“Are you pregnant?” Emily blurted out. My entire body went chill. I had specifically warned Carlos to never mention I was pregnant or had miscarried to anyone. Emily's question left me completely blank.

But thankfully, Jimmy came to my rescue.

“Pregnant? What are you saying
