C69 Spoiled

The glorious scent of waffles and coffee tickled Callie’s nose and senses awake. She opened her eyes to the soft morning light filtering in from the half-opened curtains.

“Vin?” she called out softly when she couldn’t feel him beside her in bed.

“Ah, you’re awake,” he replied. “How are you feeling?”

Unsettled by Vin’s attentiveness, Callie shook her head, willing her memories to surface
