C6 The Scorching Confrontation

《The next day》

After Michael left the house last night, Fiona never set eyes on him again. She knew where he had spent the night but I didn't care anymore. She had finally decided to end her marriage with him so whatever he does with his life is none of her business any longer.

She was at the café with Tacha, just lazing around as there were no customers at that moment when we heard a loud revving sound. She looked outside only to see a fancy looking sports car entering the driveway.

Fiona sighed deeply when she realized who owned the car. The sports car was Michael’s gift to Prisca on her last birthday. She knew that because Prisca never failed to show it off at every given opportunity she had.

After she had parked the car, Prisca emerged out of it, wearing a fancy looking short dress and heels to match. She really looked like a model. It was so surprise that someone like Michael would fall deeply in love with her.

"What is that bitch doing here??" Tacha asked with a deep frown on her face when she saw Prisca.

Fiona knew what she had come to do; himilate her as always while keeping on an innocent face. She catwalked into the building, her hips moving side to side as she walked.

"Fiona." She called out with a fake smile when she laid her eyes on her.

"What do you want?" Tacha asked her as she stood in front of Fiona like a human shield, ready to defend her.

"Woah.. woah.. easy. What's up with the defensive stance??" Prisca asked in amusement.

"Why are you here, Prisca?" Tacha asked again, more seriously than the first time.

"To buy a cup of coffee of course." She answered.

"Really?? That's what you came here for?" Tacha asked again, her tone filled with disbelief.

"Why else would I be at this cafe?" She asked back.

Tacha stared at her silently, trying to see through her while Prisca gave her a fake innocent smile. Fiona knew that there was no way to stop her from getting what she wanted so she signalled to Tacha that she would go get her order.

Tacha tried to stop her but Fiona gave her a small reassuring smile so Tacha sighed and let her do what she wanted to.

"How would you like your coffee?" Tacha asked her.

"Why can't the person preparing it ask me the question?" Prisca asked back, irritating Tacha the more. Tacha was about to retort when Fiona shook my head, indicating that she should hold back.

Tacha grumbled under her breath, angry that Fiona let Prisca treat her that way she is not knowing that how hard Fiona was trying to hold back. Fiona knew what would happen if she insulted or attacked Prisca.

She didn't want Michael to unleash his wrath on Tacha; that was the only reason she let Prisca walk over her.

"I want it with little sugar, no milk, and hot." Fiona arched her brows, wondering why she would order her coffee that way when she loved sugary things.

Fiona held her tongue, deciding not to ask any questions, and got to work. She prepared the coffee the way she wanted it and served it to her on a small tray. Prisca took a large sip and spat out everything immediately.

Fiona wasn't able to react in time so the contents splattered all over her face and clothes, drenching her body. Since it had already been in Prisca’s mouth, it wasn't as hot as the remaining ones in the mug.

"What the fuck!!!" Prisca screamed out as she fanned her mouth. Fiona on the other hand stood at a spot, filled with shock at her sudden reaction.

"What the hell is wrong with you??" Tacha asked as she rushed over to Fiona’s side.

"Are you okay?" She asked her as she helped Fiona wipe the coffee dripping from her face.

Fiona’s anger was slowly building up but she tried to keep herself calm. She couldn't put the lives of both her unborn baby and Tacha in danger all because a spoilt bitch.

"Sorry.. I didn't realise that you were there." Prisca uttered as she sent Fiona a smug smile.

"Really? You didn't do this on purpose?" Tacha asked back.

"I'm not at fault. I don't know why she had to make the coffee so hot and bitter. I would have hurt my mouth if I hadn't spat it out." Prisca replied.

"Weren't you the one who ordered it that way?" Tacha asked again as she attempted to lounge at her but Fiona held her back.

"I did?? When??" Prisca asked with a small chuckle.

"I guess the issue you have with your voice is slowly affecting both of your ears because I never and would never order my coffee that way." Prisca mocked.

"Tacha, a word of advice; you should limit the way you associate with her because she is affecting you in the wrong way." She muttered.

Fiona balled her fists tightly, trying so hard to calm herself down as she listened to her hurtful words. She kept telling herself that she wasn't worth it and to just let her be.

"Oh… and for the horrible coffee, have this..." She threw out a bunch of dollar bills.

"Catch you later." She muttered with a smirk and turned on her heels. She was about to leave when Tacha suddenly pulled herself from Fiona’s hold, picked up the remaining coffee, and poured it on her back.

"Argghh!!" Prisca screamed out in pure agony as the hot coffee burned her flesh.

"You fucking bitch!!" She cussed out as she danced on her spot. Her pale skin had turned bright red. She had no blister as her wolf was healing the burn but it was obvious that it still hurt her.

"Now you know how it feels!!" Tacha said with a wicked smile.

"You!! You'll pay for this!! I'll make sure Michael punishes you for this!!" She said to Fiona, her face red with pain and anger. She knew she couldn't fight back as Tacha would easily overpower her and that made her angrier.

"Take your money because you need it more than we now," Tacha said as she picked up the dollar bills and threw them at her.

Prisca couldn't bear the pain anymore as she ran out of the café with tears in her eyes.

After she had left, Fiona finally got out of her shocked state. "Why did you do that?" She asked in sign language.

"Someone needed to teach that bitch a lesson. I couldn't stand the way she was talking to you." Tacha answered.

"But.."

"Hush now. Let's forget about her. She deserved it and that's all that matters." Tacha said, cutting her off.

Fiona stared at her in worry, wondering what Michael was going to do to her. She knew he wasn't going to let her go scot free if Prisca goes crying to him. She needed to make sure Tacha is safe because she took that action for her.

She was still thinking about the next step to take when she received a text message from the hospital she was admitted to yesterday. They texted to inform her that her medical report had been sent to her emergency contact address.

The moment she read that, she was filled with panic. If Michael sees the report, he would find out about her pregnancy and her baby's life would be at stake. She rushed back home immediately to intercept the document.

Thankfully, she managed to retrieve it on time before anyone else could. She took the document with her and locked it in a drawer in her closet. She sighed deeply, reassured that she wasn't caught by anyone.

That night, she was about to head to bed when she received a call from Tacha. He stared at her phone, surprised as to why Tacha would call her at such a time. She placed the phone to her ear after picking up the call.

"Fiona.." Tacha’s voice sounded but it sounded so distant and pained unlike the way it was earlier that day. At some point, Fiona could hear her sobbing.

Fiona sat up on her bed immediately, realising that Michael had hurt Tacha, all because of Prisca.
