud making Evelyn halt her steps, she trailed her sight downwards and found a broken bottle on the ground.

"Thank you" she muttered her thanks to Matilda with the blonde-haired girl nodding her head in response, the party as Evelyn had expected was packed with students, on one side some of them which included sweaty and drunken teenagers dancing around the campfire that was set at the center of the empty field and on the other were teenagers making out in the plain open fields with girls moaning out loud in pleasure, there were also some students having a friendly chat while some were stationed at each corner supplying drugs to whoever was in need to one.

Evelyn not used to being in crowded places could feel her forehead get sweaty from nervousness as she clutched her black jacket tightly, Evelyn was dressed in a white T-shirt covered with a black jacket and black pants complemented with a pair of white sneakers, her white hair was tied into a bun, Although she had purposely dressed in a simple like manner it still did not help in not attracting lustful gazes from boys who were attracted to her beautiful appearance and alluring white hair.

"Hey, you ladies care for some coke?." A short blacked haired boy with black eyes asked with a glint of mischief etched on his face, on his neck he had a tattoo of a palm with a red eye in the middle, settled on his lips was a cigarette which emitted smoke Evelyn found to be repulsive.

"Yes," Matilda said with a smile as she collected the drugs from the black-haired boy while paying him in return.

"If you are ever in need of more this is my number," he said with a smile slipping a card into Matilda's small purse that was held firmly in her hands, Matilda nodded with a slight smile in understanding before the black-haired boy left.

"Do you need?." Matilda offered with a smile.

"No thank you." She quickly declined and not a moment later a series of muttering could be heard squinting her eyes trying to find the reason she felt her heart skip a beat sighting the cause for it, he was here.

"Leonard," Matilda exclaimed faintly with a wide grin as she felt her cheeks flushed red upon sighting the pretty boy Leonard who had walked into the party with a group of three boys behind him.
