C544 Suicide(2)

It was a long way to come, but I felt a lot faster when I got back. Before midnight, we had already arrived at Vinck. When we left, we weren't in the mood to pay attention to the dilapidated monastery. After we returned, however, we felt that the building of the monastery was extremely strange. It was like a pagoda, not a pagoda. It was like an altar, not an altar. In the dark of the night, it was like a sword had been stabbed into the soil. The surrounding wall of the "sword" was like a bamboo basket.

"Zhang Loong, I feel that this building is even more terrifying than the Tower of Darkness." Grace is obviously the same as me. He did not pay attention to this strange monastery when he left in a hurry.

Ekdo said, "When I was born, this place was already a forbidden area. Although there were no guards guarding it, no one dared to approach it. Legend has it that this place is very close to the Nether River. If you are not careful, you will fall into it."

"Let's go to the Nether River to take a bath!" Grace straightened his chest and strode into the dark monastery's door.

When we returned to the temple where the stone statues were placed, the candle was still on. All the stone statues had disappeared, leaving only empty stone seats. old temple attendant, whose eyebrows and beard were white, sat upright and leaned against the wall with the devil totem on it, his head lowered.

"Old man..." Ekdo slowly walked up to him.

"Dead." Ekdo turned his head in fear. My heart sank and I quickly caught up. The old man's body, covered by his long hair, was covered with incomprehensible runes that were carved with sharp knives. On the marks, the blood had yet to solidify.

"He carved it himself!" Grace pointed at the old man's right hand, his voice filled with fear.

Old temple attendant's right hand was hidden behind his body. The blood on the tip of the knife had frozen.

"Why did he use a knife to cut his own body?" Grace was very sure that the old man had used the knife to carve those runes on his body.

I seemed to have seen those runes in Blind-Seers's tomb, on the altar at the peak of Mount Arreat.

"Why did you commit suicide? The older a person is, the more they cherish their own life." Ekdo faced an old man who committed suicide, and the most primitive fear emerged in his heart.

What was the purpose of the old man leaving behind these traces by committing suicide? Had Hyde Borg really returned? I was at a loss for a moment. If old temple attendant was killed by Hyde Borg... I can understand, but what does this creepy scene imply?

"Has Hyde Borg really come back?" Grace had the same question.

I shook my head. "I don't know either." In an instant, I felt a trace of despair. All the clues seemed to have been cut off. If the demon who was good at hiding deliberately hid himself... I don't think I have the ability to find him.

I tried my best to concentrate my spiritual energy to sense old temple attendant's undead, but I couldn't do it. It seemed like I had truly become a useless piece of trash.

I fell to the ground and muttered in my heart, "Master Marina, Anya, I have let you down."

"Big brother." Two brother-like comrades squatted beside me, their eyes full of worry.

"We will find this devil. I will go back now. I will use all of Dryad's strength to dig three feet into the ground and drag this devil out." Ekdo stood up immediately.

Grace gave Ekdo a look and said, "Big brother, don't worry. Perhaps this is because Hyde Borg is deliberately mystifying us. Perhaps this devil is hiding somewhere nearby. Why don't we look for him carefully?"

I stared at them blankly. They had already tried their best. But they still can't make me feel relieved. Even if Ekdo could use his entire strength to find Hyde Borg, I don't know how long it would take for him to find him. As for Marina, whose soul is badly damaged, and Anya and the master, who can't even truss a chicken, how can they still have time to wait for us?

"Grace, can you understand these runes?" Ekdo looked at Grace helplessly.

Grace shook his head and said sadly, "If Ennyah was here, perhaps she would be able to decipher these symbols. Ennyah is extremely smart and has a deep understanding of mysterious symbols. What a pity."

"Big brother, you are also a mage. Don't tell me you don't understand at all?" Ekdo seemed to be certain that these mysterious runes were the only clues left.

Those runes are indeed familiar, but I really can't understand a single one of them.

"Take the old man's corpse to see Hardell. Maybe he can decipher it!" Grace also stood up.

I seemed to see a glimmer of light. I nodded and said, "Yes, go and find Hardell!"

The strange Earth Rock Demon twisted its little body and walked past me. It walked straight towards the dead old temple attendant.

When had this lazy fellow ever taken the initiative to do so? Is he going to carry the old man's corpse and leave?

The Earth Rock Demon held old temple attendant's face with both hands and twisted it to the left, then to the right. It looked carefully again and again, as if it was admiring its beloved toy.

"You bastard, don't be rude!" I was so angry that smoke was rising from my seven orifices. He was already dead, how could I play with his corpse?

As soon as he finished speaking, a living old temple attendant stood up. The three of us couldn't help but be dumbfounded. The Earth Rock Demon had duplicated old temple attendant's body, and this strange thing could actually make the dead reappear.

"The Evil King, Zu Dan, has already broken the magic array, and is now heading towards the Cage of Hatred. If his plan succeeds, the King of Hatred, Mephisto, will be awakened. The darkness of Mortal Realm will descend once again. You all came too late. If the King of Hate and the King of Destruction can reconcile, there won't be any power left to stop them..." old temple attendant murmured.
